The Divine Tree in this world was growing exceptionally well. It had already produced a Chakra Fruit.
Because of that, the life energy it demanded had reached a terrifying level. The native divine beasts of this planet could no longer endure it, and they finally launched a desperate assault on the Divine Tree.
Before the Divine Tree bloomed, it had already swallowed an enormous amount of planetary energy, but that was still barely within what the world could bear. Yet once it flowered and bore fruit, its rate of absorption increased by hundreds, even thousands of times.
For the sake of their homeland, the native divine beasts formed an alliance for the first time and launched an all out attack against the Divine Tree and the Otsutsuki clan.
"Haha! You finally arrived!"
The exhausted Otsutsuki Koshiki laughed wildly.
"Hurry up and kill all these beasts! The Divine Tree Fruit is about to ripen ahead of schedule!"
The Chakra Fruit had undergone a strange mutation after the Ten-Tails absorbed the blood of countless monsters. A faint crimson shade now covered its surface, making it look eerie and ominous.
Momoshiki and Kinshiki wasted no time. They immediately joined the battle and began slaughtering the native divine beasts.
Their mission was to ensure that this mutated Chakra Fruit ripened successfully.
If they failed, they would face severe punishment from the elder once they returned.
That was why Momoshiki was so irritated by Urashiki, that self-important bastard!
Among the native divine beasts, a three-headed dragon, a giant upright lizard, and a massive gorilla roared toward the sky.
Under the command of these three kings, countless monsters launched endless suicidal charges at the Divine Tree.
Beams of energy burst from their mouths, blasting toward the branches of the Divine Tree and the three Otsutsuki clan members.
In the sky, swarms of enormous flying monsters rushed at the increasingly crimson Divine Tree Fruit, launching a devastating assault.
"Protect the Divine Tree Fruit!"
Otsutsuki Koshiki roared.
His chakra was almost exhausted. If the three monster kings had not been wary of one another and unwilling to fully cooperate, he might not have lasted until reinforcements arrived.
When the Otsutsuki pair first descended on this planet, they had searched everywhere, but they could not find these powerful beasts. They had all been hiding somewhere, locked in deep sleep.
Only after the Otsutsuki sacrificed their subordinate and let the Divine Tree take root did these native beasts begin emerging one after another, becoming an endless source of trouble.
And because this world had almost no humanoid creatures of normal size, their long search for a proper vessel had yielded nothing.
In the end, unwilling to waste any more time, Koshiki forced his subordinate to reincarnate.
The Otsutsuki guardian had no choice but to implant his [Karma] into a white-haired dwarf ape that was four or five meters tall and possessed only average talent. After that, he sacrificed himself to the Ten-Tails larva and became the Divine Tree.
But even Koshiki had not expected the thawing of the [Karma] to be so slow this time.
Hundreds of years had passed, and it still had not fully decompressed. The reincarnated guardian barely had enough combat power to help.
Most importantly, this Otsutsuki guardian now carried a deep resentment toward his superior, Otsutsuki Koshiki.
If he had not been forced into reincarnation, he would never have become this ape monster.
With reinforcements from the Otsutsuki clan arriving, the three monster kings finally reached an agreement. Each of them would deal with one opponent.
The three-headed dragon was cunning. It immediately chose the weakened Otsutsuki Koshiki as its target.
The gorilla faced the seemingly powerful Otsutsuki Kinshiki.
That left the giant lizard to deal with the strongest among them, Otsutsuki Momoshiki.
As the king among kings, it also needed to display its strength.
"Lord Koshiki, I can't handle this many monsters!"
The ape-like Otsutsuki Kyoshiki shouted nervously at Koshiki.
His [Karma] had not fully decompressed yet, and he could only exert sixty to seventy percent of his strength. That was nowhere near enough to stop the monster army.
"Momoshiki! There should be one more! Didn't the elder say he sent three people down?"
Koshiki was furious.
His chakra was already at its limit, and he needed time to recover.
"...He went to attack the monsters on the outer perimeter."
Momoshiki did not dare admit that Urashiki had gone off on his own.
He feared that Koshiki would explode in rage and cause the mission to fail.
However, his dissatisfaction with Urashiki had already reached its peak. Once they returned, he would definitely teach that bastard a lesson.
"Damn it! Contact him now! Tell him to come back immediately!"
Koshiki roared, then swiftly flew to the top of the Divine Tree to protect the mutated Chakra Fruit.
