Sophia Hamilton went to the bank to cash the check, afraid that Violet Zimmerman might regret it. On her way back to the company, her small hand kept touching that card through her crossbody bag from time to time, the corners of her lips all lifted up.
The driver saw her repeat that motion several times, couldn't help glancing over through the rearview mirror, and asked with a smile, "Secretary Han, what's got you so happy, did you hit the jackpot?"
"Pretty much!" Sophia touched the bank card again through her bag, her happiness written all over her face.
When it was time to get off work, Sophia had just come out of the elevator when she saw lots of colleagues standing in front of the company entrance, pointing at something and quietly gossiping about it.
Out of curiosity, Sophia walked over while looking outside through the glass door.
