Breathing became more erratic, and sweat began to form on the forehead.
The once delicate and pretty face became even rosier and more radiant.
The fair neck kept swallowing, perhaps due to excessive thirst.
Finally, unable to adjust her breathing, her small mouth began to slightly open in an attempt to take in more oxygen.
The road ahead was getting harder to see. Her limbs started to weaken, unable to exert strength.

Seizing her last moment of clarity, Aili decisively pulled the car over to the roadside, forcefully applied the handbrake, and slumped over the steering wheel, gasping for breath.
