An explosion sent flying a car and pieces of concrete ruble. One of JayJay's gunners made a dive-jump into a cover at the last second. Just in time for another explosion to tear down a brick wall, burrying anyone who was behind it. But thankfully, Blaze managed to climb out.
Sound of auto-cannon were sending shockwaves through the air, as it shreaded through metal and stone cover alike. The symphony of terror were accompanied by sounds of gunshots not so far. As robots, soldiers and mercenaries clashed together among the ruins of an 'what used to be an town hall' and now turned into a maze of stone and smoke.
Main cause of destruction was a heavy IFV with turret. Each shot made a holes in everything that wasnt a solid ground under the feet, and even then, it was making noticeable dents in a ground.
JayJay - Zubrin, Anekin, anyone! What's your status?
Some comfortable distance away. JayJay kept watching on a monitor of his terminal. This whole mess were slowly drowning in a fog of war. This fog, unlike any other, was thick and getting thicker.
Anekin (audio) - Anekin here! Taking fire on my side here! Can't do much. The target is just pushing throu... *static and gun fire* ... ke and can't keep up wi... *static and explosion* ...ay here...*static*
JayJay - Anekin! Anekin! Damn it! If you can hear me, retreat to a next line!
Despite the fierce action, most of the result were just and plain 'break through'. The forces of 'The Legion' were just pushing their way through. They didn't had any real reason to stay here more than they had to. On the other hand, JayJay's team were taking losses just tryin to slow them down.
Then a sudden chain of explosion appeared in a middle of a streets. And that wasn't usual explosions, clouds of smoke suddenly appeared and covered everything in smoke. Within just a few moments, the battle became neare impossible to keep up. Tho shooting didn't stopped, but bullets started flying everywhere, and it didn't looked like his team were doing any kind of good in there.
JayJay - Everyone! Fall back! I repeat! Fall back! Retreat to a line two. Wagner and Samovolov, get ready for guests! Wait for my command before starting shooting... Zubrin, what's your status?
Zubrin (audio) - We are in a tight here. It's gonna *Static*
Just as the signal dissapeared, another explosion roared through the area. From the depths of a dark smoke, a fire reached it's tongues up, as if trying to reach the sky, only to stop after a ten or so meters and spread out to form a mushroom cloud, before finaly falling back down and mixing back again with a dark fog. JayJay only sighed.
JayJay - Farewell... See you in hell, my friend...
For just a brief moment, JayJay had a slight hint of sorrow on his face. But just for a moment, then he sighed and pressed a button on his terminal once again.
JayJay - Everyone! Fall back to the second line! Don't be reckless, we were prepared for this!
Anekin (audio) - We are kinda stuck here! Four o.. *static* ..ole thing will collapse on our heads! I repe.. *static* .. uck here! Four of my man are injured and this whole building is about t.. *static* ..my team will take a long route to move out.
JayJay - What route are you even taking? | Anekin (audio) - The one with a Blaze around!
JayJay - Just leave that doll behind and charge out for a second line!
Anekin (audio) - Don't think we will be... *static*
Yet again a fire erupted out from the smoke and into the air above the battlefield. This one was a bit smaller, but a whole five story building started leaning and then collapsed into the depths of a dark smoke. JayJay tensed up a little and released a long sigh.
Anekin (audio) - That would teach them some manners! Who did that?
JayJay - Anekin! That was in your area? What happened?
Anekin (audio) - A whole wall was blownup. The entire street is filled with rubble... Should be safe to go... *Static* ..nd we will be back at second line in a minute.
JayJay -Finaly, some piece of a good news.
Blaze (audio) - I don't like to say that, but this is going to be the last miracle you will have for today! It took me a whole backpack with explosives, that I had with me, to do that, so the rest is on you!
JayJay - Oh, good. That doll is still active and can fight? Then do your best to help out Anekin's team at their retreat, doll. Else there won't be a reason to keep you around!
Blaze (audio) - Sure thing.

