Chapter 356 - Stelle plus March 7th equals?

Haxxor Bunny, who was listening to Welt explain cosmic phenomena and basic settings like the Astral Express and the Aeons, heard Stelle's blustering. She couldn't help but turn her head, only to see the gray-hair joyfully holding up a pair of golden pearl earrings.

"What is that?"

They looked like ordinary earrings, but Stelle's beaming expression and dancing excitement made Haxxor Bunny feel that the item wasn't as simple as it appeared.

"Stelle and Caelus often use Crystals to exchange for items with magical effects. Those earrings are one of them."

Pushing up his glasses, Welt felt as if he had grown more than ten years younger while facing Bronie, smiling as he patiently explained.

"Crystals? Items with magical effects?"

Haxxor Bunny rested her chin on one hand, narrowing her eyes in confusion. The latter was self-explanatory, but what were Crystals? Crystals in the literal sense?

Noticing the confusion of his newly accepted student, Old Yang wrestled with his thoughts for a few seconds. He figured this matter wouldn't be easy to explain—he didn't even know what Crystals were himself!

"After spending some time together, you'll know what Crystals are."

Welt coughed lightly twice to gloss over the topic.

Silver Wolf looked thoughtful, then quickly turned her head, focusing her attention on Stelle, March 7th, and the so-called item with magical effects.

"Eh, right now? Just test it out like this?"

The sudden invitation caught March 7th a bit off guard. She took out her phone, glanced at the time, and scratched her head with a somewhat conflicted expression, her tone slightly bashful.

"This time isn't very good, is it?"

"What's wrong with the time?" Stelle asked in confusion.

"Uh..."

March 7th choked up for a moment. It was getting a bit late, but that wasn't the main reason for her hesitation.

"The timing! The timing!"

"Think about it! When Jingliu and Sushang fused for the first time, they violently beat up a Lord Ravager, saving the Xianzhou in a time of crisis."

"According to the classic plots of traditional movies and anime, shouldn't we wait until we encounter a formidable enemy so tricky that everyone is helpless, and then use the earrings to fuse into a super warrior, saving everyone from the depths of peril?"

March 7th described it as she spoke. Reaching the exciting part, she even began to gesticulate and dance around, as if she herself had become a Sword Immortal who could shatter stars with a single slash and summon a billion swords from the sky with a wave of her hand.

"That sounds like it makes a bit of sense..."

Stelle rubbed her delicate chin with her small hand, pondering deeply for a few seconds. She nodded, as if she understood the classic trope March 7th was talking about.

"But Ah Qi shouldn't try to be a Sword Immortal."

"Why not?"

"Neither of us knows how to use a sword." Stelle spread her hands.

"Oh, right!"

March 7th blinked adorably, feeling a little disappointed. However, the open-minded girl quickly cheered up.

"Raining down a sky full of Pom-Poms using Six-Phased Ice is also very spectacular, you know!"

"Alright then. We'll try it next time we encounter an enemy. This time, I'll test it out with Bronya first."

Stelle said this and turned to walk towards the silver-gray curly-haired beauty.

"Wait! Wait! Wait!"

March 7th suddenly cried out, hastily extending her hand in a dramatic gesture to hold her back.

"I suddenly feel..."

The girl's tone and expression perfectly encapsulated the word 'struggle'. Her rationality, which wanted to pursue the classic trope of a grand entrance, was ultimately pierced through by the Trailblaze spirit of wanting to experience a novel item.

"It's good to get familiar with the fusion state in advance. That way, it will be smoother when we actually need to fight next time."

Stelle was slightly surprised that Ah Qi could actually come up with such a reason. Her small face turned entirely serious.

"It's fine, Ah Qi. You absolutely shouldn't force yourself."

Even Haxxor Bunny could tell that this gray-hair was playing dumb, giving her the perfect excuse to step down while harboring ulterior motives.

"I'm not forcing myself, not at all!"

March 7th shook her head like a rattle-drum, her cherry-blossom-colored hair dancing along.

She wanted to play! She really wanted to play with fusion!

"Then... here you go."

The corners of Stelle's mouth curled up by two pixels before quickly dropping back down. She handed one earring to March 7th and put the other one on her own soft, cardamom-pink earlobe.

Inexplicably a little nervous, March 7th, full of excitement and anticipation, only felt her heartbeat speed up a bit faster than normal. She quickly put on the earring.

However, nothing happened, leaving Haxxor Bunny's forehead covered in question marks.

They so cautiously put on the so-called magical item, and in the end, nothing happened? So what was the use of the earrings anyway?

"Caelus-cub, what's going on?"

"Caelus, are the earrings broken?"

Stelle and March 7th simultaneously turned their heads to look at Caelus, who was watching them with ample leisure.

"No, sisters, I told you already. The two of you have to wear the earrings on opposite ears." Caelus's face scrunched up.

"We did put them on different ears."

Stelle rested her middle finger against the first joint of her thumb and flicked the earring, suspecting that something had gone wrong with it.

"Yeah, yeah, isn't there one on each side?"

March 7th's large pastel-blue eyes blinked and flashed at Caelus as she pointed to her own left ear, and then to Stelle's right ear.

Yet she suddenly realized that the soon-to-join Nameless reservist, Haxxor Bunny, was looking at her, a senior, with the gaze one would use for a fool. Even the well-behaved 'White' Seele had a bizarre expression on her face, softly whispering a reminder.

"Umm, Sister March, Sister Stelle, the two of you are mirrored when you're facing each other."

"Hiss~ Hiss~"

Caelus drew in a long, sharp breath of cold air.

How was this any different from two electric bikes approaching each other head-on on a narrow path, where one person yells 'You go left, I go right', and they ultimately crash into each other disastrously?

Following 'White' Seele's reminder, Stelle also realized how ridiculous her statement was.

