Chapter 349: The Art of the Space-Time Mirror
Uchiha Dali silently watched his movements, thinking to himself: "This guy's true nature isn't actually that bad. At the very least, he's someone worth befriending."
"It's just that… he doesn't seem too bright."
As expected, his inner thoughts were once again read by the other party.
Ōtsutsuki Kyōshiki immediately stopped everything he was doing, his sharp gaze shooting over.
"If you want to be my friend, you're still not quite there yet. Don't get ahead of yourself. We're only in a simple cooperative relationship. If, after we take down Àoshiki, I become stronger than you, I'll still cause you trouble."
His candid words only made Uchiha Dali's impression of him rise even further.
At least, compared to Ōtsutsuki Àoshiki—whom he had yet to meet but could already sense was treacherous—Kyōshiki felt far more trustworthy.
The feeling Uchiha Dali got from Ōtsutsuki Àoshiki was simple: that man had to be an insidiously cunning existence.
Because at this very moment, Àoshiki was clearly playing a psychological game against them.
The fact that he hadn't revealed himself yet, apart from being wary of their combined strength, hinted at another possibility—
He wanted to deliberately sow paranoia between Uchiha Dali and Ōtsutsuki Kyōshiki.
As long as they couldn't locate Àoshiki and had to constantly guard against a sudden ambush, their energy would be drained.
Feigning truth and falsehood over and over—eventually, even gods could be driven mad.
But most importantly, they had no way of knowing when or from where Àoshiki might suddenly strike.
"You don't have that kind of ability?"
Uchiha Dali suddenly asked out of curiosity.
Because in his mind, certain images had just surfaced.
They came from his Observation Haki's newly advanced domain—an extension of its ability to glimpse the future.
Uchiha Dali saw, somewhere in an unknown galaxy, a figure within deep space using some kind of remote surveillance technique to observe their every move.
Though the figure's face was obscured, there was no doubt in his mind—it was Ōtsutsuki Àoshiki.
And before him, on a glowing screen, was the very scene of Uchiha Dali and Ōtsutsuki Kyōshiki, their location and every action laid bare.
The ability was utterly broken—
Countless times more useful than his Observation Domain.
Against such a power, Uchiha Dali and Kyōshiki were essentially transparent prey.
How could they possibly fight like this?
Ōtsutsuki Kyōshiki frowned in puzzlement. "What ability?"
Seeing that Kyōshiki genuinely didn't know, Uchiha Dali described what he had seen.
"I don't know what this technique is called, but I can guarantee you—your brother Àoshiki has definitely mastered it. Otherwise, he wouldn't be acting so boldly."
Hearing this, Kyōshiki fell silent in thought.
After a moment, he muttered to himself: "It's the Art of the Space-Time Mirror."
"The Art of the Space-Time Mirror?"
Uchiha Dali looked at him doubtfully, then nodded.
The name itself was telling.
At first glance, one might think of it as some kind of 'telescope technique.'
But clearly, its spying effect was on a level far beyond anything like that.
"I don't know it," Kyōshiki declared confidently.
"Didn't you say your abilities were similar to his? That must mean he's recently developed it. If that's the case, then we basically have no chance of finding his location. Meanwhile, he can appear anywhere at any time to ambush us."
"As soon as we lower our guard, even a little…"
Uchiha Dali's expression grew increasingly grim.
Strictly speaking, the two brothers Ōtsutsuki Kyōshiki and Àoshiki were already half a step into godhood.
And a god's power was nearly limitless.
"The Art of the Space-Time Mirror…"
He murmured the words to himself, over and over.
In his mind, he replayed again and again the vision he had seen through his advanced Observation Domain.
And then, suddenly—Uchiha Dali's eyes widened in realization.
A flood of information surged into his mind.
At the same time, he heard the long-familiar chime of his system.
[Ding! Through deep thought and logical deduction, you have successfully comprehended the Art of the Space-Time Mirror!]
[Art of the Space-Time Mirror: By expending one's own energy, the user can project a space-time mirror that peers across infinite distances. The mirror's feedback projection allows the user to monitor any chosen target.]
[Note: Monitoring a target requires first acquiring their unique energy signature, such as chakra characteristics.]
So it was, indeed, a supportive ability—
But an exceptionally powerful one.
The only flaw was clear: to use it, he needed the target's chakra signature in advance.
This put Uchiha Dali in a bind.
He had never seen Ōtsutsuki Àoshiki in person, and thus had no way of knowing his chakra traits.
Naturally, his gaze shifted toward Ōtsutsuki Kyōshiki.
Noticing the strange look Dali was giving him, Kyōshiki asked, puzzled: "What?"
"You've fought your brother many times, so you must know his chakra signature well, right?"
"Yes. What of it?" Kyōshiki asked, still confused.
Though unsure why Dali suddenly brought this up, he still raised a hand and condensed a mass of chakra energy in his palm.
"As far as I know, recording someone's chakra signature is usually for the sake of tracking them. You don't mean to say—"
"That's exactly what I mean."
"When I devoured his clone earlier, all the energy got refined, so I didn't get a chance to record it."
Uchiha Dali admitted openly as he reached out, seized the chakra imbued with Àoshiki's signature, and swallowed it whole.
Kyōshiki's eyes instantly blazed with intensity, his face openly displaying his shock.
Meanwhile, Uchiha Dali had already begun activating the Space-Time Mirror technique he had just mastered.
At once, with the aid of the obtained chakra signature, Àoshiki's location was revealed.
A flash of illusory light passed, and a transparent projection appeared before Uchiha Dali and Kyōshiki.
Inside the light screen, within an indistinguishable expanse of void, a lone figure stood proudly.
The moment he saw that figure, Kyōshiki blurted out: "Àoshiki!"
"Oh? Looks like it worked…"
"How the hell are you able to use this technique?!"
Kyōshiki turned, looking at Uchiha Dali with shock and disbelief.
This was a bona fide divine art—
Even he hadn't mastered it yet!
But he wasn't the only one astonished.
At that very moment, the one who was himself using the Art of the Space-Time Mirror to spy on them—Ōtsutsuki Àoshiki—was equally stunned by what he saw.
