Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 3: THE EYES OF HEAVEN

Chapter 2: The Eyes of Heaven

The moon hung low in the night sky—cold, distant, and watchful.

Ye Ling stood beneath it, his robes rustling quietly in the wind as he stared upward. His courtyard was silent, and the entire Ye Clan had long gone to sleep, unaware that the cripple they had cast aside was no longer the same.

He took a slow breath, gathering the faint Qi of the surrounding air.

> Even the stars feel smaller now.

The body was weak, yes—but the soul inside was not.

He was once a cultivator who stood at the peak of the Immortal Realms—a sovereign whose name made emperors tremble and immortal sects bow. And yet, in the end, he had been betrayed.

By those he trusted most.

> The higher one rises, the deeper the knife buried in the back.

But betrayal was not the worst part.

Heaven watched.

Heaven knew.

And it did nothing.

Worse—when reincarnated cultivators were discovered, Heaven's Will itself moved to erase them.

He had seen it happen before.

A reincarnated Sword Sovereign had awakened in the lower realms centuries ago, his soul blazing with forgotten strength. He hadn't even reached the Foundation Realm before a wisp of celestial fire descended from the sky, erasing him entirely—body, soul, and memory.

> Heaven fears what it cannot control.

And so, Ye Ling had made a vow the moment he opened his eyes in this new body:

> "I will rise in silence. In shadow. I will not reveal myself until I can tear the sky open with my own hands."

---

He sat in quiet meditation beneath the plum tree, letting the newly restored meridians pulse with fresh spiritual energy. The Primordial Dao Origin Pill from the sign-in had not only healed his broken veins—it had improved them. His Qi control was now better than most early Foundation cultivators, despite still being at Qi Tempering Stage One.

But there was no rush.

> Power comes to those who endure. Who calculate. Who wait.

He began reviewing the realms again, grounding himself in the state of the world.

[Mortal Realm Cultivation Path]

1. Qi Tempering (1–9 Stages)

Absorb Qi, refine the body, open meridians.

Most mortals never pass Stage 3.

2. Foundation Establishment (1–9 Stages)

Create a stable cultivation base.

Marks the true beginning of a cultivator.

3. Core Formation (1–9 Stages)

Cultivators form a golden core inside the dantian.

Qi becomes purer, attacks gain force.

4. Nascent Soul (1–9 Stages)

Soul detaches and becomes sentient.

Cultivators gain spiritual projection, soul arts.

5. Divine Formation (1–9 Stages)

Fuse soul and body with Dao comprehension.

Divine senses awaken.

6. Void Formation (1–9 Stages)

Qi becomes formless. Illusions, teleportation, spatial tearing become possible.

But... even geniuses require 500 to 1,000 years, if not more.

7. Unity Realm (1–9 Stages)

One with the heavens. Mind, body, soul, and Dao unified.

Requires tremendous comprehension and Dao resonance.

Many geniuses spend 1,000–2,000 years just to reach early Unity.

8. Mahayana Realm (1–9 Stages)

The edge of divinity.

Power enough to collapse cities with a thought.

No one in the Tianxuan World has reached this in 10,000 years.

9. Nirvana Realm (1–9 Stages)

The final step before ascension. Death and rebirth.

Beyond this lies the Immortal Realm.

---

[Immortal Realm: The True Cultivator's Graveyard]

> And above Nirvana lies the Immortal Path.

In his past life, Ye Ling had walked that path.

But cultivation there was exponentially harder. Just stepping into a minor layer of an immortal realm could take tens of thousands of years. Some said:

> "To cultivate a minor step in the Immortal Realms requires 100,000 years, a mountain of divine pills, and luck granted by fate itself."

Many went mad. Others stagnated for eternity.

Ye Ling had broken through by killing—seizing pills, Dao fruits, inheritance lands, and divine treasures. He had slaughtered his way forward.

> But in this life, I will build a deeper foundation. A perfect one. So that when I rise again… no heaven will dare descend.

---

He looked up at the sky again, where no stars watched, and no gods heard.

> You burned me once.

> You will not get a second chance.

A smile curled at the edge of his lips—cold, calculated.

He would crawl through the dirt. Let others laugh. Let them mock.

Until one day…

When they looked up, they would realize the entire sky had already bowed to him.
