Yun City, midnight, in a village, an abandoned shrine, with broken doors and windows, at the very back a statue of a Buddha, its gold paint peeling, cobwebs covered in dust everywhere, the sight was one of utter dilapidation.
It was such a place, especially at such a late hour, that ordinary people would neither come nor dare to come.
However, at this moment, under that Buddha statue, there was a man sitting cross-legged on the ground, with his eyes closed, meditating.
This was a man in his thirties, of average appearance, dressed in the most common attire, a set of white clothes, such that if he walked on the street, he would be just an ordinary passerby, not warranting a second glance. Yet, as he sat here now, he exuded a special aura that commanded respect and deterred any potential offense.
