After receiving the power of a god, Euthalia immediately set about her work.
However, she didn't expect her job to be so difficult. Before her were many parchment scrolls detailing everything that had happened over the years.
Reading each one, Euthalia trembled even more.
"What...what is this?!" - Euthalia
From Zeus's infidelity leading to Hera's punishment of his mistresses, to the gods' ostentatious display of power, which they didn't approve of, they blamed on humans. Even worse, none of them felt responsible for this, instead they turned around and blamed everyone else.
"Chaos...everything is in chaos..." - Euthalia
Euthalia never imagined that after centuries, the gods would become so undisciplined. She felt that gods and mortals were no different. The only difference is that gods are gods, and mortals are mortals.
Bow her head on the stone table; she felt mentally exhausted even before she had done anything. But now there was no turning back; Euthalia had to fulfill her duty.
Holding the parchment scroll in her hand, Euthalia went to the chariot pulled by three dogs and sped straight down to the island of Ortygia to search for a woman pregnant with Zeus's child. Along the way, Euthalia muttered curses at her brother when she heard a woman's piercing scream.
Through the white clouds, there was an island in the middle of the sea, from which the woman's scream had come. Euthalia landed and ran towards the woman; she was Leto, and she was now in the throes of painful labor.
As soon as the stranger appeared, the island of Ortygia spoke in the voice of a woman.
"Who are you? Were you sent down by Hera?!" - Ortygia
"Calm down, right now your sister's life is at stake. Oh my god, Hera is so cruel." - Euthalia
Leto is currently unable to give birth because of Hera's interference, which strictly forbids Leto from giving birth anywhere. However, the island of Ortygia, or rather Leto's sister, transformed after being chased and escaped by Zeus, although this island accepts Leto, there is still another factor causing Leto pain: Eileithyia.
The daughter of Zeus and Hera, the goddess of Childbirth, Eileithyia is not allowed to help Leto give birth under her mother's orders.
"It's been nine days and nine nights, and Hera still hasn't spared Leto?" - Euthalia
"Help...help me...it hurts so much..." - Leto pleaded
So Euthalia took out a bow, raised it straight towards the sky, aiming at the white clouds. Pulling the reins, magic gathered into a bow; releasing the reins, an arrow flew straight up into the sky.
"Open the gate to Hera for me!" - Euthalia
Releasing the bowstring, the arrow shot straight up into the sky, transforming into a giant eagle. It vanished into the white clouds, then exploded, expanding into a blue sky.
Euthalia looked up and shouted.
"Hera! No matter how much you resent Zeus's infidelity, you cannot possibly inflict this on an unborn child. That is cruel! If you spare the child and its mother, I will help you punish Zeus!" - Euthalia
Seeing no response, Euthalia began to boil with anger. If Hera didn't show up, she would have to go and talk to her herself, but she couldn't leave the woman in labor here because time in the heavens was vastly different from the earthly realm.
Just then, she saw a dark cloud with flashing lightning. Euthalia knew it was Hera. The Queen of Olympus looked at her youngest sister.
"Euthalia, how dare you interfere in your sister's affairs?" - Hera
"It's precisely your baseless jealousy that makes me have to interfere, Hera!" - Euthalia
Stomping her feet firmly on the ground, Euthalia instantly leaped onto the cloud where Hera was standing. Hera, as the elder sister and queen of Olympus, looked up at her youngest sister.
"I am the queen of Olympus, you cannot-"- Hera
"Shut your mouth!"- Euthalia
"What? How dare you say that—!"- Hera
"Shut up! I told you to shut up! Even if Olympus collapses, you must listen to me!"-Euthalia
Hera was slightly surprised by her younger sister's powerful and forceful voice, as everyone bowed before the queen of Olympus. Yet, her youngest sister, Euthalia, showed not the slightest fear, even daring to argue back.
Seeing her sister fall silent, Euthalia sighed helplessly.
"Okay, I know you're very angry with Zeus for his infidelity. But what crime did that woman commit that you're punishing her?" - Euthalia
"Because she's pregnant with his child, she deserves to be punished." - Hera
"Hera...are you stupid or something? Doing that is like bringing disgrace upon yourself!" - Euthalia, furious
"You...what did you say?" - Hera
"My dear sister, please think carefully. Leto, she hasn't loved anyone, hasn't married anyone, so finding love is right. But unfortunately, she was targeted by Zeus.
However, Zeus married you, so he's unfaithful, therefore he's in the wrong, not her. You're the goddess of marriage, how can you not understand the rules of infidelity? Isn't that what you call a goddess representing marriage?" - Euthalia
"But, she could have rejected Zeus." Hera
The young goddess placed her hands on her hips and looked at her older sister.
"My dear sister, he is a king, the king of Olympus! How can you refuse him? In the mortal world, refusing a king meant certain death. And even if she is a titan, harming a king is a grave sin. Please think before you act!" - Euthalia
"This..." - Hera
"Now, let Leto give birth to the child. I will deal with your matter with Zeus when we return. This is utterly insane!" - Euthalia sighed in frustration
Then, Hera ordered her daughter, the goddess of childbirth Eileithyia, to have Leto give birth to the child. Leto clung tightly to a tree, giving birth to a daughter with platinum blonde hair first, followed by a son with slightly tanned skin and golden hair. Euthalia then wrapped the two babies in fur blankets and, raising her hand, emitted a soft blue light.
"In my name, Euthalia, I bear witness that you are the legitimate children of Zeus." - Euthalia
The two newborn babies giggled as they watched the glitter falling from Euthalia's hands. She placed the two babies in Leto's arms and then cast a spell to protect the entire island, ensuring that no danger could reach it anymore.
There was one more important matter she needed to attend to...
"Brother Zeus!" - Euthalia
A loud cry echoed throughout the vast Olympus palace, startling Zeus, who was seated on his throne, making him realize something was about to happen.
"Oh no..." - Zeus
"Where is my precious brother? Come out and talk to me, or I will come to you!" - Euthalia
The King of Olympus had to quickly find a place to escape, otherwise he would be in grave danger. However, things didn't go as planned for Euthalia. Knowing her brother was about to escape, Euthalia spread vines to block his path.
"Oh, my great brother, where do you think you're going?" - Euthalia
Euthalia clutched a scroll in her hand, her face still bearing a kind smile, but with a hint of malice.
"Shall we talk about business?" - Euthalia
"Little sister, if there's anything—" - Zeus
*Slam!*
Zeus's words were immediately cut short as Euthalia slammed the parchment scroll to the floor, shattering it.
"Shut your mouth, you philandering, talkative scoundrel!" - Euthalia
