In the nether realm, Nova and Kairi returned to Kigen as Jade was leaning against the wall with a concerned look on her face. Nova grabbed her shoulder while saying, "Jade, what's bothering you?" Jade let out a sigh as she rubbed the back of her head. Jade started walking while saying, "Have you seen Testarossa anywhere?" Nova and Kairi both shook their heads. Kairi said, "What's going on? You seem to be worried." Jade spoke in a worrying tone. "After the battle, Testarossa has been struggling to control her aura; it was constantly burning everything around her. It got to a point where I couldn't even touch her without being burnt." The last time I saw her she was talking with Maria" Nova grabbed Jade's hand then smiled saying "it will be okay Jade we saw Maria few hours ago we will ask her if she has seen Testarossa" Jade Smiled towards Nova as it felt like a weight has been lifted from her chest, One of the Kigen Soldiers walked up to the three of them and told them to head to the meeting room. Nova, Kairi and Jade quickly ran into the room. Watanabe, Nezha, Maria, Selena and Kaya were all gathered around the room. Watanabe slammed his hand on the table then said, "I felt a massive amount of magic coming from the human realm; it was so strong it split the sky in this realm. We must act soon." Nezha closed his eyes and then started to go over every possibility inside his mind. Nezha's mind was like a large space covered in thick darkness. A projection of himself started walking through the space as multiple scenarios played out before him. Nezha started to look deeper into the scenarios, but then he saw a projection of Shiki. Her hands were leaking a massive amount of black magic. Nezha realised that she had completed the grand trials; he quickly opened his eyes and said, 'Shiki has completed something called the grand trials. The power you felt earlier Watanabe was from the new spell she obtained. They were all shocked from what Nezha told them. Suddenly a demonic voice spoke directly into Nezha's head: "My lord, incoming." Swiftly Nezha summoned Beelzebub as multiple magic arrows smashed through the meeting room. Beelzebub reacted quickly and devoured the arrows. Watanabe put on his mask then said, 'They're here; we must get Kaya far away from here.' Jade, Maria and Nezha, I want you to deal with that archer. Nova and Kairi, escort Kaya out of this realm. I will send some soldiers with you. I will join you once I'm ready. Now everyone go." Jade and Maria jumped out of the window and started heading towards the incoming arrows. Nezha looked at Watanabe and said, "Don't order me around; I'm not one of your soldiers." Nezha jumped out the window and followed Jade and Maria. Nova, Kairi and Kaya swiftly ran out of the room as a group of Kigen soldiers followed them. Kairi ran up and saw demons killing the Kigen soldiers. She drew her wrist blades and began cutting through the demons. She yelled at the top of her lungs. "OUT OF MY WAY!" Nova and Kaya caught up to Kairi, but before they could catch their breath, a massive blood spear came crashing through the nearby window. It pierced Kairi's arm and pinned her against the wall. Nova had a worried expression on her face. She tried to remove the blood spear, but then from the distance they heard a screeching sound; it was like someone was dragging a sword across the ground. Kaya had a nervous look on her face. She said, "She's here." Melty emerged from the distance as Nova pushed Kaya and said, "RUN." Nova created an ice spear and then dashed towards Melty. Nova jumped in the air, trying to stab Melty with her spear, but then Nova's spear was shattered. Her eyes widened as Melty was holding a long, unique-looking sword. She grabbed Nova's arm and then swiftly slammed it on top of the blood spear that pierced Kairi's arm. She started to scream in pain, but Melty walked past her and appeared in front of Kaya. She tried to summon Iyasu, but Melty grabbed her by the neck and slammed her into the wall. Kaya tried to break free of Melty's grip, but her strength was leaving her body. She said, "S-I-S-T-E-R W-H-Y?" Melty slammed Kaya into the wall harder while squeezing tightly on her neck. She said, "Sister, you haven't changed at all, still relying on your swordplay over your magic. How predictable! You should have mastered your blood magic by now, but you still haven't. Now I will take that dammed river's power from you." Blood tendrils appeared from Melty's fingertips; they pierced through Kaya's neck and started spreading throughout her nerves. Melty smiled and said, "This spell is called Blood prey. It takes great preparation to use this spell, and I did it all for you, my sister." Kaya started screaming in pain as the Melty forced the blood vessels to spread all across her body. Melty then squeezed tighter on her neck; the blood vessels started being drained from Kaya's body. They began to flow into Melty's body as the gems in her arm started to glow rapidly until her arm shone bright red. Melty's body started to be covered in blood veins. Kaya's body was completely drained from the river of the Damned's power. Melty released Kaya; she dropped to the ground, struggling to breathe. Melty lifted her sword up and said, "This is goodbye, Kaya," but before she could finish, Kaya – a massive white light blasted Melty as Watanabe rushed towards them. He began firing multiple blasts towards Melty; she swiftly jumped out the window to avoid his attacks. Watanabe didn't follow her; he walked up to Nova and Kairi and pulled out the blood spear as they stood up. Nova said, "What should we do now?" Watanabe crouched down and picked up Kaya, then said, "Let's regroup with the others." Watanabe, Nova and Kairi all headed towards Jade's location.