Once he recieved the news, JayJay swithced tabs on a terminal and a map of these twice hell bent ruins appeared in front of him. The same map that Darryl had a pleasure of looking at this whole time. His hands were shaking, but mind focused. He was surrounded

Alpha (audio) - Center! This is Alpha! They blew up an entire building and it fell right on a main street. We are cut off from the Delta and can't reach the VIP.
Darryl - Is there anything was lost to that explosion?
Officer Niko (Alpha | audio) - Thankfully, just a few scout robots and nothing more.
While Darryl was stuck inside a car that was slowly tailing the IFV. Just to confirm situation, he peeked outside through a window. The whole road that they were about to take, was now blocked off by an entire building.
Legion Officer Arnold - Orders?
Lowering his gaze back onto a terminal, Darryl started looking through his map trying to find most optimal way. Driwe through streets to the right? They are going to take a huge detour and lose to much time to. Going back? Not an option. They are most likely are being persued. The risk-reward sense chimed in. It will be slightly more rough than he ever though it would be. After giving out a nervious sigh, Darryl pressed another button on his terminal, getting in contact with IFV.
Darryl - Turtle! I need you to ram the wall of a theatre in front of us.
Turtle - Ram the wall?Darryl - Yes! Do it!Turtle - Rodger that! Full speed ahead!
Armored transport in front of Darryl's car stopped for a moment, turned it's turred backwards that it was facing Darryl, turret retracted inside the transport and then IFV accelerated right into a brick walls in front of them. The bricks flyed everywhere and the hole turned out something more then just theatre. As the IFV bursted through a wall, an rusty car were squished under a weight of a heavy armored transport.
To everyone's surprise, this was more than just a right call. IFV made a way through a parking lot. The same where one of ambusher's teams were taking a hold. Few goliaths, Aegis units and entire team of bandits.
Taken by surprise, bandits turned their guns at IFV and started shooting and retreating through a street while IFV were advancing onto them. After a few shots of a heated ten seconds, IFV managed to get out their turret out one of the bandits pulled out an rocket launcher and pulled the trigger. Rocked flew into a IFV and hit the armor at a right angle. Whole IFV went up in flames pouring smoke and everywhere. But as a smke dissapated, IFV were still standing, it's armor plates were shreded into pieces, but turret still active.
Bandints were rushing to cover, robots took offencive positions and started an attack. Auto-cannon started moving again and shooting. In matter of seconds robots were torn to shreads, one of goliaths managed to come way to close fore comfor, but ultimatly, they all was delt with, one of bandits jumped up with a grenade in one hand and safety pin in the other. Autocanon made a bloody gore mess out of him in a second, but not before grenade went flying and landed just under IFV. Explosion made IFV jump up a little, and then burst into flames, as ammo exploded inside IFV.
Unfortunately for Darryl, all of this happened so fast, that the other team wasn't even able to go through that hole before this little fight came to an end. Darryl kept looking at camera feed through his terminal with conflicted look.
Darryl - Ah, damn... *sigh* Everyone! We have our way out! Just move and push through. Alpha, move as planned and take a detour if needed! Meet you at the Rook point!
Officer Niko (Alpha | audio) - Roger that Center! Alpha is moving out to Rook point.
Darryl - Delta! What's your status?
Delta (audio) - Center! This is Delta! We are taking heavy fire, at the mall! At least we have some ground advantage over here. But we are stuck over here, main street is blocked.
Hearing the news, Darryl wasn't pleased nor surprised. That's when Arnold leaned closer.
Legion Officer Arnold - I can take my team and head out to help out Delta. Once we will be out, we will swipe through a west side and will meet you somewhere on a way to Warsaw.
Darryl - Okay... Sound's like a plan. Get your team ready to move out.
Slight nod, Arnold putted on a gasmask and stepped out of the car. Darryl hesitated for a moment, before once again pressed on a button 'press and hold' on his terminal.
Darryl - Hang in there Delta! Help is on the way.
