After Tsunade finished the inspection, she looked at Akemi and said, "Who was in charge of taking care of her?"
Akemi looked at a woman as she heard Tsunade's words, and Tsunade turned her head towards her.
"The medicine you have been feeding her, bring that to me."
When the woman heard Tsunade's words, Tsunade noticed a panicked expression appearing on her face. Tsunade had already noticed a slow-acting poison in the patient's body, but she didn't understand the situation because she knew that this poison would be detected by any Konoha Medical-Nin, meaning she was poisoned after leaving Konoha.
'Besides the poison, I don't sense anything else in her body. Her condition is good, and there is no seal or anything on her body.'
'What do they plan to do? I am sure that any Medical Ninja in Konoha would have noticed that she is in good condition.'
'Then why did Teacher send me this mission?'
As Tsunade thought of this, the woman had brought medicine she had been feeding to the Land of Daimyo's daughter. Looking at the calm look on her face, Tsunade thought of the panicked expression she had seen before, and she understood that some plan was going on.
'I haven't seen what Daimyo's daughter looks like. Is she not her?'
The thought occurred to Tsunade, but she didn't say anything. She just took the medicine, checked it and then said, "Yeah, this has a slow-acting poison in it."
As soon as she said those words, Akemi, who was standing beside the patient, rushed at the woman, and Tsunade, who was paying attention to her, noticed no change in her expression.
'Yup, something is going on for sure. Either they are trying to fool me, or they have planned something big.'
"Before you say something, answer this. She is not Daimyo's daughter, right?"
Akemi, who was about to say something, froze at Tsunade's words. Though she maintained her composure soon, Tsunade noticed this, and a sigh escaped her lips.
"It doesn't matter to me. Give me back that scroll, I am going to meet the Daimyo and get my reward."
Before Akemi could respond, Tsunade appeared beside Akemi, took the scroll she had given before, and left the place after leaving a clone there.
The clone stood beside the patient and leaned against the wall, ignoring the play Akemi and the woman were trying to do.
Outside, the Advisor had informed Land of Fire's Daimyo about the situation. Instead of sending the dancers away or stopping, he waved his hand and said, "You go and handle it; I have to take care of him."
The Advisor looked at the Land of Wind's Daimyo, who was being taken care of by dancers, and he understood what the Land of Fire's Daimyo meant. He gave a bow to the Daimyo and left the room without wasting any time, and while he was going towards the room in which Orochimaru was, he saw a blond-haired woman coming towards him.
The Advisor knew who the woman was and asked, "Lady Tsunade, what brings you here? You done with checking the Land of Wind's Daimyo's daughter?"
"Have you seen her?" Instead of answering his question, Tsunade asked the Advisor about the Daimyo's daughter, and the Advisor looked at her with a strange face.
"Isn't she in her room? The servants told me that you went to check her directly."
"Yeah, that's why I am asking. The girl inside doesn't seem ill, and from what I noticed, she had been fed a poison that would be noticed by any Medical Ninja in the village."
"So, why is she here and why was I called for this mission?"
The Advisor had a confused look on his face as he heard the words. He had no idea of what Tsunade was saying, and looking at his face, Tsunade understood that he didn't know anything.
"Doesn't matter, I will go and speak with Daimyo directly."
"You can't,"
As soon as the Advisor heard the words, he reflected on the situation in the room and quickly urged Tsunade to stop. He was aware that Tsunade disliked that kind of behaviour, and it reminded him of a previous incident when she witnessed how the Daimyo lived daily. After all, Tsunade was a princess, much like the Daimyo's daughter, and only she had the standing to speak as an equal to the Daimyo.
"I have seen Daimyo's daughter. I will come with you. But before that, I have something to talk to Orochimaru-Sama." The Advisor spoke hurriedly, and Tsunade raised her brows at his behaviour. After thinking for a moment, she decided to accept his words since she understood why he was acting in this manner.
"Wretched bastard," Tsunade cursed in a murmur and the Advisor, who heard the words, acted as if he hadn't heard anything. He moved in the direction of the room where Orochimaru stayed, and Tsunade followed him.
