Chapter 357: What Kind of Monster Is He?
Moving at several hundred times the speed of light, Uchiha Dali and Ōtsutsuki Kyōshiki soon returned to the planet where the Shinobi World once was.
The once-vibrant planet was now long gone.
The entire star system was left with only a few frozen, lifeless worlds—including the moon.
The good news was that within Uchiha Dali's sensory range, he detected faint traces of life on those seemingly dead planets.
Especially on the one that had once been the Shinobi World.
"Is it because the star's energy is still continuously acting upon it...?"
Uchiha Dali looked toward the blazing star that radiated endless light and heat.
It was the only one in the entire system that hadn't been frozen.
"That's normal. Àoshiki hasn't evolved to the point where he can directly absorb stellar energy, so his technique doesn't have much effect on a star—sometimes it doesn't work at all," Ōtsutsuki Kyōshiki said beside him.
"Can you not use your mind-reading trick to peek into my thoughts?"
Uchiha Dali rolled his eyes.
He really wanted to completely shut out this guy's probing—otherwise, he wouldn't have any secrets left.
The moment that thought formed in his mind, Ōtsutsuki Kyōshiki's face curved into a playful grin.
"Not a bad idea. But if you could do that, I wouldn't have any leverage over you, would I?"
"So you'd better bear with it."
He was clearly enjoying himself, assuming Uchiha Dali had no way to block his mind-reading.
What he didn't know, however, was that perhaps due to his own arrogance—or maybe because Uchiha Dali had finally reached a new threshold—
Just as Kyōshiki laughed, a familiar system notification rang in Dali's mind.
[Ding! Your intense desire to block outside intrusion has caused abnormal activity in your brain cells. Your comprehension has doubled. You have learned the Divine Technique: Thought Separation!]
[Thought Separation: One of the Divine Techniques. Passive ability. The user's consciousness will automatically separate from external influence, preventing any means of mind-reading or thought intrusion.]
Exactly what he needed!
Uchiha Dali grinned.
He didn't even need to activate the technique manually—just having it was enough for it to function on its own, completely blocking any external attempts to peer into his mind.
"Why not test it out," he thought, turning to Kyōshiki with a faint smile.
Sure enough, he saw a flicker of confusion on the latter's face, followed by clear astonishment in his eyes.
"You…!"
Kyōshiki froze for two seconds before his eyes widened in disbelief.
"Looks like you can't read my thoughts anymore," Uchiha Dali said with a teasing smile.
"How did you do that? Just a moment ago I clearly could—"
"Face it, brother," Dali interrupted, laughing as he patted Kyōshiki on the shoulder. "Stop wasting your energy on pointless things."
Then he turned toward the frozen planet that once held the Shinobi World.
How could he restore this world's vitality?
He studied the frozen sphere closely.
Ōtsutsuki Àoshiki's technique wouldn't be easily undone—otherwise, Àoshiki wouldn't have used it as leverage to force him into neutrality.
Kyōshiki, still stunned by the sudden loss of his ability to read Dali's mind, followed his gaze to the frozen world.
"That's Àoshiki's Divine Technique. Not easy to undo. But you can give it a try. You always manage to surprise people—maybe you'll pull off another miracle…"
"Let me witness that heaven-defying comprehension of yours."
There was envy in Kyōshiki's eyes as he spoke.
Though Dali hadn't explained, he had already guessed the reason—everything came down to that overwhelming comprehension.
Now, Kyōshiki finally understood what "heaven-defying" truly meant.
It wasn't just strong—it broke every rule.
What others found impossible, Uchiha Dali could do effortlessly.
What others could never do, he still managed to accomplish with ease.
That was what "heaven-defying comprehension" really meant.
Seeing that Kyōshiki wasn't jealous but rather calm and accepting, Dali's opinion of him rose once again.
He had sensed from the start that Kyōshiki wasn't truly evil—hence why he chose to cooperate with him.
And once again, time proved his judgment right.
"I'll give it a try," Uchiha Dali said simply.
Without another word, he flew up to the frozen planet and began channeling his chakra, initiating a process of refinement and absorption to melt and consume the planet itself.
Kyōshiki's eyelid twitched as he watched.
Was this kid serious?
He was actually trying to unfreeze an entire planet by absorbing it?
If he lost control even slightly, all remaining life on that planet would be annihilated, its energy completely devoured.
At that point, it would truly be beyond saving.
But Dali seemed utterly unconcerned, continuing his work as if nothing could go wrong.
As he unleashed his refining absorption, Kyōshiki soon noticed something strange—the frozen planet was starting to change.
To be precise, it wasn't melting.
"That's… He's absorbing the energy that Àoshiki infused into the planet!"
"What kind of monster is this guy…?"
Kyōshiki was stunned.
Even he couldn't do such a thing.
By all logic, this was a Divine Sealing Technique left by Àoshiki himself—something no one but Àoshiki could undo.
Yet here was Uchiha Dali, brute-forcing a miracle—not by dispelling the seal, but by devouring the Divine energy that sustained it.
"Surprised?" Uchiha Dali asked, glancing over at the dumbstruck Kyōshiki.
"…Yeah."
Kyōshiki nodded solemnly.
"No need to be," Dali replied confidently.
"As long as I absorb all the energy, the Divine Seal will be undone, won't it?"
He said it as if it were the simplest logic in the world.
But deep down, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of regret.
If only he had mastered this devouring-refinement ability back when Ōtsutsuki Isshiki had sealed him in another dimension, he wouldn't have been trapped for so long.
