In early March, just after the New Year, it was the day of the Lantern Festival reunion. While the family was eating glutinous rice balls, Mu Lezhu suddenly shouted that her stomach hurt, which made Lu Jingang panic.
Mrs. Lu watched as her usually smart and composed son acted foolishly; she was utterly speechless and pushed him: "What are you standing here for? Drive Lezhu to the hospital!"
Lu Jingang came to his senses and quickly took Mu Lezhu to the hospital. Maybe it was because it was her first child, but Mu Lezhu gave birth in just over three hours after entering the delivery room. When the nurse brought out the baby and said it was a daughter, Mrs. Lu and Chairman Lu were overjoyed. They had two sons and had been longing for a daughter and granddaughter!
However, Lu Jingang's mind was entirely on Mu Lezhu. While everyone was focused on the baby, he asked, "When will my wife come out?"
"President Lu, don't worry, your wife is doing well. She'll be out soon."
