Chapter 220 - Chaos Scepter the 3rd

In a quiet corner of an inn, the air was heavy with the scent of cheap stew and the weight of an impending massacre. Dell poked at his food, his voice a low whisper.

"Rei, we can't save this city. We should just save ourselves. You can control one of those monsters again, and we can slip out during the chaos."

Rei paused, his spoon hovering mid-air. "We could. But would we ever sleep again? If we walk away, their blood is on our hands just as much as it is on Wells'."

"It's suicide to stay!" Dell hissed. "How do you fight a sea of mountain-sized monsters?"

"With a power that doesn't belong to this world," Rei replied. "A science that can rewrite the laws of the universe. Turning water to steel, or the earth into a hungry void. I just need to find the right thread to pull."

Dell asked "is it really possible"

Rei said "we just have to see"

Rei knew since he could only sense a thumb of the gigantic monster legs he need to focus on a part of quantum mechanics that will help him sense the monsters.

Rei thought "space is something i can use but it lacks in strength since the monsters is able to regenerate itself, the second is the time with it i can walk to the past but I dont know how changing the past will affect my future better not to mess with it, then there is energy capable of incernating any monsters but trying to summon it in large amounts and practicing it here would be a trouble and finally matter capable of making matters out of the world but it will be like a gamble on putting the days to find a matter that can actually work in this specific situation. okay i should choose matter that is the most practical in this scenario"

That night, while Dell's snores filled the room, Rei sat on the floor, his palms turned upward. He couldn't see the world, but he could feel the atoms dancing in the air. He began to reach into the subatomic level, attempting to manifest Exotic Matter.

At first, only sparks of jagged electricity flickered between his fingers. He pushed deeper, shrinking his focus to the microscopic until the sparks vanished from the visible spectrum. For two days, he labored in silence. Then, the air around his hands finally shifted.

A shimmering, silvery mist began to coil around his fingers. It wasn't just gas; it was an "Information Hub." Whatever this silver matter touched, Rei felt it instantly.

Rei thought "how come I am able to enhance my sensing from creating new matters wait, could it be acting as an information hub, since my hand is using electricity to change matters around me the changed matter might in turn send electricity to my hand allowing me to increase my sensing range if so then I can increase my sensing range, okay i will choose matter"

It acted as a decentralized nervous system, extending his "blind" sight far beyond his natural Qi field.

the next day Rei started changing the matter around him, some turned out to be very smelly and black, some crystal like, others having near energy form, but making matter and keeping the matters that way was hard since it require changing electricity at microscopic levels and remembering that change was more harder.

"I can't just create it," Rei realized, his brow drenched in sweat. "I have to stabilize it."

By the third day, Rei moved his training to a secluded clearing outside the city walls. He struggled with the range; his Qi field acted as a tether. If the silver matter drifted too far, it lost its molecular cohesion and vanished.

Dell approached him, carrying a bag of steaming dumplings. "Still stuck?"

"I can't push the field far enough," Rei admitted, taking a dumpling. "The matter only stays stable within my immediate reach."

Dell looked at the bag in his hand and then threw an empty one across the field. "Then why don't you just throw it? Like a seed? Let it spread on its own."

Rei froze, a dumpling halfway to his mouth. "Maybe that will work."

Rei centered himself, his red-and-white cloak fluttering in the wind. He manifested a massive amount of the silver air, compressing it into a dense sphere, and then shattered it outward.

The silver mist exploded, coating the entire field. Suddenly, Rei's mind was flooded with data. He could "see" every blade of grass, every pebble, and the exact position of Dell standing fifty yards away.

"I can sense you, Dell. Everything in this area is mine."

"Then let's see how it handles a fight!" Dell charged, but as he entered the silver mist, he suddenly collapsed, his limbs heavy as lead. "What... I can't move! My energy... it's being sucked out!"

Reo said "what let me check you"

Rei quickly pulled the mist back and went to Dell to check him. "I guess since it's unstable matter. To stay in this world, it has to consume energy. It was eating your energy to keep itself from vanishing."

A cold, calculated plan formed in Rei's mind. For the next five days, he became a mad scientist of the elements.

He created a Black Matter and submerged it in a basin of water.

He buried an Energy-Form Matter deep in the earth.

He kept a Crystal-Form Matter sealed in a lead-lined box.

When he returned to check them, the results were terrifying. The water basin was empty—the Black Matter had consumed every molecule of liquid to stabilize itself, becoming a substance harder than diamond. The earth where the Energy Matter lay had been hollowed out into a perfect, scorched crater.

As Rei approached the crater, his Chaos Scepter began to vibrate violently. Without warning, it acted like a vacuum, pulling the Black Matter and the Energy Matter into its frame.

"No, not yet! It's evolving!" Rei shouted.

The scepter began to elongate, its wood turning into a dark, obsidian-like metal. Rei knew he needed anchors to stabilize this new form. "Dell! Take me to a Krystallite shop. Now!"

They burst into the city's finest gem shop. "I need five High-Grade Krystallites," Rei demanded. "Poison, Ice, Thunder, Metal, and Sound. Now!"

The shopkeeper, terrified by the humming, ominous staff in the boy's hand, fumbled through his vault. As Rei slammed the five gems into the evolving weapon, a violet light blinded everyone in the room.

When the light faded, the Chaos Scepter was gone. In its place was something far more ancient and terrifying.

The handle was curved obsidian etched with pulsating black patterns.

The top featured a massive, triangular blade of purple-black energy.

Opposite the blade, a dark, smoke-like substance constantly drifted in and out of existence.

At the center sat a single, glowing violet core.

Rei scribbled a quick note to the shopkeeper. "Bill the Revolutionaries. They'll pay."

He stepped out into the street, the new scepter humming a low, hungry tune. He was no longer just a survivor. He was the eye of the coming storm.

High above on a laboratory balcony, Researcher Wells watched through a high-powered telescope, his eyes wide with manic glee. "Look at that... a weapon that evolves with its master. Oh, Rei... I can't wait to see it in action, Rei."
