The man nodded slightly and asked out of nowhere, "How is he?"
The driver answered at once, "His vital signs have stabilized. He woke up once, only for four or five minutes, then fell back asleep."
The man said blandly, "Mm, got it."
After replying, the driver walked over and opened the car door.
Their exchange was very short, just three or four lines, but Scarlett's heart started pounding fiercely.
If she hadn't guessed wrong, that man had just asked about Matthew Saxon's condition.
Thinking that she was about to see Matthew Saxon, Scarlett just couldn't keep calm. She was visibly excited, clutching George's arm. "George, we'll be able to see him very soon. I just heard the driver say Matthew woke up once. Sounds like he's already out of danger."
George had heard the conversation between the man and the driver too.
He'd been skeptical the whole time, but now it seemed Matthew Saxon really was with this man.
