Chapter 246 - Before the Seal Breaks

A sleek black SUV stood parked in silence beneath the shade of ancient trees, just outside the temple's restricted zone. Surrounded by heavy security and buzzing energy, it looked like any other official vehicle. But what sat inside it… was not ordinary.

Inside, Mirshad and Rayyan sat still. No one knew. No one could guess.

The engine was off. The air carried a pressure beyond the physical. Mirshad sat silent, eyes fixed beyond the windshield, gazing at the mist-veiled ancient temple. A place untouched for over a thousand years. A place about to speak again.

Rayyan broke the silence.

"You think they'll really open it today?"

Mirshad didn't answer. He blinked slowly. Then reached for his phone.

He dialed. The Minister answered instantly, his voice trembling.

"Sir! I apologize for disturbing your morning—"

"No need to apologize. I'm already here. If you need me… call. But don't inform anyone about my presence."

The line went silent.

"Y-Yes sir. Understood."

"Proceed as planned. I'll be watching."

He ended the call.

Moments later, a high-ranking officer approached the SUV with silent reverence. He bowed slightly and placed a tray near the window.

"Sir… your morning breakfast and tea. You'll need your strength today."

Mirshad gave a single nod.

Rayyan handed him the cup. "You ever wonder why doors stay closed this long?"

Mirshad sipped the tea. "Because even time fears what's behind them."

By 8:00 AM, every channel in the nation went live. The sacred temple was the center of the world. Drones hovered. Cameras zoomed. Media vans flooded the surrounding roads.

"This is a moment that hasn't happened in over a thousand years."

"The sealed chamber of the ancient temple is being prepared for opening."

"The country watches with bated breath."

Crowds swelled. Police and military held back the growing masses. Reporters whispered. Questions filled the air.

"Who is protecting this event?"

"Why now? Why today?"

But no one — not a single soul — realized the protector had already arrived. Quiet. Hidden. Watching.

The Minister took his place at the podium, surrounded by temple authorities and historians. The press fell into stillness.

"This temple chamber has remained sealed for over a millennium. Not due to construction or preservation — but because it was never meant to be opened by ordinary means."

"However, recent findings changed everything."

He lifted a worn parchment from a silver case.

"We discovered a scroll beneath the inner sanctum. It reads:

'When the world begins to stir, and silence breaks,

Open the sealed breath of the past.

A protector will already be there.

Do not question his identity.

He will not come as god, but as man.'"

A tremor passed through the crowd. The word "Protector" echoed from camera to camera.

Then they arrived.

Twenty men. Barefoot. Robed. Inked with divine geometry. Their eyes closed. Their lips sealed.

They were not monks. Not priests. They were Mandra Holders — guardians of mantras older than memory. They stepped into a circle around the sealed chamber. Powders laid. Symbols drawn. Candles lit.

The ground whispered beneath them.

And then — the chants began.

Not loud.

But deep.

Ancient.

The kind of sound that makes bones remember lives they never lived.

The lead Mandra Holder opened his eyes mid-chant… and turned. His gaze cut through the distance.

He looked directly at the SUV.

No one noticed.

But Mirshad did.

Their eyes met — across air, across silence.

The man's voice echoed into the microphones.

"The protector… is already here."

Rayyan blinked.

Mirshad simply sipped his tea.

"He knows."

The chants grew louder. The wind began to turn.

And as the world held its breath…

Mirshad remained a shadow in the silence.

Watching.

Waiting.

Ready.

For whatever would rise when the seal breaks.
