[3rd POV]
Amity found that she liked the Maximoff family, as she had begun to see them as. Naruto and Milim were both...interesting characters, strange, but interesting. They were also funny, kind, and much nicer than her old siblings. They weren't bullies or mean, and actually cared about her opinion.
They let her go to shops and stuff and went with her, even if they were not even remotely interested in going to said shops with her. They still went, simply because she enjoyed going. Which she found kind of strange to be honest, but Raven said that it was because they cared about her. And since she enjoyed going to those stores, they cared about going to those stores.
Since they cared for her. Her opinion mattered to them. And what she enjoyed mattered.
Much better than the two bullies that she preferred not to think about. Those two would have laughed at her and then destroyed any of the items that she had bought at the store. Probably would have done it right in front of her face on top of that.
Amity wasn't sure why they seemed to care about her so much. She knew little about them, and they knew little about her. They hadn't known each other for that long, and she had only moved into her new home for a day. On top of that, she might not even be staying there for long.
She doubted that Wanda would want her around forever. Eventually she'd be getting kicked out, she knew that for a fact.
Once again Amity forgot just what type of person Wanda Maximoff was, and how unlike her that was. She continued to think of her in similar lines of thought to that of Odalia Blight, who was not a good person.
Wanda was a much better person, even if she too was not exactly perfect or anything. Both of them had some glaring faults, Odalia had far far far more than Wanda did, and hers were far worse than what Wanda had.
Wanda was not a child abuser. She was not a racist. She was not sexist. She was not a homophobe. She was not a bully. She was not cruel and sadistic.
Odalia Blight was all of those things and then some.
Amity wondered why Raven was so okay with talking to her so much. She had answered a lot of her questions, more questions than Amity had ever thought would get answered. Had she asked Odalia that many questions, she probably would have gotten yelled at and then slapped.
Her old mother did not particularly like getting asked a lot of questions.
Neither did her father really. But unlike her mother, he did not hit her for asking them. He just looked at her like she was a moron and that was about it. Which for some reason, Amity decided hurt a lot more than getting physically hit.
It was the mental abuse from her parents that she had truly affected her. The physical abuse was one thing, she had been able to withstand it without too much difficulty. But the mental side of things had made her truly miserable, and hurt her a lot more than the physical stuff.
Which is why she was still struggling to adapt to the new surroundings, and the completely different change in treatment in comparison to what she had been used to.
Raven was the strangest of them. The way she looked at her with such warmth, on a level rivaling that of Wanda. Which was saying a lot, because Wanda was the kindest person she had ever met in her entire life.
And Raven was on that same level.
Which was just weird to her. But at the same time, it made more and more sense to Amity. Cause of course Wanda would be in a relationship with someone just as kind and loving as she is. And of course the one that Milim and Naruto consider as their second mother, would be that kind.
It only made sense.
Amity hoped that this would continue. That maybe her fears of eventually being tossed out would never come to pass. That she would truly find herself a new home with the Maximoff's.
And as Amity walked through Metropolis with the trio, she couldn't help but hope that she could join the family, and become one of them.
That she could become Amity Maximoff, free from the burdens of the surname "Blight".
And as Amity thought all of this, contemplating her day and what had been occurring over the past few hours, Raven had watched her in silence. A soft smile was on the pale woman's face, knowing that she was thinking about...everything.
About her new family. About the strangeness of it all.
About what was becoming her new life.
And Raven knew, deep down, that it was only a matter of time before she too joined them, and became a Maximoff.

At the same time, Wanda was in the store, running it by her lonesome. The woman had been running it for a couple of hours now, and was enjoying a rather comfortable and quiet day. Nothing too crazy had happened just yet.
But that soon changed, as Wanda read through another book from the Boiling Isles, only to stop when she heard the doorbell ding. Looking up, she hummed when she saw some guests that she had not seen in quite some time at this point.
Team RWBY.
"Ah, I was wondering if I would ever see you four again. Took you all long enough" Wanda said with an amused hum. The silver eyed girl stared at her, and before Wanda could utter another word, Ruby blurred in front of her, and promptly wrapped her arms around her, hugging her tightly.
"Thank you thank you thank you!" She yelled, hugging Wanda as she looked down at her. Wanda chuckled, knowing this was about her saving the life of one Summer Rose. She had found her and healed her soul enough for her to function just fine. She probably needed to adapt a bit, but nothing too serious compared to what had happened to her beforehand.
"I see you got the gift I had given. I'm glad to see that you like it. Oh, and Weiss, do you believe me now?" Wanda asked, remembering that Weiss had not believed she was above the Twin Gods.
Weiss stayed silent, staring at her before slowly nodding.
"It's hard not to after seeing what you had done" Blake commented, agreeing that Wanda was not human. And she was definitely not anything they had seen before. The group had seen Summer when she had been revealed to be alive, they had seen the way she had healed at a faster pace than normal.
They had seen the way her eyes glowed brighter than they should be capable of. It was pretty clear to them that Wanda had done something to help Summer out, healing her beyond what was normally capable. Or at least making it possible for her to heal beyond what was usually possible.
"Glad to see that. It would have been rather irritating if you had kept insisting that I am not above those little Twin Gods that your people seem to worship so heavily" Wanda responded with a pleased glint in her eyes, while she had put down her book.
At the same time Ruby stepped back and joined her team's side.
"So, what can I do for you girls?" Wanda asked, looking over the group of four girls. Hearing her question, they all awkwardly glanced at one another, wondering how they should ask her the request that they had been told to ask of her.
"Well?"
"Um...well...um-" "Ozpin wishes to meet with you" Weiss cut off Ruby who was struggling to form a sentence. Wanda had made it pretty clear to them all that she didn't particularly care for Ozpin or Salem.
"Oh? Did you tell him about our meeting?" Wanda asked, her eyebrow raising.
"No! No, of course not. But um...my uncle Qrow had spied on us and overheard us. And since he works for Ozpin..." "He told him about me. Hmm, that is kind of annoying to be honest. Well, when you see him, tell him that if he wishes to speak with me, then he'll just have to come here himself. For I could care less about meeting an inconsequential little man like him" Wanda finished her sentence.
She didn't particularly care about meeting Ozpin, and wouldn't waste her time on it unless he came there as a customer. Otherwise she'd just ignore his asks and do her own thing.
And it seemed that the four had understood that, as after hearing her words, they backed off. And instead, they had opted to explore the store a bit, and maybe find some new books to read.
Watching as they moved to find some books to buy, Wanda went back to reading, one thought on her mind.
'I have a feeling Ozpin is going to be a pain in the ass'
And boy...
She had no idea.
