Chapter 368: Han Li's New Discovery The Fundamental Law of Douluo, Truly Terrifying

For Yu Xiaogang, traveling took time, and Bibi Dong was still in seclusion, so Han Li had no reason to wait around idly in Tian Dou City.

After a brief rest, Qian Renxue had to continue her Angel God Trials.

However, as the saying goes since he was already here, he might as well make the most of it.

Han Li wasn't going to leave immediately.

After chatting with the grandfather granddaughter duo, he bid farewell and left.

First, he still needed to check on the progress of other people's god trials and see if they needed his help.

Second, it had been a long time since he checked in on Lou Gao.

After the hidden weapons were successfully created, Han Li had instructed the legendary blacksmith to focus entirely on increasing the power of explosives without worrying about cost.

The new version of gunpowder still couldn't match the explosive force Han Li remembered from his past life, but in this world, it was more than enough.

As long as the quantity was sufficient, nothing was impossible.

After his son had fully integrated with the Douluo Plane, Han Li had instructed it to dig up the remnants of the lost Soul Tool Civilization buried in history.

Soul Tool advancements relied on archaeology at least in the current era and there was no shame in that.

Unfortunately, none of the unearthed artifacts had the kind of devastating weaponry Han Li had hoped for.

This time, he planned to release some of the findings to Lou Gao as a reward.

As for gunpowder production, that couldn't stop.

All the manufactured stock, Han Li took with him.

The gods of Douluo weren't particularly powerful this was something he had confirmed firsthand.

He himself was proof of that.

Of course, immortality was still quite appealing.

"Do you need help with something?"

As soon as Han Li returned to the Resting Space, Gu Yue looked over.

During the three days he was gone, she had actually taken the time to rest properly.

However, she noticed something he had gone out, yet came back with a more serious expression.

"Nothing. Let's just keep training."

Han Li shook his head, pushing aside his thoughts.

Now was not the time to dwell on them.

Seeing that he didn't want to talk about it, Gu Yue didn't press further.

Instead, she reached out and took his hand, smoothly guiding them into another session of dual cultivation.

Her current state was excellent, and she felt that the finish line was near.

Inside the Resting Space, the two returned to their usual training rhythm.

But unlike before, Gu Yue noticed something different

After returning from his trip, Han Li had developed a peculiar habit.

Outside of training, he would repeatedly summon his martial soul and frequently activate his soul skills.

Sometimes he remained silent, deep in thought

Other times, he would burst into excitement.

However, whenever she asked about it, he would only smile and refuse to explain.

Since it wasn't affecting their training, Gu Yue let him be.

To be clear, Han Li wasn't going insane.

He was just kicking himself for being a fool.

He had known about Douluo's absurd mechanics from the very beginning, yet only recently had he realized the full implications.

Han Li wasn't just training

More accurately, he was trying to understand one of the fundamental laws of this world

The biggest defining feature of Douluo

Percentage based amplification.

This revelation struck Han Li while watching Dugu Yan and Zhu Zhuqing spar.

His growth had been so rapid that even though he had laid a strong foundation early on, it had become irrelevant in the face of divine level combat.

Among gods, battles were determined by divine power reserves, soul strength, and mastery of laws.

Without realizing it, Han Li had fallen into the same mindset.

It was only after seeing their battle that he finally snapped out of it.

If pre godhood combat scaled with proximity to the laws of the world, that was understandable.

But why after fully mastering the laws, with his divine power already transformed did his abilities still experience a percentage based boost?

(Even in the original story, divine skills have reduced effects, with damage caps set at 100%.)

His Law Rings restricted opponents' divine power consumption

Yet, even when he wasn't limiting his opponents, he found that identical laws wielded by him and Gu Yue produced different results.

Despite equal mastery and equal divine power usage, the raw output of their attacks varied.

This became his latest research focus.

Through multiple tests, Han Li confirmed his hypothesis

Before reaching godhood, many abilities could stack beyond 100% amplification.

But after becoming a god, the effect was capped at 100%.

Even so a flat 1x amplification was still a game changer.

Unlike in other worlds where gods clashed purely through abstract rule manipulation, the gods of Douluo still used techniques resembling soul skills.

In this environment, a guaranteed double strength boost was a massive advantage.

Now, Han Li was working on stabilizing his amplification at a fixed 100%, which was why his actions seemed so odd to Gu Yue.

Han Li tried to control it

But failed.

The Amplification Law as he had named it was as deeply embedded in the world as the fundamental rules of physics.

In fact, it seemed even more profound than his own Fate Law.

It could not be controlled.

Even with Plane Consciousness assisting him, he couldn't change it.

That was why Han Li classified it as a "fundamental rule of Douluo".

But that didn't matter.

