As Gildart's words left his mouth, he released his killing intent. The killing intent of a veteran S-rank wizard came down on Laxus. At this moment, Laxus felt he was in a cold cellar. Cold sweat began to run down his back as his hands began to tremble.

But then, he took a deep breath and clenched his fists tight. The shaking stopped. His eyes began to shine with determination once again. ' No, how can I tremble like this? I am going to become an S-Class mage... I won't let anyone stand in my way, not even Gildarts! ' Laxus thought as lightning began to crackle. Due to Laxus's excitement, his body also began to dragonize.

"Oh, is this the same as Akira? Did you also manage to take a step forward in your dragon slayer magic? " Gildarts asked as he looked at Laxus's transformation with interest.

Laxus didn't say anything; he just crouched down and looked at Gildarts like a hunter ready to hunt his prey. With his new transformation, Laxus felt his confidence rise again. After all according to Akira, dragons and dragon slayers are bug-like beings who are far more powerful than any mage.

"Come on! Bring it on, Gildarts!" Laxus shouted, the fighting spirit burning bright in his eyes once more.

Gildarts let out a deep laugh. "Haha, that's the spirit, kid! Come on then, let this old man see what kind of miracles a transformed dragon slayer can really do."

The air crackled with tension, but this time, Gildarts didn't wait. He moved first, launching himself forward to start the real battle. With his magic power gathered around his fist as he punched straight towards Laxus.

With lightning enhancing his senses, Laxus, with minimal movements, dodged Gildarts' fists and sent out an attack of his own. But Gildart's reaction movements were not slower than Laxus.

He calmly blocked Laxus's strike and kicked him straight in the abdomen. Laxus was sent flying towards the ground. But Laxus, just before touching the ground, flipped and got his balance back. And then Laxus took a deep breath and shouted,

" Lightning Dragon's Roar "

The roar filled with Laxus's magic went straight towards Gildarts. Gildarts saw the golden roar coming down at him. He crossed his arms in front of his chest, and his white magic flared up. The golden beam hit him with a massive explosion, sending dust and sparks everywhere.

Laxus landed on the ground, breathing hard. He watched the smoke, waiting to see if his attack worked. But as the dust cleared, Gildarts was still standing there. His coat was a bit burned, but he had a big grin on his face.

"Not bad, Laxus! That actually stung a little," Gildarts said.

" You damn monster." Seeing Gildarts unharmed even after taking his attack head-on, Laxus cursed under his breath.

"Hahaha, Laxus, that's not nice. " Gildarts spoke; he patted his coat and dusted off his clothes. "And now it's my turn," he added as he disappeared.

Suddenly, Gildarts was right in front of him. He punched the air, and a wall of crushing force hit Laxus. Laxus tried to block it with his lightning, but the crush magic was too strong. It broke through his defense and sent him crashing through three thick trees.

Laxus coughed and struggled to get up. His body felt heavy, but his fighting spirit was still burning.

As Laxus was getting ready for round 3, a familiar voice cut through the air, freezing him in his tracks—literally. A sudden, massive wave of ice magic rushed forward, turning the entire battlefield into a frozen wasteland in the blink of an eye.

"Hey, now, boys. Before you get carried away, don't forget you've still got me to deal with," Ur said calmly, her boots clicking against the ice as she stepped into the center of the frozen clearing.

Gildarts didn't look the least bit bothered. He stayed relaxed, a small smirk playing on his lips. "Oh, Ur? You looking to join the fun too?" Even though he knew Ur was a mage at the caliber of a Great Wizard Saint, Gildarts wasn't that worried; for him, this much was still not enough to make him vary.

Just then, lightning rumbled as Laxus broke free from the cage Ur just threw him in. He cast a cold look at Ur and spoke, " Ur don't interfere with my battle. "

Ur ignored Laxus's threat and spoke indifferently, " Now now, Laxus, don't you know only the capable get to make demands? You are still too early to challenge someone in Gildart's callibur. "

Laxus gritted his teeth in annoyance as he heard Ur's words. Although it is disheartening, he knew that he was still no match for Gildarts. All this time, Gildarts was playing around with him. If he were serious, Laxus knew for sure that he would be defeated in one move.

But even knowing that, Laxus still refused to give up. So what if he could be defeated by Gildarts in one move? Unless Gildarts broke his two legs, he would still stand up and fight him.

Watching Laxus remain stubborn, Ur and Gildarts both shook their heads. While they could admire his guts, right now he was just being reckless. To become an S-class wizard, you have to be able to judge a situation properly. Basically, you have to know when to be afraid of someone stronger than you.

Laxus had been undefeated for so long that he had completely forgotten what fear felt like. To Ur and Gildarts, this was way too dangerous to ignore. If Laxus didn't understand his own limits, he might take on a mission he couldn't handle and end up getting himself killed. S-class missions are no joke—the death rate is incredibly high because of how dangerous they are. And no one wants Laxus to become a part of this death rate because of their negligence.

' Sorry, Laxus, I will make it up to you later, ' Gildarts thought as he gave a signal to Ur. Ur nodded imperceptibly, agreeing to go with the flow.

" Sorry, Laxus, you should sleep for now. You are too young to become an S-rank mage, " Gildarts spoke as he suddenly disappeared with a speed that is far stronger than before. And before Laxus could understand his words, he punched straight in the stomach and lost consciousness there.

Gildarts then threw the unconscious Laxus straight towards Ur, who, in return, froze him into an ice sculpture.

She then created an ice tiger to take Laxus away from here. With the incoming battle, Laxus may actually get hurt because of the aftershock.

Ur and Gildarts looked at each other, and suddenly, both of them released their auras at once. Gildart's crush magic clashed against Ur's ice magic, destroying the battlefield and scaring all the nearby monsters to run away in fear.

"Well then, since the kids are away, shall we begin our fight, Gildarts? " Ur asked with a smile as she released her fighting spirit.

" Hahaha, well, that's fine by me. After all, compared to those brats, you, Ur, have the greatest possibility of becoming this year's S-class mage. " Gildarts said with a laugh.

" Oh, I'm flattered by your praise, " Ur chuckled, not taking his words to heart because she knew that apart from her, there was another monster who was far stronger than her in this assessment.

' Speaking of which, where is that kid Akira? Did he run into an S-class monster on the way ' Ur thought seriously. After all, a person's record travels with them for life.
