As soon as Elia reached the villa, she rushed to her room and locked the door behind her. Then she dialed Lena's number and waited.
"Hello?"
"Lena?" Elia let out a breath she didn't even know she had been holding.
"What's wrong?" Lena immediately recognised the panic in Elia's voice. Thousands of things ran through her mind, but before she could come to any conclusion, Elia said.
"The Donovans know about you." Elia was beyond guilty, even though she wasn't the one who told them about this. But she felt some responsibility for it, since Eros only found out about Lena while he was investigating Elia.
Lena, on the other hand, felt like she was already dead. The Donovans hated her kind with every fibre of their being. Her existence alone might prompt them to hunt her down.
"I'm so sorry, Lena," Elia begged forgiveness. "This is all my fault; they wouldn't have known about you if not for me. I'm truly very sorry"
"How did they find out?" Lena asked in a hurry.