He had already noticed the greedy gaze of the three-headed dragon.
"Kinshiki, finish this quickly! Take down that gorilla!"
When Momoshiki faced the giant lizard, he quickly discovered that his Rinnegan could not absorb the beast's breath attack.
"It isn't chakra energy!"
Momoshiki's expression turned solemn.
That meant the abilities of his Rinnegan were practically useless against this monster.
"Kenshin Kiba!"
With no other choice, Momoshiki switched to other attack methods. He used earth attribute chakra to summon several monsters with dragon heads and serpent bodies, sending them biting toward the giant lizard that was firing wildly.
However, the lizard monster's defense was extremely strong. His attacks could barely cause any damage.
At the same time, Momoshiki had to keep dodging the monster's terrifying breath.
"Saru-Iwa!"
"Pheasant Hunt!"
Momoshiki used fire and earth chakra to create a lava giant. The giant leapt onto the lizard monster and began beating it down, restricting its movements.
Then he formed a giant fire bird with fire chakra and bombarded the lizard monster.
In an instant, the lizard monster was slammed to the ground.
Seeing it fall, Momoshiki immediately condensed a massive dark red spiral energy ball and hurled it toward the beast.
The huge explosion drew the attention of Brook, who had rushed over from the distance.
He had not expected the native divine beasts of this planet to actually be capable of fighting three Otsutsuki clan members.
Did that not mean this planet was as strong as, or perhaps even stronger than, the Naruto world?
Brook had already memorized the coordinates of this planet.
From now on, this place would become one of his backyards.
Perhaps this planet could even be used as bait to lure more Otsutsuki to their deaths.
As long as an Otsutsuki elder did not appear, Brook was confident he could hunt down any member of the clan.
When Brook arrived at the Divine Tree battlefield, he was also surprised by the appearance of these monsters.
They looked somewhat like the giant monsters from the MonsterVerse.
The three-headed behemoth fighting the Otsutsuki clan really did resemble King Ghidorah, Godzilla, and Kong.
Of course, they were only somewhat similar. They were much larger, and their colors were slightly different.
They also seemed to share a common language and were constantly communicating with one another.
When Brook saw the enormous crimson Chakra Fruit hanging at the top of the Divine Tree, he could not help being drawn to it.
This fruit seemed even more advanced than the Chakra Fruit Kaguya had eaten.
It had clearly undergone some kind of special mutation.
-------------
Seeing the scale of the battle, Brook knew this was the perfect chance to fish in troubled waters.
He used Sukunahikona again, shrinking himself to the size of a mosquito. The rune shield around his body perfectly concealed his aura.
Then, through Yomotsu Hirasaka, he appeared directly beside the giant crimson Chakra Fruit while an Otsutsuki clansman was struggling to hold back the three-headed dragon.
A mutated fruit that was almost ripe.
Brook carefully observed the Divine Tree Fruit. It was still absorbing energy drawn up by the Divine Tree, undergoing its final maturation and transformation.
But did Brook really need to wait until it fully ripened?
To him, it was all energy that could evolve the power of the Four Gods.
Brook laughed inwardly, then clung to the Chakra Fruit like an insect. A black rod formed from the power of the Four Gods appeared in his hand, becoming his chakra absorber.
Without the slightest hesitation, Brook drove the black rod into the Chakra Fruit and began continuously drawing out its chakra energy.
Meanwhile, the Otsutsuki clan and the native divine beasts were still locked in battle. For a while, no one noticed Brook's presence.
But the Ten-Tails Divine Tree itself also possessed a certain degree of consciousness. It sensed that something was wrong and realized that the fruit seemed to have encountered a problem.
However, all of its masters were currently engaged in battle, so it could only continue nourishing the Chakra Fruit that was about to ripen.
Unless its master faced mortal danger or actively summoned it, it would not leave its Divine Tree state and return to its Ten-Tails form.
It also kept watch over the safety of the Otsutsuki clan members. If its owner encountered a true crisis, it would step in.
Otherwise, it could only continue absorbing energy and force the fruit to ripen.
As Brook absorbed the chakra energy, he also kept an eye on the battlefield.
The Otsutsuki clan truly lived up to their reputation as the strongest race in this star field. The native divine beasts of this planet were no match for them.
The giant lizard and giant gorilla had already been completely suppressed and were being beaten down by Momoshiki and Kinshiki. Only the three-headed dragon in the sky could still bully the chakra depleted Otsutsuki Koshiki.