Delta (audio) - Roger that Center! We will hold for as long as we can!
Darryl - Alright team! Time to get out of here! Move, Move, Move!
Soldiers, robots and cars started quickly, but carefuly moving through a breached wall. While passing by, everyone payed their silent respect to an IFV crew that has died and were still burning in that iron coffin.

All while everyone were passing by without any attention to a mutilated body of a bandit behind a rusty car. Then only one who cared for now was calling the name on the other side of a ruins.

JayJay - Samovolov! Wagner! I need you to respond. Samovolov! Wagner! What happened?
Wagner (audio) - Wagner here! The enemies managed to break through a Samovolov's position! I repeat! Multiple enemies groups a ..*static*.. gh Samavolov's positions! Our second line is breached.
JayJay - Damn it! What's your status?
Wagner (audio) - Second line ambush failed! Enemies are advancing and we can't hold them off!
JayJay - Fall back! Retreat and regroup! Don't rush at them! Just keep them of and retreat!
Wagner (audio) - Will do our best! Wagned out!
Video feed from a drone were getting really disturbing. Burts of flame and flashes here and there. Somewhere out there, in this vile smoke, his target is escaping.
Anekin (audio) - Jay! We got few of them pinned down! | JayJay - What?
Sudden callout from his terminal made JayJay snap out.
Anekin (audio) - We were on our way back to a second line, but we were attacked. Thankfully, they didn't expected numbers to be so high up! So we managed to counterattack and force them to get inside the mall. We got this place surrouned, but we can't really drive them out of there!
Blaze (audio) - I told you we can use some old fashioned Molotov's cocktail! Just give me some of that gas and i'l make a party for everyone to enjoy! And a snaks are already waiting for some grill!
Anekin (audio) - Shut up doll! We don't have too much gas for your stupid ideas!
JayJay - Just try to push and exhaust them. Slowly! No need to rush! Their main forced are probably making a run for it with a cargo and leaving them behind.
Anekin (audio) - They what?
JayJay - Their main forces just breached second line and heading out of the area!
Anekin (audio) - Well then... We got all the fun in a world here then!
Blaze (audio) - I don't think it's all that simple...
Anekin (audio) - Who cares? They are all alone over here. I'l return with a good news! Anekin out!
A communication tablet glitched a little as Anekin changed a channel from one to another. Then he looked at his crew with a smile that was hidden behind his gasmask.
Anekin - Good news boys! We got ourselves a playthings! Nobody is going back for them.
Anekin's crew - Time to grind some gear.
Slow assault came to be a slow assault. Every minute, Anekin and his crew were getting closer and closer to a mall. Some soldier peeked through a second floor window and got shoot almost instantly. Another soldier threw a grenade from a roof, it did slowed down the advance for a bit, but only slowed down. Meanwhile Blaze were reluctant to attack.
Blaze - Do we really need to do all this?
Silent question were asked by Blaze. It's not like she didn't wanted to eliminate the enemy forces. She just didn't see any reason to be so... slow and meticulous about this. It would have been much more easier and efficient to just set the whole mall on fire. Or at least charge through using robots and not threat all this like some kind of a fun game. But everyone threated this like a game.
That is, untill someone started shooting at them, but from a another direction. In a matter of secconds, Anekin's team were driven back and taking heavy loses. Anekin, who were in the middle a fight, leading his team, caught a bullet right into his chest. Thankfully his armor vest withstood the hit and he fell to the ground as his lungs lost all of it's air.
Not sure of whole situation, Blaze was caught off guard too, as her frame recived a burst of bullets right into her chest. Frame was still intact, Blaze was still good an running, even with a damaged frame. She looked out at Anekin, who were struggling to get up on his feet, and then at the soldiers who were taking out their crew one after the other. Something has to be done, and Blaze decided to act. She pushed Anekin to the ground and wrapped her hands around him, not letting him to get up, while all of his team were dying just a few stepps away from them.
