Chapter 443 - Cagliostro

It was just that when Blaine looked over, he heard someone speaking. When he listened carefully, something seemed to occur to him. He quickly wrote down that sentence and kept it in his heart.

Looking up, it turned out that the Black sorcerer was introducing another type of magic to Stephen Strange.

Now, the Black sorcerer was holding a small stick in his hand that looked like both wood and gold. But after he finished speaking, Stephen Strange and Blaine's eyes were opened in the next second.

The Black sorcerer held the stick in his hand, then swung it violently. A long golden-red whip rushed out from the small wooden stick. It was a magical whip.

As the Black sorcerer kept waving the magic whip, not only did a fierce wind follow it, but crackling magical arcs actually flashed across it.

In this way, Blaine stayed at the Kamar-Taj Academy of Magic for several days in a row. In the evenings, he continued to study magic in the library. During the day, he observed other people's magic from time to time, or made a few gestures with his hands to verify the thoughts in his heart. Occasionally, he drank a cup of tea and took a break. This little life was quite nourishing. Not to mention, it really did feel a bit like an ascetic monk practicing in seclusion.

This evening, Blaine was still the same as before, sitting on top of a certain bookshelf deep in the library. After today, Blaine should be able to finish reading almost all the books here. Although Blaine did not have a photographic memory, with his extremely strong memory, he could roughly memorize the collection. In addition, he did not need to understand some complicated and trivial matters, so there was not much left.

However, there was still an important book Blaine had not found yet, even though he had been searching for it from the first day until two days ago.

Because Blaine knew the Marvel plot, he knew that there was a magic book in the library that the Ancient One had obtained from somewhere. This book recorded all the white magic in the world.

Why was it called white magic? Blaine did not know the definition either. Was it magic opposite to Dormammu's? If it did not use dark matter, was it white magic?

In fact, Blaine had been suspicious of the Ancient One before. Because Blaine had been to the dark space opened by the metal key fragments, he knew that his old enemy might be the dark world, and this dark world was likely to have some unknown connection with dark matter and Dormammu.

As for the Ancient One, who had started out relying on dark matter and even absorbed energy from the Dark Dimension to prolong her life, she naturally deserved Blaine's suspicion.

As for now, when Blaine knew that the Ancient One had not only learned dark magic, but also knew all white magic, he seemed to have new doubts. At first, he had worried whether the Ancient One was a foreshadowing planted by his enemies, a thorn from the dark. But this doubt should be eliminated soon, because the Ancient One's lifespan was approaching its end.

And this book, which recorded all the white magic in the world, was also known as the Book of Cagliostro. This book could not only continue to expand the types of magic Blaine had come into contact with, but also allow him to master the magic of controlling time. Of course, that depended on the Time Stone to complete.

Also, this book contained a method to open the dark matter space—that is, to summon Dormammu. Naturally, those two pages had long been taken away by students of the Kamar-Taj School of Magic, namely the traitors of the Ancient One.

But this did not prevent Blaine from wanting to study it. Unfortunately, at the beginning, Wong guarded the library every night, watching Blaine like a thief, afraid he would take away the books here.

In the end, Wong probably felt that Blaine was really only reading and had not made any small moves, so he relaxed his vigilance. However, the Book of Cagliostro was kept so carefully that Blaine still had not come across it.

Until three days ago, Stephen Strange's magic practice had finally gotten on the right track. It had to be said that this guy could succeed at anything. As a doctor, he could drive a Lamborghini, live in a mansion, and now, after learning magic for only a few days, he had already achieved a small accomplishment.

That night, while Wong was dozing off, Stephen Strange actually opened a portal to steal books from the library.

At first, Blaine did not care, until he found out the next day that Stephen Strange had stolen the Book of Cagliostro. Blaine did not know where he had found it. In any case, Blaine had searched for several days and had not found it. Could it be that Stephen Strange had not simply been chosen? Had even the Book of Cagliostro come to him automatically?

That was to say, from that day on, Blaine began paying special attention to Stephen Strange, waiting for him to relax, or watching where he put the book so he could take the opportunity to walk away with it.

Unfortunately, Blaine almost followed Stephen Strange around, but every time this guy finished reading the book, Wong would hide it away. Whenever Strange wanted to read it, he could steal it from Wong again. This matter made Blaine depressed for a long time.

So today, Blaine had to catch Stephen Strange and directly snatch it from him. As for why it had to be today, it was because Blaine had already checked things out long ago. The librarian would not be here tonight. There would only be Blaine himself, so presumably Stephen Strange would definitely come to steal books.

When the time came, while Stephen Strange was reading, Blaine would appear without anyone noticing, first give Stephen Strange a slap in the face, and then logically take the book away. It was reasonable, and most importantly, it would be done without anyone knowing. Apart from Stephen Strange, no one would know that Blaine had taken it.

At midnight, around ten o'clock, Blaine indeed saw a sneaky figure enter through the darkness. Then that person sat down carelessly in front of Wong's desk. From who knew where, he took out a thick book. Its outer cover was exquisite, the mark of the Eye of Agamotto seemed to be printed on the cover, and the book was even bound with a small iron chain, showing just how precious it was.

In the darkness, Blaine took a closer look. Wasn't that book the Book of Cagliostro? That person was, of course, Stephen Strange.

Stephen Strange was still eating an apple when he came in. How bold did he have to be? Was he treating this place like his own home? Then Stephen Strange placed the half-eaten apple on the table and began reading seriously.

Blaine did not bother him either. He waited for the movement outside to subside and for the other students to fall asleep. Then he waited for Stephen Strange to relax his vigilance before making his own move.

Time passed minute by minute and second by second. Ten o'clock, ten-thirty, eleven o'clock, eleven-thirty. Blaine could no longer keep reading the book in his hand.
