Meanwhile, in Country G, Alexander quietly stepped out of Ella's ward after receiving a message from Matteo. The door quietly clicked shut behind him to avoid waking Ella up.
He then called Matteo. "Matteo."
"Sir." Alexander immediately noticed the tension in his voice. "Something happened at the Thompson estate."
Alexander's eyes narrowed.
Two days ago, Matteo had reported unusual activity around Eric Thompson's residence. Their men suspected someone was being held there against their will, but without infiltrating the property, they hadn't been able to identify who it was.
"What happened?" Alexander asked.
"About an hour and a half ago, Emily Thompson and her mother arrived at the estate." Matteo reported as Alexander leaned against the corridor wall.
"And?"
"After they entered, two ambulances and a police vehicle arrived at the residence."
Alexander frowned. "Continue."
