He watched her face carefully as he continued.
"Your father's brother's son. Your cousin." He said the words with quiet, deliberate weight. "Forced women to get Numerous abortions, Cora. Numerous. And I have documentation of every single one."
The air in the warehouse seemed to thicken.
"And your father's brother himself - your uncle - I have information about what he did to two women. Two women who never got justice, whose stories were buried and silenced and paid away quietly, and whose suffering was swept under a very expensive rug." His voice remained calm throughout, which somehow made it worse.
"Yes, I know they are both gone now. I know they are dead. But the information is very much alive, and the people who would be affected by that information coming to light are very much still here."
He tilted his head slightly.
