" That fucking tiger," Zoi muttered as a werewolf's lifeless body plummeted into the pit. "What the..." Lumina said, her voice trailed off in surprise.
Delta, Alfa, Gunter, and the rest of Zoi's soldiers materialized beside him, their eyes fixed on the edge of the cliff, as the tiger came closer, "here it comes" Zoi thought. The cyber-toothed tiger, in a more magnificent and powerful form, immediately jumped down into the pit.
"Kill it," Zoi growled, his expression fierce.
The soldiers charged forward, leaving Gunter, Alfa and Delta with Zoi, as the soldiers attacked, Zoi waited for results but suddenly Zoi's eyes widened in surprise, the numbers of his soldiers were decreasing at a rapid rate. "What!, I'm sure I still have a lot of mana left," he thought, checking his status screen, before noticing his mana had already dropped to zero.
Zoi's gaze snapped back to the battle, but suddenly his face was painted with terror. None of his soldiers remained, they were all dead. In the blink of an eye,Cyger was about to chomp down on his head, but Gunter, Alfa, and Delta intervened, pushing the beast away, just in time.
The three survivors circled Cyger, attacking in a coordinated strategy. Zoi, frozen in fear, watched as Alfa jumped towards Cyger for another attack, only to be grabbed mid-air and killed.
"Zoi, what're you doing? Snap out of it!" Lumina's voice jolted him back to reality.
"Right, sorry," Zoi muttered, the Omniscient Dagger materializing in his hand, "I shouldn't be daydreaming at an important time like this" he said as he launched himself at Cyger, moving at an incredible speed, and stabbed the beast through its belly.
"I'll make sure to give you a stigmatized scar if I can't kill you this time," Zoi snarled, as he pushed forward, crushing Cyger into the wall. "Thanks for the meal" Zoi said as the dagger changed form, immediately Zoi dragged it up, splitting the stomach open.
"I thought you'd be scared, but look at you go," Lumina said.
"Fuck off… I'm" Zoi paused,as he grabbed Cyger's head. "...busy," he said, immediately crushing the beast's skull into the ground.
Zoi stood up, and spat before wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, and looked at Cyger's lifeless body , his expression twisted in disgust. " Congratulations, you've killed the cyber-toothed tiger, one of the 12 chaotic kings registered in the system, CYGER, " the system screen displayed. " Finally, " Zoi said as he clenched his fist. " Zoi, zoi, zoi " Lumina called out, pulling him back to reality. " What're you doing, it's getting closer " lumina yelled as Zoi noticed all his soldiers were dead, including Gunter and Delta.
He gnashed his teeth as Cyger appeared at his front, its mouth wide open, about to chomp Zoi's head off, but swiftly Zoi jumped back, evading the attack with a terrified expression. " What the fuck was that" zoi wondered, his heart racing. " It's a new skill it developed, happy dreams, it enables you to put your opponent in a fake reality, of what he/she wants at the moment" lumina explained. " What!, that's a cheat skill, and it got it in such a short amount of time, that's fucking not fair " zoi said. " Do you understand what you just said?" Lumina asked as Zoi paused to think. "Whatever, let's just fucking kill this shit for real" Zoi said as the O.M daggers materialized in his hands, "before the happy dreams, take effect you will feel a tingling sensation in your brain, as if you wanna sneeze, so at that moment, you have to do more than what you're thinking of doing originally" Lumina explained.
"Thanks for the tip" Zoi said, engulfed the dagger with mana and jumped towards Cyger, immediately Zoi felt the tingling sensation and suddenly stabbed his hand. "why the fuck did you do that?" Lumina asked as Zoi spun the dagger, continuing towards Cyger "I felt the sensation you talked about" Zoi replied. "That's not a reason for you to stab your hand" Lumina said "if what you said is correct, then I can't afford to enter that state again" Zoi said as he swung the dagger attempting to cut Cyger, but immediately jumped away, evading the attack with a confused expression.
Suddenly a malevolent smile spread across Zoi's face, "all I have to do is do more than what I have in mind right" Zoi asked "yeah" Lumina replied as Zoi took a fighting stance "then I'll have to give it more than a stigmatizing scar" he paused as he glared at it. "I'll kill it," he said with a fierce, determined expression. He suddenly jumps at Cyger at lightning speed "I have to surpass my limits" he thought, forcing himself further, suddenly his skin began to peel and burn, but he ignored it "don't pay attention to the pain, push further" he thought as he suddenly broke into atoms and disappeared.
