The demon realm was nothing like I expected it to be , the heavenly realm already painted images of a desolate world with blood, war and loneliness in our heads yet this place was nothing like it .
" What if we've lived a lie our whole lives ? Axel murmured and I realized it was true .
" Just what if ?
We continued walking straight , demon realm never had a daylight that I had noticed . It was brightly dark . Quite the contrast right ? It was always dark but they had this purple flowers everywhere that glowed immensely, the streets were filled with a certain gloom but unity as we saw and came came across women with their children, husbands holding hands with their wives, children running after their parents, none feeling left out and as much as it hurt me to say , somehow the demon realm honoured unity, love and help more than the heavenly realm.
After a while , we paused to ask around to know where we were headed , just then a man passed by and I found myself holding on to the hem of his attire asking " Excuse me please" .. He stopped in his tracks and slowly turned to me , his face covered with a half mask , his scent exuded dominance and somehow had an air of fear. His hair, midnight black , with a white stripe fell gracefully on his shoulder. He was dressed in all white which was quite the contrast in this realm .
" Yes? He asked .
"We apologise for the abruptness but could you kindly guide us on where we are ? We are visiting.." Axel said .
He gazed us up and down and looked straight at me " Welcome to demon realm , this is the Lightning market, it closes in two hours . Most of the inns here are occupied and some destroyed since ….."
His voice trailed off.
" You can stay over with me , I will introduce you to the elders of the realm and inform them about your visitation as the law says"
Axel nodded in compliance and the man led us with him.
" It's nothing like I expected" I say to Axel .
" Most definitely, it's too easy"

" You talk like you are from our counterparts which is intriguing because I sense demonic energy from you both". The man said .
" We are tourists". Axel replied.
" Even tourist have a home now don't they ?
I smiled trying to ease the tension.
" Our journey might take longer than expected, it's advisable we make a stop to eat as thy strength will be needed" The man suggested.
We soon found a place to eat and as we were about to settle down to eat , the man moved his hair to his left side showing his neck by the right side and for a split second , I saw it . The same stripe on my neck was on his and his was darker, more engraved, more like his neck was clawed and the reddish spots made me feel uneasy but I kept it within and kept a close eye on him.
" Why do you wear white? I found myself asking.
" Why not" he retorted
" It's unusual for your realm"
" It doesn't mean we don't do it though?
" And the mask?
" Does it pose a problem?
" Just curious"
Axel pinched me under the table but I ignored it and ignored him.
As I keenly looked at the man , his eyes became familiar but I couldn't place it not until the image flashed before me again this time it took my consciousness with it .
What if I knew him , but where ?
