Saga:-Journey to the sunrise
Arc 2:- INDESCRIBABLE STEPS
Chapter->31
-->ACT
Scyures stood there understanding one crucial thing that the house exists in two different states—Calm, which is grounded in reality and Terror, which is disconnected from reality.
My job is to balance it out since fire cannot be balanced by fire alone, so does ice.
I have to exaggerate my ACT in Calm and stay cool in terror.
just one time Scyures! push yourself to the edge, think of it as a game. You're a game character...Depersonalization technique!
The door opened. A face peeked out with little baby fat and bobbed out lips.
"This wan.." he took a step back and bowed with his hand on his chest and one behind his back, taking a deep breath.
"This wanderer of the stars is lost, could you spark his candle which had lost it's luster?" What the hell did I just say? I mixed so many different lines together shit!
"U..erm.." the girl was surprised and confused then she heard some words from inside.
She retracted her face, said something and then opened the door. It was a beautiful interior with crimson wood furniture, a dining table in the centre, and the kitchen was just visible from the door as the dining table was occupied by four people:-A middle aged man, A women around her late 20's, A teen kid and An old man with visible wrinkles, All-smiling shrunken eyes and a thick silver beard with no hair on head.
The dining table had a beautiful table cloth with black and white designs similar to pegasus's. In the centre was a white shining flower pot with roses inside and leaves crowding it's opening, all of it again.
Ba-dump!
Slither!
Scyures's eyes moved here and there watching tentacles— smooth and thick closing in as the rotten corpses's eye sockets pointed in his direction. Calm down! Phew...It's just a cut scene, it's just a filler boss, it's just a rookie level, it's just a happy play.
As he smiled, the pressure on his body decreased, he moved slowly, calmly. As he rested his palm on cold chair and tried to push it.
Slither!
The force he tried was more than the calm so his hand just froze there. He calmed down and slowly pulled the chair behind with a creak.
Ba-dump!
The birds were chirping outside the window as the sunlight drew in.
"Who you must be Mr. Wanderer?" As Scyures bowed down, smiling highly. He was asked.
"I. Residing before your presence, would like to be addressed as The Magician of the dusk, the guardian of dawn, the wandering moniker of gaia."
Gaia? The faces awestruck suddenly laughed, in the laughter they introduced themselves as Scyures was given a cup of juice and golden bread with butter and soup.
This time the food is different, I think I'm making progress. I should continue this...
Ba-dump!
Slither...
The foot turned into dry leaves with worms crowding the plate as the corpses on the chairs were staring at Scyures while weird liquids dropped from them as one of the tentacles slowly slithered over Scyures's leg.
Do...I have to eat it? No, no , no. I just have to be calm but..I also have to let the script move forward. Should I say no? But to whom? If I didn't do anything fast enough it will end again. Will it loop back? I'm so tired to do it again. I can't. I have to do it now, will just a bite be okay?
Scyures's thoughts buffered as he leisurely picked a leaf that was the least in contact with the worms as he shook it a bit so the worms fell. He pinched the leaf from the other side, while the untouched side from the worms was facing Scyures's mouth. What if It ends now? I have to wait!
I don't need to eat this... GaRbAgE.
SLITHER!
The cold, smooth tentacles brushed over Scyures's leg as it was heavier than anything in the room.
Crunch!
Ba-dump!
Scyures opened his eyes only to see he had taken a bite from the butter dipped bread while everyone was looking at him. The mother spoke, "How was it?" In a little nervous manner.
Scyures replied with a smiling face, extra! I have to be extra!
"It was utterly delicious, t‐the flllavoursss Mmmetled in my mouth! like golden sun's warmth took over my body annnd purified my exxxxissstenceee!." He smirked at the end showing he enjoyed, the crunchy leaf.
Scyures suddenly saw the on the table, the ceiling and his hand some letters were being arranged as suddenly time froze with a sonic boom.
Whaa!..
Scyures was startled as he looked at his hand where the letters formed creating something meaningful.
"Treat your treater like a treat. To be treated by fate, you must dance on with a date." Who wrote this... darn!
His mouth's corner twitched as he saw time unfreeze.
He was still saracasticaly smiling thinking, 'Now I have to dance with...her????'
