Just as Ella had promised, she spoke with her father's medical team about having everyone around. "Would having a few more people in the house be too much for him?" she had asked.
The doctor shook his head. "Not at all. In fact, being around people will actually help him mentally. We just need to make sure he gets enough rest, so his activities will have to be kept to a minimum."
Ella nodded. "Understood. Thank you."
She immediately sent Alexander a text, letting him know that Henry and Carlton could join them. Cassandra also asked for her bags to be brought over. The following morning, Alexander, Henry, and Carlton arrived at the Thompson residence, just a few minutes before breakfast.
The moment Henry spotted Ella, he walked straight past everyone and pulled her into a tight, almost crushing hug.
"I knew you'd be fine," he murmured.
Ella's arms remained loosely around him as she laughed. "You're crushing me."
