The woman and the doctor lowered their heads immediately.
"Sir."
"Leave us," the man said calmly, though the authority in his tone left no room for delay.

The woman bowed once more before quickly walking out of the room, the sound of her heels fading down the quiet hallway.
The door clicked shut behind her.
Silence returned instantly.
