So, as the dawn was breaking, Lin Beichen woke up. But Aixius had slept late last night and was awakened by gunshots halfway through; even though she sensed Lin Beichen getting up, her eyelids felt glued shut and just wouldn't open.
Seeing this, Lin Beichen felt a bit troubled. Not to mention he wasn't familiar with the road to Wood Stone Town, even if he knew, he couldn't possibly leave Aixius alone here.
"Got it."
Suddenly, Lin Beichen had a flash of enlightenment and then walked over to Aixius, softly saying, "I'm going out to take care of something, I'll be back soon, you rest well."
"No, I want to...get up." Aixius struggled to stand even though her eyes remained closed.
Lin Beichen quickly supported her, gently comforting, "Don't worry, I'm not leaving, just handling a small matter and I'll be back."
