Sophie Smith quickly got dressed and opened the door to the hospital room.
"Sorry." She apologized to the Chief Doctor again and again.
"I didn't mean to say anything, just hope you can take care of Mr. Land's health, be a bit more restrained. Mr. Land is a patient." The Chief Doctor left these ambiguous words behind and went back into the ward.
Sophie Smith's face showed increasingly obvious embarrassment, the blush already spreading from her cheeks to her ears.
Asher Land's routine check-up in the morning took a lot of time, about an hour later, the Chief Doctor left with the nurses.
Sophie Smith sat in front of the hospital bed. Asher Land looked at her rosy face and couldn't help but speak up.
"Don't take what that doctor said to heart, just ignore it."
Ignore it?
"Asher Land, how dare I not listen to what the doctor says?" Sophie Smith's lips curved into a self-deprecating smile.
