Without the expected pain, Violet Zimmerman only felt the closeness of their skin... and then, nothing else.
Her confused eyes showed surprise, and her thoughts became much clearer, "Daxton?" What was going on, she couldn't get the words out.
Lying on top of Violet Zimmerman, Daxton Lancaster felt utterly defeated.
"Daxton?"
Receiving no response, Violet called again. Daxton Lancaster turned over and lay on his side, pulling the quilt, leaving Violet with his back.
"It's getting late, let's sleep."
Violet...
Looking at Daxton Lancaster's back, her heart was a mix of emotions.
It didn't work. Daxton Lancaster was in a bad mood, even Violet could see the gloominess on his face.
In the morning, Violet Zimmerman walked down the stairs. Clearly, she was the one who should be unhappy, but looking at the man's stern face, Violet still pretended nothing had happened and smiled.
"Daxton, why are you up so early?"
