Chapter 593: Rewards Galore (2)

~Azure S. POV~

[Kanto Region, Pallet Town Outskirts – Sky's Airship]

Digging further into the bag, I retrieved another Poké Ball, distinctly marked with the Unova Region's emblem. I clicked the Poké Ball, summoning the Pokémon inside.

*POP*

A cry came out, "Tepig!"

A small, fire-pig Pokémon with an energetic squeal appeared. Its red snout twitched, and its eyes sparkled with curiosity as it looked around. A wisp of smoke curled from its nostrils gazing at me.

I smiled, remembering my adventures in the bustling region, "A Tepig, huh? From Unova. A classic choice."

Besides the Tepig, I found a small, crimson stone. Rotom scanned it as it informed me, "Scan complete-zzt! Emboarite detected-zzt!"

My eyes widened as I exclaimed in surprise, "And it's Mega Stone, Emboarite! Wow, Unova really went all out."

[Item: Emboarite

Rarity Item: S

Type: Held Item

Description: It is an item to be held by an Emboar. This item helps the Emboar species to Mega Evolve with the assistance of a Trainer holding the Key Stone.]

Emboar, Tepig's final evolution, was a Fire/Fighting type, known for its brute strength. A Mega Evolution would only amplify that power, turning it into a truly blazing force. The little Tepig, sensing the new stone, let out an excited cry, its tiny tail wagging like a pendulum, "Tepig! Tepig!"

I smiled, rubbing my hand on the little guy. Let's see about his info…

[Tepig the Fire Pig Pokémon. Tepig is a nimble Pokémon despite its appearance and uses its speed to both dodge and confound enemies before striking back. It can blow fire from its snout; however, instead of flames, it will spout thick, black smoke when ill.

Tepig's nose has an excellent sense of smell, allowing it to locate any food it wants. It is known to be a ravenous glutton; it loves to roast Berries before eating them, but occasionally it gets overexcited and burns them.]

|Level: 5

|Gender: Male

|Held Item: [Emboarite]

|Ability: Blaze

|Nature: Jolly

|Moves: Tail Whip, Ember, Tackle, Yawn (EM) (2 Moves left to learn)

Not bad. I can work with this.

Next from the bag was a Poké Ball from the elegant Kalos region. I clicked it open, revealing the Pokémon inside.

*POP*

The Pokémon cried out, "Froakie!"

A small, blue, frog-like Pokémon with a scarf of bubbled foam materialized. It landed in a crouch, its large, inquisitive eyes scanning its surroundings with an almost preternatural awareness.

I recognized the popular starter, "Froakie!"

But then Rotom's analysis flashed on the Arc Phone, and my casual assessment turned into pure shock chimed in, "Scan complete-zzt! Nani?!! Ability: Torrent and Battle Bond detected-zzt!"

My voice rose in disbelief, "W-wait, two abilities?! Torrent and… Battle Bond?!"

Battle Bond was a legendary ability, almost exclusively associated with specific Greninja, allowing it to transform into Ash-Greninja after knocking out an opponent. This wasn't just a Froakie; this was an extraordinary Froakie.

*Bdmp*

My heart pounded with excitement. This Froakie had the potential to become a truly unique and powerful Greninja, a ninja-like master of stealth and water, capable of reaching unparalleled heights.

This was not just a reward; it was an absolute treasure. I carefully retrieved the accompanying Mega Stone, a sleek, dark blue crystal. Rotom confirmed, "Greninjite detected-zzt!"

[Item: Greninjite

Rarity Item: S

Type: Held Item

Description: It is an item to be held by a Greninja. This item helps the Greninja species to Mega Evolve with the assistance of a Trainer holding the Key Stone.]

No way!

My grin stretched from ear to ear, "Greninjite too! Kalos, you legends!"

This Froakie was a game-changer. Oh, the ways I'll fuck Lysandre over by showing off this little guy's potential.

[Froakie the Bubble Frog Pokémon. Froakie produces a large mane of bubbles from its chest and back and has two small bubbles on its nose. The delicate yet flexible bubbles, called Frubbles, reduce the damage Froakie takes from attacks.

Despite its carefree attitude, it is vigilant of its surroundings. Froakie uses a happy-go-lucky look as an act to trick its enemies. It will suddenly drop the facade without warning and overwhelm its foes with its blinding speed. Froakie is both light and strong, making it capable of jumping incredibly high. Upon jumping high, it will throw springy bubbles at the heads of foes.]

|Held Item: [Greninjite]

|Ability: Torrent (Battle Bond)

Accepting the battle frog, I turned to the bag, reaching deeper inside. From Alola, I pulled out another Poké Ball, bringing out…

*POP*

The Pokémon cried out, "Wimpod!"

