Hazuki, Izumi, and Akane watched as the two boys sparred with each other in the middle of the night.
It had been a couple of hours now, and they were still fighting, using only their Taijutsu, and though it was emotional and fun at first with Sasuke trying to beat Enma up, now they were just tired of watching them... train...
"Enough." Hazuki finally stood up and called an end to their spar, and sighed in relief when the two grinned at each other.
They all knew by now that they two considered each other brothers, and if there was anyone in the world whom Sasuke would not even blame for taking his life, it was Enma.
She smiled when the Uzumaki stepped forward, hugged the Uchiha and apologised to him again.
And he did the same when he approached Akane, gave her a hug, and grabbed his earlobes as he said sorry to her, which elicited a smile from her.
"You won't do it again, right?" She asked.
"Why would I do it again?" He tilted his head, and she nodded and sighed.
"Even though I am upset that you made me go through something so horrible, I am glad it was all just an illusion and that I have now awakened these eyes. So, thank you."
"You are welcome." He grinned, and she instantly rushed forward and punched him hard in his abdomen, which he did not dodge.
"Now we are even." She said and took in a deep breath.
"Fine..." he winced as he straightened his back and then helplessly chuckled.
"What?" She glared at him.
"I am just glad it worked. I don't know what you two would have done to me if it hadn't worked..."
"I don't want to think about it, so let's stop talking about it."
"Sorry, sorry..." he held his hands up and smiled at Izumi, "So, would you like to have even stronger eyes now?" He playfully asked, she frowned. "Akaisen is on a break, and I am sure it's better to get it done now."
"Why are you so hasty?" The older of the two sisters glared at him, and he sighed.
"I am just excited about the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan and want to see how much more power it gives you."
"We don't gain any new abilities. I think I told you that."
"But your existing abilities become much stronger." He pointed it out, and she sighed. "And who told you that you don't gain new abilities?" He asked, ahd she frowned
"What are you even talking about?" Sasuke frowned as well when he walked over, and even Akane seemed confused.
Hazuki sighed and then asked them to come back inside. She sat the two down and explained to them what Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan was and how it could theoretically be attained, and Akane quickly forgave Enma for what he did when she learned that she could help her sister become even stronger now.
"Let's do it!" She happily said, and sensing how excited she was, they all smiled.
Sasuke, on the other hand, soon lost himself to his thoughts.
When Hazuki looked at the boy, she furrowed her brows, sighing in her heart.
"Sasuke."
"Yes?"
"Don't think about it, please."
He remained silent at her words for a few seconds, taken aback, but then clenched his fists.
"I will kill him and I will take those eyes as they belong to the Uchiha Clan. A Blood Traitor does not deserve the powers that our blood grants him..."
His cold words tensed them all up, but Enma instantly changed the atmosphere.
"Yes, yes, now let's see what the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan looks like." He impatiently said, and the Uchiha Matriarch's brow twitched at his words.
"Enma?"
"Yes, Hazuki-san?"
"You are annoying."
He froze at her words and sighed.
"My apologies." He bowed to her, and she really did not know what to say or do to him.
"Are you going to implant the eyes?" She gently asked.
"Yes. They will be fine, and I will heal them immediately after the exchange."
"Fine. Come with me." She said and stood up, and Sasuke and Akane quickly followed after her.
Izumi grabbed Enma's hand and leaned close to his ear.
"Why are you rushing it?" She asked, not believing the excuse he had given earlier.
He sighed at her question and leaned close to her left ear.
"Because I want to make sure it works."
"What does that mean?" She raised her brow and watched him smile as he pulled her out of the room with him.
When they entered the meditation room, Hazuki saw him holding her daughter's hand, who was not in the least bothered by it and smiled in her heart.
"Is there anything you need?" She asked him, but he shook his head and let go of Izumi's hand.
Soon, the two sisters were lying on top of two elevated stone benches next to each other, and Enma was standing between them.
"It won't hurt. I promise. So, don't close your eyes." He said as the two white Chakra Chains escaped his back and each of them impaled the chests of the two girls and then started blinking.
Their bodies instantly froze, sending them into a deep sleep, but also forcing their eyes to widen.
The Uzumaki then stepped closer to Akane and placed his glowing green palms on her opened eyes.
Sasuke looked away when he saw his beloved's empty eye sockets when Enma removed his hands and watched as the two eyes floated around, enclosed inside a sphere of green light.
Izumi's eyes were removed in the same manner, and then they watched as the Uzumaki replaced them with Akane's eyes, and put Izumi's eyes in her younger sister's eye sockets.
He placed his glowing left hand on Akane's eyes next, and the right on her sister's eyes after closing their eyelids, and a minute later, he retracted them.
The Chains kept blinking as they started leaving their bodies, and as soon as they were removed, both the girls gasped for breath and shot up. They opened their eyes and furrowed their brows, just feeling a little breathless and nothing else.
"What just happened?" The younger one asked and raised her brow when she saw Enma grinning.
"Done."
