Chapter 136 - Chapter 137: Entering the Spirit Realm, the Challenge Begins

Time passed swiftly.

In the blink of an eye, a month had gone by.

On October 1st, Ben woke up early.

Race: Human

Constitution: 1610

Spirit: 467

Strength: 1610

Agility: 1610

Talent: Kryptonian Bloodline [Body of Steel ③, Super Strength ③]

Skills: Fist Bone · Impact, Armament Haki (Proficient)

Spiritual Energy Points: 790

These were Ben's current stats.

He stepped out of the sunbathing device with a smile, freshened up, and prepared to head to school.

Today marked the opening of the Spirit Realm.

More importantly, many prominent figures would be visiting. The teacher had specifically instructed him not to be late.

He opened the door.

Ben immediately saw Emima standing at the doorstep.

"Good morning, Sister Emima!"

He greeted her warmly, then added with a smile, "I was just about to call you! Didn't expect you to be ready already."

Emima responded with a smile, "It's such an important day; of course, I had to get up early so as not to delay you."

Ben checked the time and said, "The school is providing a hearty breakfast today. If we go now, we can catch it."

"Then let's go!" Emima replied.

The two walked together toward Chicago University.

A short while later, upon arriving at the school gate, they were stopped by the guards.

"Please show your credentials!"

Chicago University was stricter than usual today.

With many visitors expected, security was heightened for everyone's safety.

Ben and Emima cooperated fully.

Once inside, they noticed the school was bustling.

The playground was already filled with groups of people chatting and laughing.

These individuals exuded extraordinary presence, clearly influential figures from various sectors.

Soon, Ben spotted a familiar face.

"Sister Emima, please head to the cafeteria first! I saw an elder I need to greet."

"Alright! Go ahead, don't worry about me," Emima said, heading toward the cafeteria.

Ben approached the acquaintance.

"Hello, Uncle," Ben greeted proactively.

Indeed, the acquaintance was Leo's father, Chairman Henry!

As Leo's biological father, it was natural for Chairman Henry to be present.

Moreover, Chairman Henry's current position was no longer the City Association Chairman but the Provincial Extraordinary Person Association Chairman, having officially taken office.

He was undeniably powerful!

The middle-aged men conversing with Chairman Henry subtly deferred to him, their words laced with flattery.

Chairman Henry himself appeared high-spirited, a confident smile on his face.

However, upon seeing Ben, his smile gradually faded.

In response to Ben's greeting, Chairman Henry nodded slightly and said, "Ben, haven't you had breakfast yet? It's in the cafeteria; go eat first!"

Clearly, Chairman Henry wasn't interested in conversing with Ben.

He harbored preconceived notions, viewing Ben as a punk trying to woo his daughter.

Ben understood Chairman Henry's stance and said, "Then I won't disturb you, Uncle."

With that, Ben turned and left.

He wasn't bothered by Chairman Henry's attitude.

If he were in Chairman Henry's shoes, and some punk tried to pursue his daughter, he'd likely react similarly.

Chairman Henry frowned as he watched Ben walk away.

He had wanted his daughter to invite Jem Odessa over, but she had declined, citing Jem's busy schedule.

It was evident that Chairman Henry's previous attempt to have Jem pursue his daughter had been unsuccessful.

He had tried contacting Jem multiple times, but his phone remained off.

...

Ben arrived at the cafeteria, finding it more crowded than usual.

Many attendees were from outside the school.

Emima was seated with several men and women, chatting and eating; they were likely colleagues from the Zodiac Bureau.

Teachers and students were also enjoying their meals.

Ben didn't dwell on it, picked up a plate, and proceeded to get breakfast.

Today's breakfast was a buffet, offering a wide variety.

Midway through his meal, Ben's phone rang.

It was his eldest cousin, Artemis, calling.

On the phone, Artemis mentioned he had arrived at the school gate but was stopped by the guards.

Hearing this, Ben quickly finished his food, then headed to the school gate.

At the gate, Ben spotted a familiar figure.

"Ben!"

The young man called out to Ben.

"Big Brother."

Ben responded, greeting him.

Since transmigrating, this was Ben's first time seeing his eldest cousin.

After graduating, Artemis had joined the army, becoming a soldier. It was said he had joined the Extraordinary Forces and was often away from home.

Artemis, now twenty-seven, had a burly build, a resolute face, and exuded a strong military demeanor.

He seemed to have come directly from the military region, still in his uniform.

The guard at the gate allowed Artemis entry upon seeing Ben come out to greet him.

In fact, Ben had already sent Artemis an invitation letter issued by the school, which Artemis had presented.

However, invitation letters could be stolen, so having a student vouch for the guest was necessary.

This measure was to prevent unauthorized individuals from entering the school.

"Ben!"

Artemis walked into the school, approached Ben, patted his shoulder, and said with a smile, "You've changed completely in just a year! If your facial features hadn't remained the same, I wouldn't have recognized you."

This was true.

The changes brought about by the Great Superman physique were remarkable!

Compared to his high school days, Ben had become a different person.

He now stood taller than Artemis.

His physique was robust, muscles well-defined, and his body fat percentage was very low.

"Big brother, you've changed a lot too. The army really shapes people!" Ben replied politely.

In truth, the original Ben didn't have a close relationship with Artemis.

Their age gap prevented them from bonding during childhood.

However, now that they were adults, and for the sake of their grandfather, they maintained a harmonious relationship.

...

A short while later, Ben led Artemis to the cafeteria, where they had breakfast together. Ben also took the opportunity to show his cousin around the school.

By ten o'clock in the morning, Ben informed his cousin that he needed to gather with his teammates.

Upon arriving at the lounge, he found his teammates assembling.

"Ben, we're teaming up again."

The speaker was none other than Joe Root.

The two had previously teamed up in the third level of the Spirit Realm.

"That's right!"

Ben responded with a smile, his gaze sweeping the lounge, where he noticed two unfamiliar faces.

Over the past month, among the ten-member team, apart from Leo, everyone else had faced challenges from other students.

After all, many believed that teaming up with Leo guaranteed an easy win!

Who wouldn't want free Spirit Energy points?

Even Ben had been challenged by a hothead.

However, Ben had easily dealt with him.

Unfortunately, two members had been replaced due to challenges
