Adrien opened up the door to his room to leave only to pause. Leaning against the opposite wall out in the hallway with his arms crossed over his chest was Prince Mikyle.
"Wh-why are you here?" Adrien felt confused to find the second prince loitering casually in the boys' dormitory. As far as he was aware, the prince wasn't living on Academy grounds since the royal palace wasn't all that far away. He even remembered seeing Prince Mikyle board the same carriage as the Crown Princess Consort a few times.
Prince Mikyle's perfectly sculpted lips lifted up in the corners. The amused look in his eyes matched the smirk he was now sporting. "Hmm? Why can't I be here, Kitten?"
"Ki-kitten?" Adrien stuttered. He felt himself turn warm as embarrassment flushed through at hearing the strange endearment. That was the second time he had heard the prince refer to him in that manner.
