Easton Holmes had just sat down by the bed when Lily Turner placed the phone by his ear. But what on earth was she just talking about?
Brother-in-law? Whose brother-in-law is he?
He looked at her with a face full of confusion, hoping she would clarify, but she just turned her face to the side, pretending not to see his confusion.
Easton was still wondering who it was when Ryan Taylor's voice came through the phone, "Brother-in-law! What were you up to just now? Why did it take you so long to answer my call?"
Brother-in-law! What a nice title, it sounds better than brother.
"You..."
Upon hearing Ryan's voice, Easton suddenly understood. There was no need to ask; he knew his wife had recognized the person on the other end of the line.
This was something worthy of happiness, but upon thinking he would now be called brother-in-law by the person on the phone, his heart didn't feel incredibly joyful.
