Chapter 1039 - Chapter 1041 Acquaintances Arrive One After Another

Ethan spent his time searching for suitable worlds and connecting them to the God Country so it could extract their energy. During his breaks, he would occasionally remodel the Tower of Babel or amuse himself by constructing buildings on the largest floating mountain.

At first, Ethan wanted to finish building the God Country in one go and refused to leave until everything was complete.

Later, he realized that the work was extremely troublesome and time-consuming. Gradually, he stopped insisting on staying there the entire time. From time to time, he would return to the Venus to relax for a few days or visit familiar worlds to go on dates with Diana, Ada, and Selene while deepening his relationships with Yoruichi and Bulma.

Meanwhile, Illya, Rin Tohsaka, Leah, and the others finally graduated from Hogwarts. As their teacher, Ethan once again began personally instructing Leah in various subjects, including combat training.

However, her opponents were not Ethan himself, but illusions he created based on certain people he knew.

Although they were called illusions, they possessed genuine offensive power. Anyone who let their guard down because they assumed the attacks could not hurt them would suffer for it, as Illya had learned the hard way.

Besides training, Leah also began frequently returning to her home world, the Dark World, to go on adventures. She could now enter and leave that world freely without being detected by the angels in Heaven because, after so many years of study and reinforcement through specialized potions, all the Demon God power within her body had been converted into nourishment and transformed into the type of energy Leah preferred to use.

This energy had characteristics similar to Holy Light, but it was still very different from the Holy Light of Azeroth. Instead, it was somewhat closer to the Holy Light Ethan wielded.

In addition to this Holy Light-like power, Leah was also a powerful elemental mage capable of easily using various elemental spells. She had a particular talent for lightning and fire, which Ethan believed had also come from Diablo.

Combined with her various powerful pieces of equipment, Ethan was not worried about Leah's safety in that world at all. She would be the one bullying others. Even if several Archangels descended from Heaven, they would not be able to defeat Leah easily.

If Leah ever encountered danger, sending out a distress signal would summon a large group of powerful reinforcements.

After all, everyone liked such a well-behaved, adorable, sensible, and kind child. Even without Ethan's involvement, the crew aboard the ship and Diana, who remained stationed in the DC world, would immediately rush over after receiving the signal.

Perhaps Diana would even bring the Justice League with her, while Uncle Tony Stark would gather the Avengers.

Under those circumstances, the ones who truly needed to worry were the angels of Heaven and the demon lords of Hell.

It would be interesting if Leah suddenly decided to save humanity by tearing down both Heaven and Hell.

In any case, spectators never minded seeing a bigger spectacle, so Ethan simply watched the excitement from the sidelines.

He was too lazy to take action now. His current strength was far too great, and personally dealing with those people would feel like bullying. Unless they directly provoked him, he could not be bothered to lift a finger.

Instead of wasting time on them, he would rather focus on making the God Country more comfortable.

As time passed, dispersed energy finally began appearing around the God Country's core. Although it had not yet reached the dense consistency of the Source Sea in the Main God world, this development meant that the most basic accumulation process was complete. From now on, the core could automatically gather energy without his intervention.

Ethan began spending more time constructing houses. At the same time, he completed the connection between the God Country and the teleportation devices aboard the Venus, allowing everyone to travel there through the ship.

He placed the teleportation point at the center of a plaza surrounded by various buildings. Although the buildings had different outward appearances, their exact purposes had not yet been decided.

Even if he later found some of them unsuitable, he could easily make adjustments. For now, constructing various buildings was simply convenient for planning the area.

He placed his own residence at the highest point of the entire town. A little farther uphill was the snow-covered region, and from his home, he could easily overlook the entire residential district.

"Looks good."

Diana had not had much to do recently. Earth in her world was peaceful, and Superman's appearance had greatly reduced the pressure on her. Superman, Batman, and the Flash eagerly handled all the minor matters. As long as Earth was not attacked by someone as powerful as Darkseid, she could be lazy and stay out of it.

Moreover, Ethan had recently visited her to relax and mentioned that construction of the God Country was progressing smoothly and that the transportation problem had been solved. Diana therefore decided to come and take a look.

Although she would continue living on Earth in the DC Universe for many years, her future home would undoubtedly be here.

People inspected a new house to see whether they liked it. Naturally, they would be even more particular about a new home where they would live for countless years.