Cyger looked around trying to spot Zoi, but he was nowhere to be seen. Soon after, a loud crash echoed through the air, Cyger immediately looked behind it, spotting Zoi who had hurtled into the wall, creating a massive breach. His body, painted and dripping with blood, struggled to free itself from the rubble. "Uggh, what the... Was I too fast?" he wondered, staggering to his feet. "Guess I still haven't adjusted to this new speed," he muttered, shuffling towards Cyger. He licked the blood off one of his fingers, an eerie smile spreading across his face as he pointed at Cyger. "I'll be tasting yours next," he whispered, crouching low, ready to pounce. "Concentrate... remember that rush when you broke through," he thought, taking a deep breath, eyes shut tight.
Immediately, the tiger lunged at him with a 'what the fuck was that, I have to kill him before he does that again' expression, but it was too late – Zoi had already grasped the technique. "Is this what they call enlightenment?" he said, instantly accelerating to hyper speed, even faster than before. Yet, his body still couldn't handle the velocity; his attack managed to sever only one of the tiger's ears before he crashed into the opposite wall of the pit. As the tiger landed, Zoi pulled himself out of the rubble, struggling to regain balance. "Aaaah, I've finally gotten it!" he exclaimed, acting like a madman, before turning to face Cyger with a creepy grin. "Now you're really done for," he whispered, vanishing in an instant. In the blink of an eye, Cyger was slammed into the wall, Zoi's dagger piercing its head. He shifted his grip, dragging the blade down to gip the body from mouth to stomach. Pinning the head to the wall, he plunged his hand into the belly, extracting the mana crystal (heart). But in a desperate bid, Cyger unleashed its ultimate technique – its form began to shift, injuries healing rapidly. "Warning: The mutated cyber toothed tiger 'CYGER' is entering a dangerous state. Kill it before it does. Reward: ???" The system screen appeared. "Yeah, I know that," Zoi said, but his concentration was faltering; he'd pushed his body too far, exceeding his limits. He fell to his knees, still clutching the crystal, which was being pulled back into Cyger by fleshy tendrils. White armor began to envelop Cyger, crimson lines etched across it.
Zoi, still clutching the crystal with determination, touched his face with his other hand, suddenly screaming in pain and surprise – half of his face had burnt, revealing raw flesh. No surprise, given he'd pushed his speed to unsustainable limits. Unfortunately, Cyger was nearly healed, its head closing around the dagger, cracking it. Despite agony, Zoi couldn't afford to lose a second time. He gripped the crystal tighter, grinning through the pain. "Don't think some stupid injury'll stop me," he growled. Cyger opened its mouth, preparing a beam, as it was about to fire it, Zoi shouted out, his voice filled with determination, as he wrenched the crystal free, crushing it. The tiger's effects immediately reversed, as the beam slowly died. At the end of it all, Cyger finally collapsed, lifeless.
"Congratulations, you've killed the 12th Chaotic King 'CYGER'. All injuries will now be healed," the system announced as Zoi face-planted, his body healing. A quarter of his worries were gone; he could finally take a breather. "Rewards shall now be given: all stats have increased+10, you have received 200 stat points, you're now at level 15, you have received: A magical bean, Gem of Kratos(reward from killing the CYGER before it transcended), Eminence dagger, 3 years' worth of mana, and the Staff of Esmeralda. You have received the following skills: King's Aura, Happy Dreams, Immortal Armor," the screen displayed. "Lumina, keep the body in the inventory," he said as the body vanished, simultaneously, the eminence dagger appeared in his hand.
He faced the sun, and pointed the dagger to it. "Finally," he whispered. "Sorry to disrupt your M.C moment, but shouldn't you get going?" Lumina said, annoying Zoi. "Jeez, can't you shut up?!!" he yelled, before standing up. Immediately an arrow infused with mana and wind was shot at him, about to strike his head, but in the nick of time, he tilted his head, barely dodging the attack . "Whoa there," he muttered, as he looked at where the arrow came from, his eyes suddenly widened in shock as he spotted the shooter, "you are under arrest for environmental vandalism, animal cruelty and..." a female elf around his age, with a bow in her hand paused as the wind blew, she narrowed her eyes looking down on Zoi "...nature harassment" she said with a devious smirk.
