It's been a week since I got the news concerning the Marquises. Hitti and Jae came back with more info the other day. Looks like two days from now is when they plan to strike. I'm fully prepared just in case though, so I'm not particularly all that worried about the outcome.
Today was my day off. After another genuinely grueling week of knightly duty, I was finally given my first ever day off work. Apparently, two days each month was all the free time I was allowed, so I was definitely going to spend today not holed up inside my room, but rather, out exploring the lively city.
"Ari, today I'd like for you to spoil me," I said with a wide grin.
For some reason, she looked incredibly excited. Her eyes were sparkling brightly, looking like she was absolutely on cloud nine.
