The father-in-law gave the dog a couple of good pats on the head after approaching Qin Miao, then explained, "Our neighbor's Border Collie next door had a litter. After Meng found out, she went over to get a puppy from them."
Qin Miao wiped the saliva on his hand onto the dog's back without a hint of change on his face, "Is there any saying about having a dog with kids around the house?"
The father-in-law replied, "I'm not too sure, but the doctor mentioned that having a dog at home can introduce more diverse microbes to children, boosting their immunity. Plus, they'd have a playmate, which is good for their character development.
You don't need to worry about the health issues, the rabies vaccine and such have been taken care of. Your mom and mother-in-law are quite concerned about this dog.
At the very least, their time spent managing Meng has obviously decreased.
Plus, there's also a cat at home, but we're not sure where it ran off to right now.