"What? So fast?" She looked at him in disbelief, but when she activated her Sharingan and then Mangekyo, her eyes suddenly burned and even bled.
The same happened with Izumi, which tensed up Sasuke, but Hazuki remained calm.
Several seconds later, both opened their eyes, and the three witnessed their Mangekyo Patterns morphing with each other.
In Izumi's case, her irises turned black with three red rings. Inside the inner-most ring was a red pentagram, whose ends stretched to its boundaries. There was also a black hole in the middle of the pentagram, serving as a pupil. In each arm of the pentagram, there was a black triangle, making it look like a flower, and her eyes were constantly revolving before they came to a stop.
As for Akane, her pentagram was black, stretching to the boundaries of the red iris, and two rings were going through its arms, like threads sewn into it. There was a third ring in the middle of the pentagram, a red one, with a black pupil at the centre. Instead of triangles inside the arms, there was a single red line of even size inside each arm.
Hazuki was stunned when she saw that it actually worked, and Sasuke was just lost in Akane's eyes, lost in their beauty.
"Pretty." Enma, who had his blindfold sliding off his right eye, commented when he saw Izumi's Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan and the girl smiled at him before she stood up and hugged her sister.
The two girls looked into each other's eyes, mesmerised by them, and then brightly grinned.
Hazuki quickly walked over and hugged them both, and Enma sat down on the bench as he let them have their moment.
He smiled when Izumi hugged him and whispered thank you in his ear, and then he jumped off the bench and yawned.
"Alright. Good night. I need to get some sleep." He said and patted Sasuke's shoulder on the way out. "Sweet dreams..."
"Don't you ever say that to me again." The Uchiha coldly said, and the Uzumaki laughed as he walked out and returned to his compound.
Enma was about to enter his room when he felt a hand on his shoulder, and the next instant, he was inside the Hall of Sealings.
"You have been quite busy," Kushina whispered near his ear and then planted a kiss on his neck before she took off his blindfold and walked over to sit down on the Altar in the centre of the Hall. "Now, tell me why you have Kokuo inside of you."
His heart thumped hard against his chest, and he wryly smiled.
"Is there a problem?" He lightly asked as he opened his eyes, and she shook her head and smiled back at him.
"Just curious about your reasoning."
"It's to protect her from Akatsuki. If they, somehow, manage to get their hands on more Tailed Beasts, Kokuo will stay hidden from their eyes. It might help us ascertain what their goal is."
"Once they can't find her, they will doubt that you took her. You will become their target."
"I will never reveal her, and it's fine if I become their target. That is even better." He smiled.
"Do not underestimate anyone, Enma." She sighed and beckoned him to come closer.
When he arrived in front of her, she pulled him by his collar and kissed him, which be reciprocated, having long fallen in love with her taste.
She pressed her forehead against his when their lips separated, and gently cupped his cheeks.
"Overconfidence is death."
"I know." He lightly said. "I will be fine."
"I hope so." She smiled and then kissed him again.
Kushina grinned when he placed his hands on her sides and stroked them, and then she playfully pushed him away.
The next instant, her consciousness was inside his Mindscape, and she stared at the beautiful white Tailed Beast who was sleeping inside the large temple, not bothered by anything.
She was not the only one who could see the scene. Kurama, through her eyes, stared at his sister as well.
Kukuo sensed her presence and slowly opened her eyes, and seeing Kushina there, and the strange eyes, she became very curious.
"Hi! I am Uzumaki Kushina!" She brightly said, and the Five Tails raised her head, towering over her, and kept looking into he eyes.
"You are Enma's sister..."
"Aunt," she informed them Beast. "And his spouse."
Kukuo seemed confused about something, but then she saw the vortex eyes revolve, and her consciousness was now inside a new place.
She was stunned when she saw Kurama standing tall behind her, towering over her, and grinning.
"Yo, Kokuo."
"Kurama? What? How? You were somewhere in the northeast..."
The Nine-Tailed Fox heartily laughed, and then kept grinning as his sister observed him.
"You... how are you even stronger? Your Chakra... It's beyond its limits..."
Kushina smiled as she left the two siblings to chat with each other, returning to Mindscape, where Kukuo's husk was once again sleeping.
"Where is she?" Enma, who was right by her side, asked, furrowing his brows.
"I stole her away to chat with her. She will be fine. Don't worry."
She said and then lazily stretched her arms beofre disappearing.
"That's rude. You are not allowed to take her away without my permission." Enma narrowed his eyes at her.
"You should have then bound her to you with a Seal." She shrugged and then giggled when she saw his brows furrowing. "Let me keep her. Please?"
Enma kept looking into her eyes, and then nodded his head.
"Fine."
"Thank you." She said and pulled him to her to plant a kiss on his forehead. "Go, get some rest."
He nudged his nose against hers and stole a peck from her lips before picking up his blindfold and leaving the Hall.
"Sweet dreams..."
"Don't try that on me. It won't work." She grinned, and he chuckled and waved his hand at her.
