Despite its usefulness, Larry found the Bloodsucking Wand impractical for himself.
If he needed healing, plenty of Pokemon were available to help with recovery.
Plus, the risk of impairing his mind, and who knew, maybe even turning into some kind of bloodsucking monster, wasn't worth it.
"You can take your time choosing here. I'll wait outside," Netero said, stepping away.
Although the office door was locked, it wasn't good to stay isolated for too long, so he left Larry to decide at his own pace.
Larry was a little surprised by how much Netero trusted him to stay alone, but then he realized it made sense, he wasn't the type to steal anything.
"Okay, I'll come out when I'm done," Larry replied, waving his hand and focusing back on the items.
He didn't notice the subtle, knowing look Netero gave him as he left.
The reason Netero felt confident leaving Larry alone was because he understood his character well, Larry simply wouldn't do anything dishonest.
Another reason is that while these mind tools have various effects, they also come with different side effects.
Compared to Larry's nen beast, Netero didn't think Larry needed to focus too much on these tools.
There was one more reason as well.
Netero glanced at Larry with a faint smile before turning and walking away, leaving Larry alone to observe.
After a moment, Larry looked at the last mind tool and finally made his choice of three mind tools.
"Ding!"
"Pokemon hatched!"
The progress bar in Larry's mind had finally reached the end.
Eager, Larry dove into his mind to see which Pokemon had appeared this time.
The new Pokemon had a feline look, resembling a small domestic cat.
Its fur was light yellow, with the tail and hind paws starting to turn brown.
It had cute pointed ears, two thin whiskers on each cheek, and two small canine teeth poking out from its mouth.
The most noticeable feature was the shiny gold oval coin attached to its forehead.
This coin symbolized the Pokemon's love for shiny things and money.
It was Meowth, the Pokemon known for its fondness for money!
"Meowth?!"
Larry was a bit surprised and couldn't quite figure out why Meowth would hatch here.
'It makes more sense for Meowth to appear in places with lots of money or many cats. Why would this Pokemon be born in a space filled with all sorts of tools?'
Although confused, Larry proceeded to use Constraint and Oath techniques on Meowth one after the other.
Then, he activated his ability to check Meowth's detailed information.
***
Species: Meowth
Type: Normal
Ability: Technician
Strength Rank: Undefined
Known Moves: Scratch, Fake Out, Screech, Fury Swipes...
Description: Meowth is a cunning feline Pokémon known for its agility and mischievous nature. With Technician, its weaker moves hit harder than expected, letting it surprise opponents with sudden bursts of damage.
Though not physically imposing, its sharp claws and crafty tactics make it a persistent nuisance in battle.
Often underestimated, Meowth relies on speed, trickery, and persistence rather than raw strength.

At first glance, everything seemed normal.
But when Larry looked at the details a second time, he noticed two strange things.
First was the characteristic, whether Meowth truly had the "Technician" trait or not was unclear.
Even if no Pokemon had this characteristic before, was this a brand-new trait?
Second was the strength, Meowth's strength was marked as "Undefined," just like Ditto.
Pokemon with this label weren't ordinary at all.
Ditto, for example, could transform into any creature it had seen, and its potential was terrifyingly high.
Not to mention the Shedinja, by merging with it, he basically made himself "immortal."
So why did this seemingly ordinary Meowth show up as "undefined"?
After thinking it over, Larry finally zeroed in on the unique trait called [Technician].
If he wasn't mistaken, the special description of its strength must be tied to this unusual characteristic.
The [Technician] trait means the Pokemon has a very sharp mind and can quickly pick up a lot of knowledge, like learning to speak or walk easily.
Larry was amazed by Pokemon's incredible talent for inventing and modifying items.
With the right raw materials, they could create powerful tools, and this ability went far beyond what he had expected.
After reading the feature description, he couldn't help but feel shocked, this wasn't just a simple skill; it was more like a natural gift.
In fact, this Meowth wasn't an ordinary Pokemon at all.
It was incredibly intelligent, able to learn advanced skills like speaking and walking on two legs easily, and had a knack for inventing and improving gadgets.
It reminded Larry strongly of the Rocket Team's Meowth.
Now it made sense why this particular Meowth had been bred here.
Unlike regular Meowth, this one shared similar traits with the Rocket version, high learning ability and a unique talent for invention.
That also explained the "undefined" strength rating; its power wasn't based on physical ability but on its skill in creating items, which couldn't be measured the usual way.
Larry decided he would definitely train Meowth further to see what new inventions it could come up with.
This discovery was a huge surprise to him, far more valuable than the three objects he had initially chosen.
It was also the first time he had obtained a Pokemon with such original, distinctive traits.
Perhaps the unique environment played a role.
The old man had explained that this place wasn't a typical secret realm or magical domain, but rather a space crafted by humans through divine words and mantras.
That could explain why such an unusual Meowth existed here.
Gathering his thoughts, Larry collected the three items he had picked and left the space.
After a brief shake, he found himself back in the office.
Netero, sitting comfortably on the sofa and sipping tea, asked softly, "Have you made your choice?"
"I have," Larry replied. "I have to say, the things here are really strange and have all sorts of effects."
He sighed, reminded of Greed Island, where there were countless props, but those items only worked on the island itself.
Here, the objects could be used directly, which made them far more practical.
Finally, Larry revealed the three items he had selected.
The first was a simple-looking black flute, but its effect was surprisingly interesting.
The Inverted Flute is a unique instrument that, when played, causes
It causes other creatures who hear it to act in ways completely opposite to their original intentions.
For example, an enemy who wants to attack might suddenly turn around and harm themselves instead, or someone trying to move forward might end up retreating.
Even more bizarre scenarios could happen, like a creature wanting to eat but ending up vomiting or excreting.
However, using the flute demands a huge amount of aura, and its effects impact all creatures nearby except the user, making it risky around allies.
Larry chose this flute mainly out of curiosity and for the fun of testing its strange power, intrigued by the idea of forcing others to do the exact opposite of what they want.