"Oh, true, hehe."

The Stellaron spirit scratched the back of her head, smiling with an innocent and endearingly naive expression.

March 7th's pretty face also flushed slightly red. The two coincidentally took off their earrings and put them on their other ears. Looking at each other, perfectly fine and unaffected, they felt a bit dazed, staring at one another with wide eyes.

The atmosphere abruptly fell silent, the silence rippling outward to encompass the entire room.

Haxxor Bunny's expression immediately morphed into the 'Subway, Old Man, Phone' meme.

Caelus smiled, sighed silently, and found it absolutely brilliant.

He was now highly suspicious of the IQ of the entity that would result from Stelle and March 7th's fusion.

March 7th and Stelle promptly stood side by side, like kindergarten babies called to the podium by their teacher, getting ready to perform a talent show for everyone.

The two seriously confirmed left and right before putting the earrings on.

"This time it should definitely... Ah!"

She let out a cry before she could even finish her sentence. March 7th felt a powerful suction force coming from Stelle's body.

The two were drawn and stuck together like the North and South poles of a magnet. A white light, imbued with ice blue and flowing gold, bloomed outward.

"Although it isn't my first time witnessing this, it's incredibly magical no matter how you look at it."

Welt sighed emotionally as he fixed his steady gaze on the brilliance, examining it closely.

"Wow~!"

Her slender and delicate eyebrows raised. The speechlessness on Haxxor Bunny's face, brought about by the two's brain-dead operations, was instantly replaced by shock and amazement.

"Two people actually fused together?"

Was this the effect of those earrings? It really was magical... This is so interesting!

Such a bizarre and outlandish thing was completely unheard of and unseen by Haxxor Bunny!

Miss Haxxor Bunny once again felt fortunate that she had been 'summoned' by Bronie to this wonderful and exciting world.

She also silently made up her mind that she had to quickly learn ability applications from Mr. Welt, so she could help her other self as much as possible.

Faintly sensing Haxxor Bunny's mental activities, Caelus gave her a glance, the corners of his mouth curling up slightly.

After his brief gaze at Haxxor Bunny, and waiting for the light to dissipate, Caelus cast his sight toward the figure that had manifested.

Long hair that faded from light pink into a grayish dark red perfectly blended the softness of gray with the vitality of pink. It was understated yet exuded a premium feel.

Her height was somewhere between March 7th and Stelle's. Her pure, pretty face was cold and glamorous like ice—provided she didn't speak—and her eyes had actually transformed to hold the luster of ice jade.

"S-So pretty!"

'White' Seele couldn't help but let out an admiring murmur.

Is the color that comes from mixing pastel blue and gold green?

Knowledge flowed into Caelus's mind in an unexpected way.

That being said, eye color and hair color were one thing, but what principle dictated how their clothes fused?

Caelus sized the girl up with keen interest.

Before fusing, March 7th had been wearing her classic fairy-tale-girl style outfit, while Stelle's attire leaned toward an everyday casual style with her hooded teal-black jacket and short pleated skirt.

After the fusion, her outfit seemed to lean more toward March 7th's style. On the inside was a stand-collar inner lining akin to a backless sweater, while the outside was a blue, white, and black women's jacket.

Star sand was hidden within the stacked folds of her skirt's hem, and frost flower embroidery bloomed at her lapels. A waist-cinching silk purple sash gathered her curves into a breathtaking, soul-stirring arc.

And then there was the iconic leg ring that absolutely could not be absent. The solid black leather leg ring was embellished with frost and snowflakes.

"So this is what fusion feels like? This really isn't bad at all!"

She inherently carried a noble and aloof temperament, as if the light and shadows of the entire space were willing to be reduced to the girl's foil. However, the moment she spoke, that illusion shattered, becoming radiant with vitality and endearingly silly.

Saying this, the bouncing girl picked up Stelle's phone, her slender fingers swiping rapidly.

"What are you doing?"

Caelus curiously used a finger to poke the girl's fair and tender cheek, which felt as soft and bouncy as jelly pudding.

His shared physical sensation mechanism with Stelle was still present. Not only had it not weakened, but that connection derived from the foundational rules of the physical world had even grown several degrees stronger.

Strong to the point where it was indistinguishable from his other female bodies!

"Ordering takeout."

The girl answered matter-of-factly, before seemingly suddenly thinking of something. "Oh right, I need to come up with a name for myself."

"Since it's a fusion of March 7th and Stelle, should I be called March Stelle? Or Stelle March Seven? I feel like both sound great! Lord Caelus is so awesome!"

Saying this, the girl placed her hands on her hips, proudly holding her head high and puffing out her chest.

"Caelus-cub, what do you think?"

Caelus thought for a moment before giving his answer. "Let's go with March Stelle, it rolls off the tongue easier."

"Didn't we already eat dinner earlier? Was there someone between March and Stelle who didn't eat their fill?"

Caelus asked curiously.

"No, they both ate very fully. Stelle was so stuffed she couldn't eat another bite, but my stomach still has room!"

March Stelle lifted her inner lining toward Caelus, revealing an immaculately curved lower abdomen, and patted it.

"There's so much delicious food on the Xianzhou. Little March has to restrict her portion sizes every time she eats because she has to pay attention to maintaining her figure, but I'm different."

"Anyway, the fusion will end in an hour. I can eat however much I want, and I won't get fat no matter how much I eat!"

March Stelle craned her slender, white swan-like neck slightly. The motion of her pink tongue lightly moistening her red lips carried both the elegant reserve of a cat before a meal and the slyness of a girl whose prank had succeeded.

"As expected of you guys, Hachi-Stelle and Hachi-Seven. The first thing you think of after fusing is actually eating?"

Caelus clicked his tongue and shook his head in emotional realization.
