By dusk, the island glowed warm and alive again.
The contestants had earned their reward—and their huts were miraculously reassembled, lanterns flickering like captured stars along the beach. The crew set down the heavy crates—the same ones they just used as part of the challenge—in the center of camp, the scent of the ocean still lingering wafted from them as Derek announced.
"Dinner time, survivors! Courtesy of your first win."
The lids came off with a creak. Inside—neatly packed on crushed ice—was a spread of fresh seafood:
Glossy fish, fat shrimp, scallops still in their shells, even a lobster or two gleaming red beneath the sunset.
"Whoa!"
Marco said, eyes wide.
"They're spoiling us."
"Correction…"
Yu said smoothly, lifting a shrimp by the tail.
"They're testing us. This is all raw. Anyone here know how to turn this into dinner?"
Silence. Lila grimaced. Isaac rubbed the back of his neck. Marco shrugged helplessly.
"That's what I thought, haah…"