However, more monsters quickly joined forces to help the two battered kings fight against those terrifying little figures.
The Divine Tree's guardian, Otsutsuki Kyoshiki, was overwhelmed by the sheer number of native monsters and nearly died several times. It was clear that he could not protect the Divine Tree at all.
"Lord Momoshiki, I can't hold on anymore!"
Kyoshiki shouted.
"If this continues, the Divine Tree will really be attacked!"
If the Divine Tree suffered a heavy attack, it would automatically leave its Divine Tree state and enter its Ten-Tails battle form. If that happened, they would only obtain an immature Chakra Fruit, and their mission evaluation would drop sharply.
"Trash!"
Momoshiki had no choice but to abandon his plan of pressing the advantage.
That gave the giant lizard a chance to breathe.
Momoshiki immediately rushed toward the Divine Tree.
"Takamimusubinokami: Sun God!"
Endless fire attribute chakra surged out of Momoshiki's red Rinnegan, transforming into a massive fireball the size of a small sun. He hurled it toward the frenzied monsters.
The huge explosion made Brook feel a little regretful.
What a waste of energy. How much blood and vitality had just been lost before the Divine Tree could absorb it?
"Momoshiki, kill them all quickly and sacrifice them to the Divine Tree! This time, we're guaranteed to obtain a high quality mutated Chakra Fruit!"
Otsutsuki Koshiki shouted madly.
"Final victory will belong to the Otsutsuki clan!"
"I'm killing them."
Momoshiki replied coldly. He even took a moment to send several special messages to Urashiki, but received no response at all, which made him even angrier.
Brook felt the endless stream of energy flowing into him.
Picking peaches at the last moment felt wonderful.
He wondered when the Otsutsuki clan would finally discover him.
Several times, he had the chance to ambush and kill the Otsutsuki clansman fighting the three-headed dragon, but he did not act.
He knew that if Koshiki died, the Divine Tree would definitely transform back into the Ten-Tails.
For the sake of squeezing out a little more profit, Brook decided to let him live a while longer.
If Brook chose to plant a second Divine Tree himself, he would not have that much time to wait.
However, as the battle continued and Koshiki repeatedly fell into danger, the Divine Tree became more and more restless. It looked as though it might turn back into its Ten-Tails form at any moment to protect its master.
For the next half day, Otsutsuki Koshiki kept cursing Urashiki for not returning, and even cursed Momoshiki as well.
Brook almost laughed when he heard it.
It was about time.
Just as the strongest Otsutsuki, Momoshiki, was using a powerful technique to clear out the monsters, Brook finally made his move.
He severed the crimson mutated Chakra Fruit while it was still alive and threw it into his alternate dimension.
While everyone was still stunned, Brook used Yomotsu Hirasaka to appear beside Otsutsuki Koshiki. He stabbed Koshiki straight through the heart, and endless golden sealing runes instantly crawled across the Otsutsuki's body.
Then Brook threw the sealed Koshiki into another dimension.
Countless black sealing rods pierced Koshiki's body inside that space, pinning him firmly to the ground.
This sudden turn of events startled both the Otsutsuki clan and the monsters.
But the Divine Tree did not freeze.
The moment the Chakra Fruit was harvested and its master was captured, it instantly entered a berserk state and transformed into a gigantic ten-tailed monster.
It charged straight at Brook.
"Sage Art: Sixteen Paths Divine Gates!"
Sixteen enormous black divine gates descended from the sky, pinning the Ten-Tails monster's ten tails, limbs, waist, and neck to the ground.
The Ten-Tails roared wildly, but it could not break free.
"Who are you? Hand over Senior Koshiki!"
Momoshiki stared warily at the enemy who had suddenly attacked them.
This stranger not only had three nine-tomoe Rinnegan, but could also use Yomotsu Hirasaka. That shocked him even more.
And he was certain there was no such person in the Otsutsuki clan!
Kinshiki immediately appeared beside Momoshiki, protecting his superior.
He could sense the terrifying pressure coming from Brook.
It felt like facing an Otsutsuki elder, filled with oppression and danger.
"Why don't you go in and keep him company?"
Brook smiled teasingly at Momoshiki.
Meanwhile, the three monster kings had reunited. The three-headed dragon narrowed its eyes at the two injured kings, seeming to harbor other ideas.