A timid, segmented bug Pokémon with large, wary eyes appeared, scurrying quickly to hide behind my leg. It was small, purple, and looked perpetually nervous. I said softly, crouching down to offer it a reassuring finger, "A Wimpod,". "Don't worry, little one. It's okay."

Wimpod were known for their flight response, but their evolution, Golisopod, was a formidable warrior. Then Rotom chimed in, finishing its scanning, "Scan complete-zzt! Golisopite detected-zzt!"

I exclaimed, surprised, "And its Mega Stone, Golisopite!"

[Item: Golisopite

Rarity Item: S

Type: Held Item

Description: It is an item to be held by a Golisopod. This item helps the Golisopod species to Mega Evolve with the assistance of a Trainer holding the Key Stone.]

This was another exciting prospect. Golisopod was a powerful Bug/Water type with a strong offensive presence. With a Mega Evolution, it would undoubtedly become a terrifying force on the battlefield, a true 'armored giant'.

I could already picture it, shedding all traces of its timid past. Smirking, I checked the info of the little guy.

[Wimpod the Turn Tail Pokémon. This Pokémon is cowardly by nature and wary of both noise and sudden movements. However, its curiosity will cause it to approach people or Pokémon that are standing still. The flailing of its many legs can cause Wimpod to leave a sparkling clean path in its wake when it moves. It will spit a poisonous liquid when threatened. Wimpod tends to gather in swarms, constantly on the lookout for anything. They scatter instantly the moment they detect an enemy's presence.

Wimpod sometimes accompanies its evolved form, Golisopod. The stench of this fluid warns others that danger is nearby. Wimpod is known to be a natural scavenger. Wimpod will eat and store anything, including garbage from the sea. This habit makes them highly valued as cleaners. When it finds coins, Murkrow and Meowth go after it.]

|Name: Wimpod (Turn Tail Pokémon)

|Type: Bug/Water

|Tera: Water

|Level: 5

|Gender: Male

|Held Item: [Golisopite]

|Ability: Wimp Out

|Nature: Adamant

|Moves: Harden, Sand Attack, Aqua Jet, Struggle Bug, Rollout, Spikes (EM) (0 Moves left to learn)

I blinked while reading this. This little guy is Adamant Nature and has a full move set that's usable, other than only 2 moves?

Man… Alola got me hooked with this. Next, a Poké Ball from the Galar region. I clicked the button, opening it up.

*POP*

A Pokémon cry came out, "Dreepy!"

A small, translucent, dragon-like Pokémon with glowing red eyes floated out, looking around with a mischievous curiosity. It had a sleek, almost ethereal design, and a faint chill seemed to emanate from its spectral body.

I exclaimed, recognizing the pseudo-legendary Pokémon, "A Dreepy! Galar sent a Dreepy! That's fantastic!"

Dreepy eventually evolved into Dragapult, a fast and powerful Dragon/Ghost type. This was a significant addition, a future heavy hitter for sure. Its playful yet slightly spooky demeanor was captivating.

I checked his status info. Let's see…

[Dreepy the Lingering Pokémon. Dreepy are reborn ghosts of a prehistoric species that once lived in ancient seas. It generally retains the same behaviors it had when it was alive, as it tends to wander the locations where it once lived, as well as biting at Clauncher as if to eat them.

Dreepy are exceptionally weak in combat, so much that on its own, a mere child could defeat it. However, it has the potential to become much stronger and evolve if it has friends to help it train. In the evening, groups of Dreepy fly at high speeds across the seas, poking at other Pokémon underwater for fun.

Dreepy can often be seen fighting alongside its evolutionary relatives Drakloak and Dragapult. The former takes care of Dreepy until it evolves, while the latter is known to launch Dreepy at Mach speeds, which the Dreepy enjoy.]

|Name: Dreepy (Lingering Pokémon)

|Type: Dragon/Ghost

|Tera: Ghost

|Level: 5

|Gender: Male

|Held Item: None

|Ability: Cursed Body (Hidden Ability)

|Nature: Naïve

|Moves: Confuse Ray, Astonish, Bite, Infestation, Quick Attack, Disable (EM) (0 Moves left to learn)

Okay, these aren't bad moves. Granted, Dreepy doesn't get any good moves early on, but I can work with this to make it work.

Finally, from the newest region, Paldea, came another Poké Ball. I pressed it, wondering what Greeta got for me…

*POP*

A Pokémon cried out, "Frigibax!"

