"Hmm, so even non-humans can transmigrate? Though I guess that does make sense. When I arrived here, there were monsters that came with me too."
Bulma looked at the squirrel's corpse in front of her. The squirrel was wearing some human clothes, but the way it had died was very... hard to describe.
It hadn't been run over by a car or anything like that. Instead, it looked like someone had simply beaten it to death with something like a frying pan or something similar.
"Looks like it didn't have a very pleasant experience."
Bulma shrugged, then put on a pair of gloves. Feeling somewhat sad, she took the squirrel out of the trash can, took some nuts from her pocket, and buried the squirrel beneath a pine tree.
She really was a little sad. After all, if Athena hadn't helped her back then, even she didn't know what kind of situation she might have ended up in, or whether she might have died somewhere just like this squirrel.
And even if she hadn't died somewhere, she probably would have spent her days working odd jobs just to get by.
Although she wouldn't necessarily mind living like that, but if there was a chance for a better life, no one would willingly choose to live a life of hardship.
Because of that, she couldn't help but sigh.
"The others aren't all going to be like this too, are they?"
Looking at the squirrel in the grave, she voiced her thoughts. But just as she stood up, a burst of golden light floated out of the grave and drifted toward her, transforming into a golden fragment.
"This is..."
Bulma looked at the golden fragment and instinctively grabbed it, then froze for a moment.
The fragment instantly conveyed to her the reason she had been transported to this world, as well as the circumstances surrounding her current situation.
But what made Bulma furious was...
"You bastard! At least tell me how I'm supposed to get back!"
Having received absolutely no information from the fragment about how to return to her own world, Bulma angrily tried to throw the golden fragment onto the ground. However, the golden fragment entered her body instead, causing her hand to grasp at empty air. She threw nothing at all and instead stumbled, nearly falling to the ground.
"Uh, what's wrong, Bulma?"
Athena, standing beside her, asked curiously, not understanding why Bulma had suddenly become so angry.
"I transmigrated because a world was trying to save itself, but while it was pulling us over, it got crushed between two worlds! So we ended up being scattered all over the place with no destination at all! But that bastard didn't tell us how we're supposed to get back!"
Bulma glared fiercely at her palm. If she hadn't known that the world fragment wasn't lodged inside her hand but had instead entered her body, she would've been willing to cut off her own hand just to make sure that bastard didn't get what it wanted!
Unfortunately, for now, she could only let the damned thing remain inside her body!
"So, does that mean the others are in the same situation too? You really can't return to your own world?"
Athena looked at Bulma sympathetically. Although she really liked Bulma's personality and treasured this rare friend of hers, she would still be happy for her if Bulma could return home.
"Yes. We can only rely on ourselves now. But if I could get enough of this so-called 'World Power' to study, then I might be able to figure something out. The problem is, I have absolutely no idea how to use this stuff!"
After saying that, Bulma looked at the radar in her hand, only to discover that the squirrel's dot had disappeared, leaving only her own dot behind.
Frowning, she checked all the readings for her own dot, but found that nothing had changed. Even the transmigrator reaction showed no change whatsoever.
"Could it be that the transmigrator reaction I'm detecting isn't the World Power itself, but rather some kind of wavelength produced by the World Power existing inside a person's body?"
Bulma fell into thought. She believed that since she could observe the difference, then there had to be some way to interfere with it. She simply didn't know how to do so yet.
"You really are amazing, Bulma..."
Athena couldn't help but praise her. She couldn't understand anything about things like World Power, yet Bulma was actually able to research it.
"Ah, it's not like I have a choice but to research it, right?"
The corner of Bulma's mouth twitched. If possible, she wouldn't want to research something that sounded this troublesome. Although she couldn't help being interested in studying it, being forced to do so and being interested in it were two completely different things.
"But for now, I still need to find the others... And as for the World Martial Arts Tournament..."
Recalling the highly publicized news she had seen on TV, if she remembered correctly, her own world also had a World Martial Arts Tournament. If someone else had transmigrated here from her world just like her, then could it possibly be...?
But immediately afterward, Bulma shook her head.
Even the most brilliant genius couldn't possibly accumulate such enormous financial resources in such a short amount of time.
Organizing a tournament on a global scale was one thing, but unlike her own world, which had a unified global government, this world was divided into many separate countries. Just thinking about all the diplomatic issues involved made her head hurt.
There was simply no way these things could have been arranged in such a short amount of time.
But...
"What if we were transmigrated here at different points in time?"
Bulma couldn't help but fall into deep thought as she kept recalling the times when those 'meteors' had arrived.
Even time itself could become distorted and affected under the influence of the speed of light. So, what about the space between worlds?
The distance between one world and another couldn't simply be calculated using the speed of light, so there must also be a difference in time between worlds. And if that was the case...
Bulma looked at the radar in her hand and made her decision.
"Athena, if I remember correctly, you're going there this time because you plan to participate in the World Martial Arts Tournament, right?"
