Alice Turner noticed something wasn't quite right with Thomas Fisher. She couldn't pinpoint exactly what it was, but she felt he wasn't acting normally.
Who called him just now? Why did he become so strange after taking that call?
She sat down next to him again, laptop in hand, placing it casually in the empty spot next to her.
"What's wrong with you?"
Alice turned to look at Thomas beside her, her face full of worry and confusion, eager to know who had called him just now.
Thomas reached out and pulled Alice, who had just sat down, into his arms. He didn't want to say anything; he just wanted to hold her quietly like this.
Alice looked up at the man holding her, who remained silent. Seeing that he didn't want to speak, she didn't press further. Leaning against him, she let him hold her in a daze.
"Alright, go back to your room." Thomas kissed Alice's forehead and released her from his embrace, a flicker of reluctance quickly flashing in his eyes.