A small, reptilian Pokémon, its body primarily white and blue, with sharp icy spikes on its back, materialized. It looked like a miniature dragon covered in frost, radiating a cool, calm presence.

I whispered, truly impressed, "Frigibax! A Paldean pseudo-legendary!"

Frigibax eventually grew into Baxcalibur, a formidable Dragon/Ice type. This was another fantastic choice, adding a powerful elemental presence to my roster. Besides that, another Mega Stone.

Rotom scanned it, reporting what I think it is in an excited tone, "Scan complete-zzt! Baxcalibrite detected-zzt!"

[Item: Baxcalibrite

Rarity Item: S

Type: Held Item

Description: It is an item to be held by a Baxcalibur. This item helps the Baxcalibur species to Mega Evolve with the assistance of a Trainer holding the Key Stone.]

I exclaimed, jumping up and down in an excited tone, very pleased with the rewards, "Baxcalibrite too! Paldea, you absolute legends!"

I held the stone, feeling its icy coldness. Mega Baxcalibur—the thought alone was enough to send shivers of anticipation down my spine. A towering ice dragon, capable of unleashing blizzards and devastating physical attacks.

I checked up on this little guy's data…

[Frigibax the Ice Fin Pokémon. Frigibax compares the sizes of their yellow quills to settle fights in the wild, with the one with the longest and most colorful quills winning. Frigibax has a triangular dorsal fin located atop a large, whitish circular pattern on its back.

This fin absorbs heat, which Frigibax converts into ice energy. Frigibax stores the ice energy inside its body and uses it to cool its dwelling. It stores more ice energy the greater its surrounding temperatures are. Frigibax lives in forests and rough terrains, and fights with Bergmite whenever they meet.]

|Name: Frigibax (Ice Fin Pokémon)

|Type: Dragon/Ice

|Tera: Ice

|Level: 5

|Gender: Male

|Held Item: [Baxcalibrite]

|Ability: Thermal Exchange

|Nature: Adamant

|Moves: Leer, Dragon Tail, Icy Wind, Tackle, Aqua Tail (EM) (1 move left to learn)

Okay, this seems satisfying. Thank you, Paldea, for the Pseudo Legendary. The rest of the bag contained more cash, from the lesser-known or smaller regions, and a general thanks for my efforts.

I set it aside with a sigh, but it was a sigh of contentedness, not exhaustion. I looked around at the growing group of new Pokémon.

The Drilbur was now playfully trying to dig a hole in the pristine lab floor, its pink drill whirring softly. The Tepig was chasing its own tail, letting out happy squeals. The Froakie was observing everything with a focused intensity, occasionally leaping onto the wall and clinging there with its sticky pads.

The Wimpod, though still a bit shy, had ventured out from behind my leg and was cautiously sniffing the air. The Dreepy floated around the other Pokémon, its red eyes glowing with curiosity, occasionally bumping playfully into Tepig. The Frigibax sat calmly, watching the chaos with its cool, dragon-like gaze.

Manaphy and Phione, having noticed the new arrivals, had splashed out of their pool and were now attempting to engage them in a game of chase, their giggles echoing through the yard. Gengar, still hanging upside down, watched the scene with an amused expression, occasionally letting out a soft "Boo-hoo-hoo" of encouragement.

Pikachu nudged my hand, nudging me out of my thoughtful stupor, "Pika-pika!"

I chuckled, shaking my head, "You're right, buddy."

It was a lot. A truly overwhelming load of rewards more than I could have ever anticipated. Each new Pokémon represented not just a new friend, but a fresh set of challenges, new strategies, and endless possibilities.

My mind was already racing, analyzing each Pokémon's potential, mapping out training regimens, considering team synergies. Sand Rush Drilbur for a sandstorm team. Iron Fist Golett for sheer power. Emboarite for a blazing offensive tank.

Battle Bond Froakie… oh, the doors that opened up. Golisopite for a tactical pivot. Dreepy and Frigibax for raw pseudo-legendary might.

I said, looking at my established partners—Pikachu, Eevee, Mew-as-Pichu, Rotom, and the silent watchers, Darkrai and Marshadow—and then at the new, vibrant additions, "Well, guys. Looks like we've got our work cut out for us. This is going to be epic."

A wave of pure, unadulterated excitement washed over me. Saving the world was one thing, but building the ultimate team, pushing the boundaries of what was possible with these incredible creatures- that was truly my passion. The future, with all its battles and friendships, had never looked so bright.

But soon it was time to grind. And then Unova wouldn't know what hit them.

Much less Team Plasma. First, I'll need to train my Unova Team I have going on, seeing the danger ahead.

It was best to be prepared.