After touring the area, Diana was very satisfied with the environment. As for whether living atop a high floating mountain would be inconvenient, that was no problem for someone who could fly.

The real difficulty was for the companions who had not yet learned how to fly. Flight had now become a skill that everyone needed to master.

Everyone had already learned how to manipulate and control energy. Ethan only needed to make slight modifications to the Sky Dance technique to ensure that everyone aboard the ship could master flight.

In addition, Ethan was also improving the teleportation facility. This time, it was not a device like the one aboard the ship that anyone could use, but a teleportation Circle that required a certain level of ability to operate.

It was essentially a physical version of the space-time orb he had once used. He placed the Circle on a floating stone platform that contained nothing else besides several decorative buildings.

The Circle's destination was the boundless starry sky above, where each point of starlight represented a world. Besides locking onto specific worlds, it could also perform random teleportation.

In the future, the companions living here could still travel to any world they wished. They would not become like the gods of myths and legends, who grew bored after living for hundreds or thousands of years and could do nothing but fight among themselves.

"Speaking of bored gods fighting among themselves, I remember that world you mentioned before."

"Which one?"

Ethan had mentioned far too many worlds, so he genuinely did not know which one Diana meant.

"Wasn't that world the reason you created all those Saint Cloths?"

"Oh, that world."

Athena and Hades made their subordinates fight every two hundred years or so, claiming that it was for the sake of protecting Earth and humanity. Yet after so many battles, Athena had never revealed her true body and always reincarnated for each Holy War.

Hades had initially used his true body, but later began reincarnating as well. This meant that the absurd Holy War could never truly end. Although in the final battle, the reincarnated Athena pierced Hades' true body with her staff, it was uncertain whether she had truly killed the King of the Underworld.

"You want to go there and take a look?"

"Yes!"

Diana shrugged. She had been quite bored lately. After spending so much time with Ethan, she was no longer the same woman from the original story who could quietly live among ordinary people. After remaining peaceful for too long, she also wanted to stir up some trouble.

"Speaking of which, that goddess should count as my older sister, shouldn't she?"

"Hmm, I suppose she would be your older sister."

Ethan had only made a casual remark when he suddenly felt something clamp around his ear, followed by warm breath brushing against it.

"You're not thinking about sisters or anything like that, are you?"

"Hahaha, of course not!"

Ethan waved his right hand so quickly that it left a series of afterimages, making it look as though he had an entire row of hands.

Diana snorted softly, but ultimately said nothing more.

She had met Yoruichi and Bulma before. Personally, she could not bring herself to like them, nor could she become close friends with them.

Forget those two, even her relationships with Selene and Ada were not particularly good. However, all of them were intelligent women who tried to avoid meeting one another whenever possible. Even when they had something to discuss, they would not meet alone, so there had been no conflicts over the years.

She did not know what the future would be like. Once the God Country was fully completed, everyone would undoubtedly move there, and they might see one another far more often than before.

Just thinking about it made her upset. What would happen if Ethan continued bringing more women back to the God Country?

Ethan could sense her concern. He truly had no intention of bringing back any more women. As his strength and realm continued to rise, his future visits to unfamiliar worlds would mostly be for relaxation or to witness their stories firsthand.

Changing the plot would merely be something he did in passing. Once someone stood at too great a height, there was very little interaction to be had with many ordinary people, and they lacked enough common ground.

Under those circumstances, forget developing a romantic relationship. Even becoming ordinary friends would be difficult.

Not only would Ethan stop bringing women back, but he would also generally stop bringing newcomers into the God Country altogether. Its future population growth would come from two sources. One was the believers drawn in through the temples Imhotep had established across various worlds. The other was the people Ethan had interacted with in the past and marked.

For example, Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth Swann, Cain, Eirena, Xul, and others.

Just as Ethan was recalling these old friends, Nagini, who had been living in Ethan's Heaven for some time, currently located within the sun of the God Country, and had successfully evolved into an angel, suddenly brought a phantom before him.

Ethan laughed as soon as he saw the figure.

"Oh, so you finally partied yourself to death!"

The captivating smoky eye makeup, tattered clothing, and flirtatious posture could only belong to Jack Sparrow.

Judging from his current appearance, the man had clearly died, and his soul had come to report to Ethan.

As time passed, Jack would not be the last. Those old friends would gradually arrive one after another.
