Chapter 765 - Chapter 766: Shoots

Ethan turned around and left the room, not paying much attention to the two people behind him. They seemed to want to talk to him about something, but since Ethan wasn't on the same wavelength as them, it was better to leave than to awkwardly refuse them to their faces.

Fortunately, both of them had enough emotional intelligence. Ethan's action of turning away made them understand, and they didn't stubbornly chase after him or call out. Instead, they waited until Ethan had gone before walking out of the newcomer classroom and choosing a completely different direction.

Ethan only stopped once he felt the two were far enough away. He glanced back at the newcomer classroom. Like the previous door, it was covered in a layer of energy, preventing people from seeing or touching it.

Withdrawing his gaze, Ethan continued walking down the street, occasionally stopping to check the newcomer manual on his wristband. It provided an introduction to most of the common knowledge about the Main God Space and was neatly categorized for easy access.

He could also view the map. Ethan learned that this Main God Space was divided into two main zones: the public area and the private area.

He was currently in the public area, while the private area was where Reincarnators lived.

Newcomers like him, who had just received their wristbands and become Reincarnators, did not yet have personal residences. These would only be assigned after completing the first mission and returning.

The allocated residences were typically the lowest grade, resembling ordinary apartment buildings from the outside, with each room being a separate residence.

Even the facilities inside only provided basic living needs. If you wanted anything better, you had to spend points to buy it.

After reading everything, Ethan realized that living comfortably in this Main God Space was simple: as long as you had enough points, you could enjoy anything.

No points? Then there was nothing to talk about.

Because living here required spending points, this Main God Space—apart from the first day when newcomers arrive and must enter their first mission world afterward—did not enforce any mandatory time limit for Reincarnators to undertake missions.

In other words, you could spend all your points before starting the next mission, or take on missions one after another.

Ethan thought this setup was reasonable. However, now wasn't the time to evaluate someone else's Main God Space. He found the Exchange Area in the public section on the map. This was the location where one could connect directly to the Main God.

On the way there, because his wristband clearly marked him as a newcomer, many people tried to sell him gear or trick him into joining their teams. Ethan ignored them all. Even without the veteran's warning, he could sense the malicious intent behind these people's smiles.

His act of ignoring them also provoked dissatisfaction, with some even threatening him. To that, Ethan simply responded with a "Hehe" and continued walking.

He found the Exchange Area. This place was interesting. It looked like a small building, but Ethan could sense that countless small spaces were stacked within.

This meant that every Reincarnator who entered through the front door was sent to a completely different, individual space. It seemed designed to protect each Reincarnator's personal information.

Ethan observed the spatial folding technique used here. As a master of space, he quickly absorbed and integrated this method into his own understanding before stepping inside.

"It's not a big light sphere."

The room was extremely simple, with almost nothing inside except a cylindrical object standing in the center. According to the newcomer manual, Ethan knew that by placing his hand on top of the cylinder, he could open the exchange list.

But Ethan wasn't here just to look at the exchange list. He wanted to try probing the other party's situation through this object, or rather, test the other party's strength.

If Ethan could probe their background without alerting the Main God, things would be simple. He'd go straight over and beat them up.

If he was detected... Ethan considered whether to run immediately or hide in a mission world for a while before trying again.

Unexpectedly, Ethan quickly found the other party's location through the exchange system. He could even see the other party's situation clearly using his divine sense:

An adorable little boy was happily playing a game similar to Lego. But Ethan could tell that the boy was actually creating a new world, just using this method to make the process more fun.

Each block in his hand was formed from rules and energy. These weren't ordinary shaped blocks. They were materialized based on different laws, energy attributes, and his own control precision, all combined together. Figuring out how to fit these blocks, which weren't even uniform shapes, was what gave the boy a headache.

Of course, if his control over energy, laws, and himself reached a high enough level, the blocks would naturally take whatever shape he wanted. The speed and ease of world creation would also increase greatly.

Judging from the boy's current situation, he was clearly still far from that level.

"What the heck..."

Ethan wanted to curse, and he wanted to do so in every language he knew for three days straight.

What frustrated him most was that he didn't even know who he should be cursing.

After thinking for a while, Ethan decided to meet the boy in person. Maybe he just looked like a child, the way Ethan had in the past.

Locking onto the location, Ethan stepped forward, tearing through the void and arriving at the core of this Main God Space, where the boy was playing with blocks.

Looking around, the surroundings were all void, but from here, he could see the full layout of this Main God Space and its countless subordinate planes. As for the ground, only about a hundred square meters underfoot could be called solid. The boy noticed Ethan as soon as he appeared.

"Who are you?"

Putting down the blocks in his hand, the boy stood up and adopted a defensive posture.

This actually made Ethan feel relieved. Judging by his response, he wasn't truly a child. At least his mind seemed fairly mature.

"You're the Main God here?"

The boy didn't answer. He continued to watch Ethan warily. After a moment, he relaxed and dispersed the energy gathered in his hands.

"Do you need something from me?"

He had sensed the divine aura on Ethan. Perhaps due to the convention that Main Gods rarely engage in direct conflict—and because Main Gods are nearly impossible to kill—he retracted his power. That energy had originally been intended to kill low-level beings who dared to intrude. Against another god-level entity, conversation was the preferred approach.

"Your Reincarnators previously trespassed into my world."

The boy blinked, then quietly thought for a moment before responding.

"So you came?"

"Huh?"

The boy still looked at Ethan with a cute expression, but Ethan suddenly felt a trace of disdain in his gaze.

"You came here just so I could see you, right?"

Ethan narrowed his eyes. He suddenly realized he had underestimated the situation. This kid's personality was not very likable.

"Although I don't know which world it is, since my Reincarnators discovered it, it belongs to me now."

The boy crossed his arms and floated into the air, looking down at Ethan.

"Leave the world behind and go back."

Ethan sighed. The whole situation had taken so many unexpected turns that he suddenly felt a little tired.

"Your Reincarnators casually barged into my world, and now you're telling me to hand it over to you?"

"What? Is there a problem with that?"

The boy's tone was completely serious, as if this was perfectly natural. If Ethan hadn't heard from Madeline about the ways of Main Gods, he might have assumed this was some kind of rule all gods followed.

But since he knew it wasn't, he started wondering how this kid developed such a mindset. A light bulb went off in Ethan's mind.

Could this guy be a second-generation god?

The boy saw that Ethan wasn't responding and wasn't giving up the world either, so he grew impatient.

"What are you waiting for?"

"I'm waiting for you to apologize."

"Huh?"

Seeing his reaction, Ethan knew this kid would never apologize. But even so, the boy's reaction was more exaggerated than expected.

"Apologize? Are you kidding me? To trash as lowly as you..."

Ethan had been wondering whether or not to make a move. Up until now, the kid had just seemed ignorant. Beating him up felt a bit too much.

But once the brat started talking trash, Ethan had no more doubts. Some kids just needed to be taught a lesson.

With a wave of his hand, he fired a magic missile. The boy caught it.

"You actually dare to attack?"

He clenched his fist and crushed the watermelon-sized magic missile. But before he could react, his vision spun, and he suddenly felt completely restrained. His entire body was locked in place.

Immediately after, a series of cracking sounds rang out from behind him, accompanied by pain that pierced his very soul.

A Main God-level body wouldn't be easily injured. The reason Ethan's beatdown worked was because he used the nearly completed world the kid had been building as a weapon—that's right, Ethan was beating him with a world.

(To be continued.)