His gaze wasn't on the girl who opened the door for him, but the women who was quite beautiful with neither showing signs of being too young or too old. If it were for a rogue place with normal surroundings, she would've been a centre of attraction.
Now how should we do this? Dance? I don't even know regular steps. Sigh!
Scyures inhaled deep breath as he spoke, "Milady, madam Lemosa. Can I request to repay the debt I have borne now by eating the luxury you have presented before me by a tradition from my local land?"
Sorry Mr. Uncle, but I gotta do this.
"Huh?" Everyone's face was lit surprised as Lemosa's bread fell into soup, she started blushing and looked down. Her hands circling her hair as the other one was clenching the gown tightly.
"What do you mean?" The grandpa's gaze became tighter as if Scyures was being judged. I have to be authentic, I know these kinds of scenes. The grandpa will ask Miss Lemosa if she wanna dance, Mr. Fredz will ask her not to but she'll say it's just a tradition.
"I mean, this wonderful dish deserves an applause that I want to perform a traditional to thanks that as a pride which was given to me by my ancestors."
Scyures spoke with his hand on his chest, slightly bowing with a poker face constantly smiling as if it was purer than anything at that moment.
Mr. Ceulus frowned, Cyle looked at her mother. Klynt was conflicted hence he didn't speak.
"May I?" Scyures asked again. Grandpa looked at Mrs. Lemosa and then his son. He growled and then coughed.
"If it's just a tradition.." Lemosa looked at Scyures with her glossy lips and blushing cheeks. Her hair were tied back different from the first try, and she was suddenly more beautiful.
Crackle! Scyures looked where the sound came from as he blinked.
Ba-dump. The skeletal figure wearing a tattered night gown stood slowly approaching Scyures.
Calm down! Calm down! This spell isn't some regular one. It's not gonna let me dance with a beautiful women that easily.
Scyures left out a sigh kneeled and closed his eyes rasing his hand to hold hers. His fingers slowly ran over the bones of a arm as if they were smooth but rusty;he looked up opening his eyes.
Ba-dump!
The whole room was empty with only the flower pot on the middle as rose petals were scattered everywhere. Lemosa in her beautiful flesh and skin looked at Scyures.
Scyures skipped a beat as he saw the surroundings, no one was there except them. Lemosa's night gown was now deep blue with similarities of being a little loose as it was slightly off shoulder from one side.
Does this include lust as a test too! Ugh!
The lights were dim, like lo-fi, slight blue and purple illuminating Lemosa's face, her eyes were filled with exquisite luxury and exotic joy. I was feeling a kind of sublime from her as her chirping laughter filled the whole cathe...
Wait..
As Scyures looked around the whole area was changed as the moon hung above the sky began being visible from the tainted and stained glasses. The catherdral's area was big from inside as on the front was a book's carved statue and a bottle's liquid flowing over it. The statue and carvings was so detailed as if crafted by a GOD.
Lemosa was still in her dress which was nearly scandalous but dancing on the thin line of Grace and forbidden.
As Scyures was holding her hand, Lemosa's fingers caressed over her bosom slowly folding behind and kneeling to meet his gaze. As they both stood up together, golden snowflakes carrying a subtle warmth fell on their skin enchanting them.
Their bosoms closed as their hands dug their fingers in slowly spreading out. Scyures took a step back, then back, then rotate as Lemosa's body worked on the rhythm. The dance similar to Viennese waltz was the central performance of the cathedral with glowing rose petals gracefully falling like feathers.
One. Two. One. Round.
Their gazes met as Lemosa's joy was indescribable, Scyures, not wanting to admit but, he was feeling the joy, as a man being able to dance with such a beauty of grace and aura was sure a boon to a man.
Her lashes glowing with the dew of morning sun, as her lips were enchanted like dusk's reflection in a well.
The dance went forever, as Scyures felt countless gazes fell on them but Lemosa did not care, her hair flowing over her bosom were elegant and ethereal.
I felt this feeling for the first time, if I had to simply describe, it was love. Not a love of a man falling for a women, but the love for joy, the love for beauty of such scene and grace. Either way Scyures was a simple man blushing and constantly worrying about the gazes.