If he couldn't control it

Then he would exploit it to the fullest.

The Amplification Law was not without traces; it existed within the soul rings of most spirit masters, merely functioning through a unique energy circulation method manifesting in the form of formations.

Coincidentally, long ago, Han Li had experimented with formation arrangements using various spirit bones and energy crystals.

Back then, he was merely copying what he saw.

Now, he was doing the same except this time, he needed to find the optimal solution.

What he needed was to analyze and extract the best configuration, then engrave it onto his divine core in the form of a stable formation.

At that point, even in the worst case, his strength would never be weak.

Every attack, regardless of type, would have double the power how could he possibly fail with such an advantage?

Han Li didn't believe that he was the only one capable of discovering this.

The God Kings of the Divine Realm weren't idiots, after all.

But in this world of mostly illiterate mortals and gods, they had likely only improved their abilities through experience, adjusting their skills without ever quantifying and fixing them at a maximum threshold.

And that was Han Li's key to victory.

During this time, he and his "son" had been fully utilizing all computational power, using the skills of spirit masters and soul beasts across the entire continent including Han Li himself as a blueprint to optimize the formation.

As of today, he had successfully stabilized the amplification formation at 90%.

The future was incredibly promising, and Han Li couldn't contain his excitement.

A month passed in the blink of an eye.

After achieving 90% stability within just half a month, progress slowed significantly.

Despite having countless soul skills as references, Han Li had only managed to optimize it to 94%, before hitting another bottleneck.

Nonetheless, this was already a massive improvement, and Han Li was very satisfied.

He was now confident that if he fought at full power assuming the opponent didn't run away he could defeat Gu Yue in three minutes, using nothing but Ice and Fire Law energy bombardment.

That very thought, however, was caught by Gu Yue during their soul fusion state.

As soon as they disengaged from soul fusion, Gu Yue's gaze turned hostile.

She was pleased with Han Li's power up

But she was extremely dissatisfied that every one of his combat calculations used her as a benchmark.

Han Li forced a sheepish smile.

It was, admittedly, awkward

But what choice did he have?

Among the top tier combatants he could engage with, Gu Yue was the one he was most familiar with.

Just as he was about to offer some kind of explanation, he suddenly received a message from his "son" in the mental space.

"Recover your strength. I need to step out for a bit."

Leaving behind a confused Gu Yue, Han Li crossed space instantly and appeared at his estate in Tian Dou City.

There, Qian Daoliu and Qian Renxue were already waiting.

Today, based on previous patterns, Bibi Dong was due to make an appearance.

Han Li had come because of this very news.

Over half a month ago, Yu Xiaogang had arrived in Spirit City.

However, after spending a considerable amount of gold spirit coins, he had simply settled in, without causing any disturbances.

Why?

Because Bibi Dong was still in seclusion.

Of course, this was an intentional setup by Han Li and the others.

After all how could random guards possibly be privy to such sensitive information?

Even if they knew, who would dare leak the Pope's whereabouts?

Yu Xiaogang's gold spirit coins easy money.

None of them cared about such a small amount, but if someone handed it to you for free, would you refuse?

Han Li glanced at Qian Renxue.

She didn't look well.

Her once radiant expression was now marred by deep dark circles visibly exhausted.

"How many attempts?"

Han Li raised an eyebrow.

It seemed like Dark Qian Renxue had really been torturing her the Holy Sword still hadn't been drawn.

"Once a day."

Qian Renxue understood his meaning, offering a simple response before falling silent again.

Confronting her own darkness was far more difficult than she had anticipated.

Since beginning her Seventh Trial, she had been tormented non stop.

The truth about her parents had become a psychological barrier she couldn't cross.

Just resisting the mental assault from her dark side, which constantly exploited this issue, had left her overwhelmed

Let alone fighting back.

However, other matters had been easier to accept, thanks to years of influence from Han Li's methods.

Ironically, it aligned with something he had often said

"Even the wisest judge struggles to resolve family affairs."

Qian Daoliu cast a glance at his granddaughter and fell silent.

Even he couldn't help her with this.

Sometimes, he wondered

If he hadn't cleared his own Eighth Trial early on, would he have also been stuck because of his disgraced son?

"For now, let's observe."

Han Li waved his hand, and a split screen projection of Spirit City appeared before the three of them.

On one side: Bibi Dong.

On the other: Yu Xiaogang.

Han Li sighed inwardly.

This wasn't going to be pleasant for Qian Renxue.

The trial was essentially forcing her to reject her mother by destroying her image.

But then again, Bibi Dong had never truly been a mother to her.

Given her past experiences, even Qian Renxue's very existence was a mistake.

In the end, it was better to rip off the bandage quickly.

Qian Renxue was the most innocent party in all this.

And ultimately this was her choice.
