It was just a snap. Why would he need to build a special gauntlet? Not to mention having the Infinity Stones in his hand, even if Ethan snapped his fingers barehanded, he could resurrect those who had been turned to dust by the Infinity Stones.
In that case, however, he would have to use his own divine power, which would be too taxing. Using the Infinity Stones was much easier. He only needed to trigger the power of the Infinity Stones themselves and then withstand the backlash when the Infinity Stones released their energy. That backlash was practically nothing to him.
"What did you say? They've already been resurrected?"
Ethan spread his hands and nodded.
"I wouldn't joke about something like this!"
The Avengers exchanged glances. Just then, Hawkeye Clint's phone rang.
As if he had a premonition, Hawkeye tremblingly took out his phone. Seeing the caller ID, he could no longer control himself and burst into tears.
The next second, a golden portal appeared on the lawn of the Avengers Compound. Members of the Guardians of the Galaxy who had fought alongside Tony Stark on Titan, Doctor Strange, Stephen Strange, and Spider-Man, Peter Parker, walked out of the portal one after another.
Doctor Strange first glanced at Ethan and Tony not far away, then looked at this world's Tony Stark and let out a long breath.
"You succeeded."
"Yes."
Tony Stark looked at Doctor Strange. Back then, Strange had voluntarily handed over the Time Stone in exchange for his survival, and not long after that, Tony had personally witnessed one comrade after another turn to dust, including the young Peter Parker.
From that moment on, he had been constantly blaming himself. Only now, with the return of the little guy who never knew when to stop talking, did the heavy stone in his heart finally lift.
"Mr. Stark."
Spider-Man Peter Parker was still looking confused. He had no idea what was going on. He only felt as if he had closed his eyes, opened them again, and then Doctor Strange told him, "Five years have passed!"
He did not feel anything at all! What exactly was going on?
He was not the only one who wanted to know what was happening. The members of the Guardians of the Galaxy also wanted to know what had happened. Fortunately, there was a survivor in their group. Rocket Raccoon explained the situation to them while teasing everyone, and with Nebula confirming it, they quickly understood what had happened.
When he heard that Ethan had resurrected all the lives killed by Thanos with a snap, Peter Quill suddenly thought of something.
"What about Gamora? Gamora was resurrected too, right?"
"Uh..."
Rocket Raccoon could not answer the question and could only turn his head to look at Ethan.
Before Ethan could answer, Thor, who knew the plot, and Captain America Steve spoke first.
"Gamora was killed by Thanos as a sacrifice to obtain the Soul Stone. I'm afraid there's no way to resurrect her..."
They had all seen the movie Ethan had played and knew that the power of the Infinity Stones could not resurrect sacrifices for the Soul Stone. Natasha was supposed to sacrifice herself because of this, but now she had avoided that ordeal.
Peter Quill looked disbelieving and turned to Ethan, because this person was holding the Infinity Stones, and he had also learned from Rocket Raccoon how powerful this person was.
"You're so powerful. You can resurrect Gamora, right?"
Seeing Quill's appearance, everyone could not bear to dampen his hopes, but none of them thought Ethan could resurrect Gamora.
To their surprise, Ethan simply nodded.
"That's right. I can resurrect Gamora."
"Huh?"
"What?"
Peter Quill was startled at first, then became very excited.
"You really can? You're not lying to me, are you?"
"No!"
Ethan gently raised his hand and created a transparent barrier, preventing Quill from touching him in his overly excited state.
"Don't get excited."
After stopping Quill, Doctor Strange also walked over.
"Although this is impolite, I must take back the Time Stone."
"I know, but please wait a moment."
As the Sorcerer Supreme and guardian of the Time Stone, Doctor Strange had to reclaim it. Although he knew the person before him was an extremely powerful being, he could not shirk his responsibility.
Fortunately, this powerful being was quite easy to talk to.
Seeing that no one was disturbing him anymore, everyone was staring at Ethan with wide eyes, wanting to know how he planned to resurrect Gamora.
However, there was no grand spectacle. Ethan opened his left hand, which was holding the Infinity Stones, and the six Stones, arranged in a ring, began to rotate, becoming five Stones revolving around the Soul Stone.
Ethan extended his right hand and gently swept it over the Stones, then pointed to an empty spot nearby. Everyone immediately saw a phantom image shoot out from the Stones, land on the empty ground, and slowly condense into a human figure.
This figure had green skin and was clearly not an Earthling. Seeing Peter Quill's excited reaction, they knew this person was Gamora.
