Chapter 24 Two Plans
Before long, the six steaming bowls of ramen were brought over.
Yoruha turned to look at Kakashi.
Kakashi asked in confusion, "Why are you staring at me? Hurry up and eat."
Yoruha said nothing.
It didn't take long for Kakashi to realize what Yoruha was thinking.
He looked speechless. "So you're that bored too, huh?"
He knew Yoruha wanted to see what he really looked like under the mask.
Yoruha smiled. "I'm curious."
Even though Kakashi was definitely handsome, Yoruha really wanted to know exactly how handsome—handsome enough to leave Teuchi and Ayame starry-eyed after seeing him.
Kakashi shook his head and could only slowly remove his mask, revealing his true face.
When Yoruha saw what Kakashi really looked like, even he froze for a moment.
"Kakashi-sensei, Kakashi... no wonder you wear a mask. Otherwise all the girls in Konohagakure would be blocking your front door."
Kakashi really was handsome, and Yoruha knew exactly how lethal that kind of face was to girls.
Sure enough, after seeing Kakashi's real face, Teuchi and Ayame were already gazing at him with hearts in their eyes.
Kakashi shook his head and began eating his ramen.
"Hurry up and eat."
Yoruha didn't say anything more and started eating too.
But just as he was halfway through, several more people came in.
At first Yoruha didn't pay attention, but the newcomers immediately shouted when they saw Kakashi, startling Yoruha so badly that he nearly drew a Kunai and prepared for battle.
"Yo, Kakashi, didn't expect to find you here."
Yoruha looked at the newcomer and felt a headache coming on.
Kakashi felt the same. Looking at the man in front of him, dressed head to toe in a tight green jumpsuit and speaking with a gleaming row of blindingly white teeth, he said helplessly, "Guy."
The newcomer was none other than Guy.
Behind him were his three students: Hyuga Neji, Rock Lee, and Tenten.
And the moment he came in, Neji's eyes never left Yoruha.
What Yoruha didn't know was that Neji had noticed him the instant he entered.
Because Yoruha gave him a very strong sense of threat.
He had the distinct feeling that the person before him could threaten him.
It was something he had never felt from anyone his own age before.
Guy sat down familiarly beside Kakashi, and Neji's group of three sat down beside Yoruha as well.
After sitting down, Guy also noticed Yoruha's presence.
He looked at Kakashi, surprised. "Kakashi, is this your student?"
Because Guy had been out on missions before, he didn't know who Kakashi's students were.
Kakashi paused, then nodded. "Yes."
Guy didn't notice the look on Kakashi's face. Hearing that Yoruha was Kakashi's student, he immediately laughed. "Kakashi, your student looks full of youthful vigor. Want to come learn taijutsu from me?"
The corner of Kakashi's mouth twitched.
"No need. I'll teach him myself."
Guy burst out laughing. He was naturally only saying it in passing.
Of course, if Yoruha really wanted to learn from him, he would teach him.
There were very few taijutsu ninja in the shinobi world, and he'd naturally be happy to have one more.
And if it was Kakashi's student, then if Yoruha learned from Guy, wouldn't that mean Guy had beaten Kakashi in that area?
Guy was always happy to beat Kakashi at something.
Sitting beside Yoruha, Tenten looked at him curiously.
"Hi, I'm Tenten. So you're Kakashi-sensei's student?"
"Hi, I'm Yoruha."
Seeing Tenten greet Yoruha, Rock Lee and Neji came over too.
"My name is Rock Lee, Guy-sensei's student, a ninja determined to defeat geniuses."
After saying that, Rock Lee flashed a row of gleaming white teeth.
He looked exactly like Guy, and Yoruha felt a little awkward looking at him.
Neji, meanwhile, said calmly, "My name is Hyuga Neji. I think there's something different about you."
Neji spoke bluntly.
Yoruha gave him a very unusual feeling.
Yoruha didn't respond directly and only laughed it off. "Really?"
Seeing Neji's solemn expression, Kakashi quickly said, "Guy, enough chatting. Hurry up and order. The owner has been standing there forever."
Guy didn't think much of it and started ordering.
Kakashi looked at Yoruha. "Hurry up and eat."
Yoruha knew what Kakashi was worried about.
Neji had the Byakugan. If he used it to examine Yoruha's body, he would absolutely discover the enormous and highly abnormal amount of Chakra inside him.
Yoruha nodded and quickly finished all three bowls of ramen.
After eating, Kakashi pulled Yoruha out of Ichiraku Ramen.
Guy didn't notice.
But Neji had become interested in Yoruha.
The feeling Yoruha gave him was completely different from that of anyone else his age.
He wouldn't mistake that very real sense of threat.
After leaving Ichiraku Ramen, Kakashi and Yoruha walked down the street. Kakashi said, "Neji noticed you just now. Did you feel it?"
Yoruha nodded.
"His attention was on me the whole time. Kind of strange."
Kakashi sighed. "Neji was the top student of the previous class, and he also has the Byakugan."
"Over this past year, his strength has already reached the level of a Chunin."
"He's developed a ninja's instincts."
Yoruha nodded. "I've definitely heard of him. Back at the Ninja Academy, he was very famous."
Yoruha had gone to the same school as Neji for five years.
Because Neji was one year above him.
The Ninja Academy was a six-year program.
It was just that before, Yoruha truly had mediocre aptitude, and on top of that he had deliberately kept his own presence very low.
So Neji had never paid much attention to him.
Kakashi looked at Yoruha. "If he learns you have enormous Chakra inside you, it'll be troublesome."
"That guy Guy is a blabbermouth. There's no way your situation would stay hidden."
That was also why, even though Guy had begged the Third Hokage to let him enter the Anbu, the Third Hokage had refused to take him.
He was suited to straightforward missions. As for missions involving secrecy, he generally wasn't assigned to them.
Yoruha nodded. "I can tell."
"But the way you hurried me out just now, Neji probably couldn't help but notice even if he wanted to."
Kakashi said helplessly, "Couldn't be helped. If we'd stayed any longer, I was worried Neji really would activate the Byakugan."
Yoruha smiled. "Actually, even if he did find out, it wouldn't be a big deal. With Neji's personality, I don't think he'd casually spread it around."
Kakashi nodded. "With his personality, that's probably true. But just in case, it's better to be careful."
Soon, the two arrived at the back mountain of Konohagakure.
Beside the lake beneath the waterfall.
Kakashi stood in front of Yoruha and said seriously, "I have two plans, and I want you to choose which one yourself."
Yoruha looked at Kakashi. "Please go ahead."
"The first plan is that I'll directly teach you a high-difficulty ninjutsu and raise your current strength to a very high level."
"The second plan is that I'll start by teaching you basic ninjutsu, then gradually increase the difficulty afterward."
After speaking, Kakashi silently watched Yoruha.
Yoruha thought for a while, then raised his head and said calmly, "I choose the first plan."
Yoruha had thought Kakashi would be unhappy.
Unexpectedly, Kakashi wasn't angry at all. Instead, he smiled. "Just as I expected, you'd definitely choose the first one."
"Actually, I was hoping you'd choose the first plan too."
"After all, you're different from ordinary people. If I treated you the same way I treat ordinary people, it would be bad for you instead."