It didn't take long for them to reach the room, and Orochimaru stared at the door with a curious face. He had noticed Tsunade's presence outside, and he wondered why she was here. When the Advisor and Tsunade entered the room, Orochimaru and Tsunade's eyes met and noticing Tsunade's annoyed expression, Orochimaru understood that something was going on in the manor.
A chuckle escaped his lips, and he felt that the situation had just gotten even more interesting than before.
"Orochimaru-Sama, I have been asked by Daimyo-Sama to take care of the situation." The Advisor spoke, with some pride evident in his voice, but both Tsunade and Orochimaru knew that the Daimyo was too lazy to bother with the task and had ordered the Advisor to do his duties.
'Wretched bastard!' 'Lazy pig'
Tsunade and Orochimaru thought at the same time, and they both shared a knowing glance.
"Then, Orochimaru-Sama, you can tell more about border conflicts and what you need."
Hearing him, Tsunade raised her brows, and when she saw the look on Orochimaru's face, she understood he was about to scam some funds from Daimyo.
'So that's what he had in his mind.'
Tsunade thought, and she understood why Orochimaru had decided to meet Daimyo.
'This guy leaves no chance to take advantage of situations, huh!'
Orochimaru stared at the Advisor for a moment and then told fake information about border conflicts and exaggerated the current situation.
Tsunade stared at Orochimaru, who gave false information with no change in his expression, and the expression on the Advisor's face showed that he was taking Orochimaru's words seriously.
When they were discussing, or it should be said that when Orochimaru was done explaining the exaggerated situation, he opened his big snake mouth and said, "So, the village requires immediate funding to deploy more ninjas, create traps, renovate bases and make sure that the borders remain in our country's control."
The Advisor looked at Tsunade as he heard the words, and Tsunade knew what she had to do.
"He is right. I am coming directly from a border patrol mission, and I met squads of Iwa, Rain, rogue ninjas, and they somehow know of Land of Daimyo's daughter being here. You should understand what it means, right?"
The expression on the Advisor's face changed as he heard the words. He wasn't stupid and knew that if something happened to Daimyo's daughter in the Land of Fire, all blame would be on Konoha and the Land of Fire's Daimyo, and their lack of security.
"I will arrange as much as I can." The Advisor spoke, and both Tsunade and Orochimaru inwardly grinned as they understood that the funding was secured. As for the amount, both Orochimaru and Tsunade didn't say anything as they knew that the Advisor wouldn't be stingy about this, and even if he was, it was better to have something than have nothing.
"Now, come with me. Orochimaru, you too."
When Tsunade noticed that they didn't have anything else, she spoke, and they looked at her.
The Advisor remembered what Tsunade said before and nodded at her while Orochimaru, who didn't have anything else to do, decided to follow her.
They left the place and moved to the room where the Land of Wind's Daimyo's daughter was supposed to be. Reaching there, they entered the room without wasting any time, and the scene in the room shocked them.
They saw Tsunade's clone sitting on the bed with an annoyed face and three other people in the room, stuck to the wall.
"What happened here?"
The clone dispersed herself, and Tsunade gained the memories of the clone. She rolled her eyes as she got to know about the situation, and it was just as she had thought. The girl whom she had checked was not the daughter of Daimyo but someone else.
"So, what is this all about? Who is she? Where is Daimyo's daughter? Do you all want to die??" The Advisor spoke with a panicked expression as soon as he noticed that the Daimyo's daughter was not in the room.
"She is safe," Akemi replied, since she understood that the situation had gotten out of control. They were just following orders, but they knew that they couldn't say it, or it wouldn't take time for them to be buried.
"Tsunade-Sama, can you let them go?" The Advisor spoke to Tsunade, who nodded and released them from the wall. The trio fell down and then got back to their place. From their expression, it seemed they had no intention of explaining the situation.
Orochimaru and Tsunade looked at each other. They knew they couldn't force them to speak, since they were Daimyo's people, not Suna's, and even if they used an illusion, if caught, it would become problematic for them.