Seeing Quill immediately prepare to rush forward, before Ethan could speak, Doctor Strange next to him had already stopped him.
"Wait, the spell isn't finished yet. Don't disturb him right now."
Peter Quill glanced at Doctor Strange and saw him holding up a finger to signal him to be quiet. He suppressed his excitement and the questions filling his stomach, obediently standing by and watching Ethan's performance.
Anyone could see that this Gamora was not alive, because she was only a translucent phantom, looking more like a legendary ghost or spirit.
As Ethan waved his hand, a large area of golden light scattered, interspersed with several flashes of light from the Infinity Stones that nearly blinded everyone present. Everyone could not help but rub their eyes repeatedly.
By the time they could see clearly again, Ethan had returned to his posture of holding the six Infinity Stones in one hand, with his right hand in his pocket.
The semi-transparent figure had returned to being a normal person. Gamora was looking down at herself, completely bewildered. She had no idea what was happening. Her last memory was being thrown off the cliff by Thanos.
"Gamora!"
Peter Quill held back, held back, and when he saw Doctor Strange nod, he finally could not hold back anymore and rushed straight over. Then, startled, Gamora immediately delivered a critical kick.
"Ow!"
"Hiss!"
All the men who had just recovered their vision drew in a sharp breath. Even just looking at it felt painful. Quill, with his legs squeezed together, fell directly to the ground, wanting to say something but unable to speak.
Ethan glanced over. Gamora was gradually figuring out the situation around her, and Nebula had also come over to explain things to her. As for Peter Quill, who told him to rush over so eagerly when Gamora's mind was still a bit confused? That was just an instinctive reaction.
However, this guy could still laugh through the pain. That was true love!
Peter Quill, half-lying on the ground, choked out a thank you to Ethan. Seeing him being so sensible, Ethan casually cast a healing spell on him to relieve his pain. At the same time, he raised his left hand, and the green Time Stone flew out of his grasp.
Doctor Strange took the green Stone that floated in front of him and also sincerely thanked Ethan.
"No need for such formality."
"Yes, there is. I know that if you weren't willing, this place would be a different scene."
Doctor Strange had peered into various future possibilities through the Time Stone. Under normal circumstances, there was only one future that could save the world. On that timeline, this base would be bombed into ruins by Thanos from a parallel universe, and the Avengers would have to eliminate this parallel dimension invader to achieve true victory.
However, while peering into the future, he had unexpectedly perceived another possibility. But entering this timeline did not depend on what they did, but on the will of the powerful being before him.
If Ethan were unwilling and simply ignored their world, then they would only be able to head toward that one and only possibility.
"Just consider me relatively free lately."
Doctor Strange did not continue chatting with Ethan, as he had already noticed Thor walking over.
"What is it?" Seeing Thor's expression, looking like he wanted to say something but was hesitant, Ethan directly said it for him. "You want me to help you resurrect Loki?"
"Yes!"
Actually, Thor did not know whether he should ask, but he did not expect Ethan to not mind such things at all.
"That's simple... How about I resurrect Heimdall too while I'm at it? As for the other Asgardians, I'm afraid I can't help you. There are too many people, and I don't know them."
"I'm already very satisfied with this."
Thor smiled, sincerely expressing his gratitude to Ethan once again, and made a promise that if Ethan ever needed help, he would not hesitate even if it meant sacrificing his life.
"You're handing out benefits like crazy!"
Watching Ethan resurrect Loki and Heimdall, Tony, who had come with him, could not help but complain as he saw Ethan generously distributing benefits.
Ethan, however, did not feel there was anything wrong with what he was doing. He came over precisely because he did not like that ending. Since it was going to be a happy ending anyway, why not make it complete? Why leave one or two regrets just to seem profound? He was not that sentimental.
"You didn't like that ending either."
"You're right. This is much better."
Watching everyone laughing and chatting happily, Tony nudged Ethan slightly and subtly pointed at Captain America.
"How are you going to deal with this guy?"
"Steve, huh..."
Ethan stroked his chin. This guy was actually struggling over whether or not to abandon his responsibilities and live selfishly for himself for once. Regarding this, Ethan's advice was always the same.
"As long as you're not harming others, of course you should do whatever makes you happy."
This Steve was different from the one he knew. He had never let go of the past, and what he wanted most was to fulfill that missed promise.
"How about I create a separate timeline for him to make up for his regret?"
"Huh? There's such a move?"
