Chapter 482 - Chapter 482: A Great Honor

Chapter 482: A Great Honor

Mu En and his group followed the staff member through several turns before stopping in front of an office. The staff member knocked respectfully on the door and said, "Supervisor, the people have arrived."

"Hmm, let the one in charge among them come in," came a young voice from inside the office.

The staff member turned to Mu En and the others and said, "Choose a representative to go in and meet the supervisor."

Exchanging glances, the group naturally chose Mu En, the strongest and most respected among them. Since only one person was allowed inside, they couldn't all barge in recklessly and had no choice but to comply. Given his strength and prestige, Mu En was the obvious choice.

With a soft click, the door was gently pushed open, revealing a spacious interior. A faint silhouette of a young man could be seen behind the desk, focused on handling official matters.

Mu En took a deep breath. For some reason, an indescribable tension gripped him. His over two centuries of cultivation seemed to have been thrown out the window, and for a moment, he felt like that reckless, naive youth he had once been.

Glancing back at his companions, who looked at him with high expectations, Mu En finally pushed the door fully open and stepped inside, closing it behind him.

The moment the door shut, those waiting outside immediately perked up their ears, straining to listen to the conversation inside. However, they heard nothing. The room was well soundproofed and even had anti surveillance measures. The reason they had been able to hear the supervisor's voice earlier was due to some special mechanism.

The staff member who had guided them here, realizing that Mu En would likely be inside for quite some time, decided not to stay. Turning to leave, he called out, "You may wait here or sit in the public hall. But remember, do not wander around aimlessly. Many areas here are restricted zones, and without special authorization, entry is forbidden. If you trespass, you'll bear the consequences yourself…"

Hearing his words, the remaining group exchanged looks and ultimately chose to wait right outside the door, eager for firsthand information.

These people were all top figures in various factions of the Douluo Two world. Though temporarily allied, they were not fully united. Their purpose in coming here was to secure as many resources as possible. Naturally, they feared that someone else might intercept Mu En first and gain an advantage, so none of them dared to leave.

Upon stepping into the office, Mu En felt as if he had entered an entirely different world.

He immediately realized that some kind of spatial technique had been used to expand the room. The environment inside was incredibly comfortable, and the energy in the air was astonishingly dense. More than anything, simply breathing in this space made him feel his own power subtly improving!

How terrifying!

Mu En was secretly alarmed. After all, he was already an Ultimate Douluo, just one step away from becoming a god. At his level, further breakthroughs should have been nearly impossible. Yet, just by standing in this office, the surrounding environment was actually enhancing his cultivation. If he didn't know better, he might have thought he had stepped into the legendary Divine Realm.

"If you're here, why are you just standing there?"

"Come over."

The young voice from the distant desk snapped him out of his thoughts.

Mu En forced himself to suppress the urge to sit down cross legged and cultivate on the spot it would have been far too humiliating. It would also make them, the visitors from Douluo Two, look like clueless bumpkins from the countryside. Though, in the eyes of the locals, that's exactly what they were.

But as long as they refused to acknowledge it, they could still pretend otherwise. A textbook case of self deception…

The office was simply furnished, with a few chairs, tables, and some potted plants.

Mu En had a sharp eye. At a glance, he immediately recognized that these seemingly ordinary potted plants were actually rare immortal herbs! Yet, here they were, casually planted like common decorative greenery. This alone spoke volumes such herbs, which were nearly impossible to find in his world, were nothing special here in White Cloud City.

The realization made Mu En want to laugh bitterly. His earlier arrogance instantly faded. He now understood that he had been misled by historical records.

This twin world, which had merged with theirs, might share a timeline from ten thousand years ago, but in reality, it had developed along a completely different path. It could no longer be measured by the standards of the past.

It made sense. A world with so many god tier powerhouses could never have been simple.

Realizing he and his group had made a critical miscalculation, Mu En quickly adjusted his mindset and adopted a humble demeanor. He carefully approached the desk.

Stopping a few meters away, he finally got a clear look at the young man sitting behind the desk and froze.

He looked so familiar. Especially those peach blossom shaped eyes… Where had he seen them before?

But where? When?

Mu En was puzzled but didn't dare ask. After all, there were many similar looking people in the world. Just because someone had a familiar face didn't necessarily mean anything.

The young man behind the desk was strikingly handsome, his peach blossom eyes exuding a charm that could easily deceive naive young women. At the moment, he was typing on a keyboard, his fingers dancing rapidly as the sharp tapping sounds echoed in the room.

The current level of soul tool technology had already developed to the point where computers existed. The young man was clearly using one to handle official matters.

Mu En dared not interrupt. He waited patiently until the young man finally stopped typing and looked up at him.

Just that single glance made Mu En feel an overwhelming, indescribable pressure.

It was a fundamental difference one between soul power and divine power.

There was no doubt.

This peach eyed young man was a god.

A true god, something that had not appeared in their world for over ten thousand years.

Godhood, the realm above Ultimate Douluo, was what Mu En had spent his entire life chasing yet had never been able to reach. And now, that ultimate goal, which he had only ever dreamed of, was standing right before him.

It was almost unbelievable.

He had assumed that this so called supervisor would, at most, be an Ultimate Douluo. But to his shock, he turned out to be a god.

A god had agreed to meet them in person.

Now that was a great honor.

Mu En deeply understood this.
