As for changing cars, Ichin himself wasn't particularly concerned about it. He was already used to his current car, and it had been well maintained, so there was really no need to replace it.
However, according to Haruno, as the boss of a large company with a high net worth, he should have a better means of transportation.
Of course, Ichin wouldn't make such a decision on his own. He would need to discuss it with Utaha and Yukino first.
If it were something small, like a computer or a phone, there would be no need to discuss it. He could just pay for it himself. But a car, even a modest upgrade, would cost several million yen, so it wasn't something he could decide casually.
Hearing Ichin say this, Haruno nodded and didn't continue the topic.
"Ichin, have Utaha and Yukino already gone home?"
"Yeah, they left at around 3:30 to go buy groceries and cook dinner. Didn't you call Yukino?"
"No, it's just that my car broke down, so I called you first to pick me up after work. I'll tell her when I get home," Haruno said with a smile. "Ichin, now that you're like me, working regular hours every day, does it feel strange?"
"Not really."
Ichin shook his head. "It was pretty similar before anyway. The only difference is that I don't have to go to classes anymore, so I can focus entirely on the company. By the way, starting in April, we might need to go back from time to time. That won't be a problem for you, right?"
"Of course not!" Haruno nodded happily. "Bridesmaid dresses, right? I know, I'll definitely be picking mine personally! Ichin, what kind of style do you think I should choose?"
"As for styles, Utaha and I will look up a bunch of options, so just pick whatever you like. And if we really can't find anything suitable, I'll hire a designer and have something custom-made from scratch."
"That sounds great. Let's look first, and if nothing works, we'll design one!"
Imagining the scene, Haruno said happily, "When the time comes, our bridesmaid lineup is going to be absolutely stunning!"
"Of course it will."
Chatting happily, the two of them soon arrived home.
After parking the car, Haruno cheerfully pushed open the door.
"We're back!"
Yukino came out of the kitchen and looked at Haruno and Ichin entering together. "Sister, you came back together today?"
Haruno smiled and nodded. "Yeah, my car broke down, so I had Ichin pick me up!"
At that moment, Utaha, wearing an apron, also peeked out from the kitchen.
"Your car broke down?"
Haruno then explained what had happened.
After listening, Yukino let out a relieved sigh and patted her chest. "Good thing it was just the car and not an accident."
She didn't really care about the car itself, but she was worried about the person driving it.
Haruno walked over happily and hugged her younger sister, rubbing against her. "Don't worry, I only found out after lunch that it was broken. It got towed right away afterward. The new car will arrive tomorrow afternoon, so I won't need Ichin to pick me up anymore. Oh, and I asked him if he wanted to change his car too. He said he'd come back and discuss it with you."
Utaha and Yukino both turned to look at Ichin.
Ichin picked up Peppa from the sofa and said, "We're talking about several million yen. If I'm going to spend that kind of money, of course I need to talk to you two first, right?"
Utaha and Yukino both smiled, clearly happy with his attitude.
Even if Ichin had made the decision on his own, they wouldn't have said anything, but the fact that he considered their opinions and wanted to discuss it together meant a lot.
Seeing the exchange between the three of them, Haruno said in a slightly sour tone, "Can you stop looking at each other like that? I'm hungry!"
Utaha snapped back to reality and smiled. "Alright, dinner will be ready soon. Haruno-san, go rest for a bit and have some water. Ichin, you too, go take off your coat and change."
"Got it, got it."
After dinner, the four of them sat together, looking at the tablet in Haruno's hands. It displayed information on various high-end cars, including some well-known sports cars.
"Ichin, are you sure you don't want a sports car?"
"No need. It's not necessary," Ichin said after taking a glance. "Sports cars aren't practical for me. Even though Yukino has her own car, when we go out together, it's better to use one car, right? And I'm not the type who likes to show off. Sports cars have never been in my consideration, even when I bought my first car."
"Sigh… that's a shame. A lot of sports cars look really nice, and I could even get you a good price."
But seeing that Ichin wasn't interested, Haruno didn't push further. Based on his preferences, she picked out two of BMW's latest models: a black one for Ichin and a white one for Yukino.
Yukino's car had already been in use for four years, so it was a good opportunity to replace hers as well.
Yukino had no objections. The new model looked great, and she liked it, so she agreed.
After choosing the models, Haruno smiled. "Alright, I'll have someone place the order now. They should be delivered to the house the day after tomorrow. Ichin, remember to pay me then."
"I can pay you now if you want."
"No need," Haruno waved her hand. "You can pay after you inspect the cars and confirm everything's fine. I know the dealership, so there's no rush."
With the car purchase settled, there was nothing else to do. Ichin decided to go take a bath.
He had just entered the bathroom with a change of clothes and hadn't even started undressing when the door opened.
"Ichin, I'm coming in~~~~"
"Utaha?" Ichin smiled as he looked at her holding clothes. "What, want to bathe together?"
"Of course, let's bathe together."
Utaha smiled and winked at him, throwing him a playful glance. "I'll scrub your back. Want me to?"
"Hmm, sure, sure. But just you? Isn't Yukino coming?"
"Hehe, I wanted to invite her too, but Haruno-san held her back to chat, so I came up by myself."
What followed was naturally a pleasant time bathing together.
Nearly an hour later, the two of them finally came out of the bathroom.
Ichin stretched in satisfaction, while Utaha clung to his arm, her face flushed, her body lacking much strength.
She felt a bit of regret. She hadn't been exercising much lately. She really should have dragged Yukino along too.
