Chapter 11 - The King's Challenge

Kriel stood at the mouth of the Astral Mines, and the air buzzed with a tense electric charge that made him feel jittery. Weird void memories flickered in and out of his mind, making everything feel totally off-balance. He could sense something sinister lurking even before he spotted it heavy dread weighed down his chest, making it hard to breathe.

"Whoa, so you're the one messing with the System, huh?" A cool voice slid out from the shadows. It had a laid-back yet menacing vibe. Suddenly, a beam of light shone down, revealing Zenith, looking like he'd just walked out of a wild anime. His body was covered in fifteen glowing marks hinting at a power that could wipe out entire cities. Wild white hair framed golden eyes that seemed to dig right into Kriel's soul.

"A Mark King," Kriel asserted, harnessing void energy to create a protective barrier around him. He grinned, clutching Zero's severed head like a twisted trophy.

Zenith's eyes snapped to the head, shock giving way to pure rage. "You killed my pawn!" he roared, fury radiating from him.

Kriel shrugged, unfazed. "Sentiment is for losers. All that matters is power."

In a bold move, he chucked Zero's head at Zenith like it was a football. Zenith barely caught it, his expression shifting between disbelief and anger. "You're pretty creative for a markless fool," he shot back, irritation lacing his voice.

Kriel shot him a nonchalant smile. "I don't need friends, just tools."

Let the Fight Begin

The air crackled with energy as they clashed, throwing them into chaos. Zenith struck first, faster than the wind, punching Kriel with a force that sent a shockwave through the ground. The impact annihilated a nearby mountain range, turning it to dust while trees were flung aside like they were nothing. Kriel absorbed the strike without flinching, the void energy taking the brunt.

"Not bad," he said, blood spilling from his mouth. "My turn." With a formidable haymaker enveloped in void energy, he shattered the sound barrier. Zenith dodged just in time, countering with a gravity palm that created a gaping hole big enough to swallow a small town. Kriel laughed, slipping through it unscathed and landing a brutal elbow to Zenith's ribs. Crunch breaking bones echoed as Zenith crashed backwards into the woods, boiling the nearby river.

**[New Ability Activated: Void Sight: See reality through chaos patterns. Warning: Normal physics may not apply.]**

Zenith soared into the air, his marks sparkling like fireworks. "Pathetic," he sneered, launching a flurry of Light Lances that sliced through mountains like they were made of butter. One beam grazed Kriel's shoulder, searing into his flesh. He grinned, dodging the chaos like taking a stroll through the park while animals fled in terror as the ground cracked and lava bubbled up.

"Interesting," Zenith noted, sharpening his focus. "Most people don't survive the first hit."

"Well, I'm not just 'most people,'" Kriel replied, sending a swarm of chaotic lances at Zenith. Zenith shattered many mid-air, but one penetrated deep into his arm, blood spraying out from the impact.

**Escalation: Pure Chaos**

The battle spiraled into full lunacy. Zenith zipped in like a white blur, driving his knee into Kriel's gut and sending him crashing through the mine entrance. KRAKOOM! The earth shuddered as dust clouds swirled skyward like a disaster scene.

Kriel burst from the rubble, laughing maniacally, void energy swirling like a tempest around him. He unleashed a point-blank Void Nova, obliterating a part of the valley and leaving behind scars of emptiness.

"You're holding back," Kriel mocked, deflecting another massive blow. "Is this how a king fights?"

Zenith's smile vanished. "Want to see how a king truly fights? Let me show you the stark difference between your rebellion and true power, peasant." An icy chill wrapped around them as Zenith's marks glimmered, bending reality. He unleashed Order Collapse an annihilating gravity storm. Kriel charged through the storm, delivering a crushing blow at its core. WHAM! The void imploded, sending Zenith spiraling like a ragdoll, blood trailing behind.

"Damn, you're quick," Zenith admitted, stabilizing mid-air before retaliating with Mark Overdrive. His fists blurred, each punch carrying the force of a nuclear explosion. One connected with Kriel's jaw, snapping his head back. But Kriel didn't back down. He responded with a massive uppercut that smashed Zenith into the cliffside, embedding him in stone. "But speed alone won't save you."

"I don't need speed," Kriel declared, striding through the chaos. "The void remembers."

**The Final Showdown**

"Hey, Zenith," Kriel shouted over the roaring chaos, the forests now ablaze and the sky filled with thick ash. "I've watched worlds end and empires crumble. I've never seen anything as weak as your precious System."

Zenith glared fiercely as he dove down, conjuring **Apex Annihilation**, his fifteen marks swirling into a brilliant spear. "You dare mock the System? It represents our evolution, you fool!"

"Evolution?" Kriel laughed, his voice echoing amid the chaos. "The System is a cage, and I'm here to shatter it."

Zenith lunged at Kriel, and Kriel met him head-on with a **Void Devourer Vortex**, darkness consuming everything as a storm that tore through the ground, collapsing the Astral Mines. They exchanged relentless blows Zenith's fists smashing Kriel's ribs while Kriel ruptured Zenith's jaw. Blood sprayed everywhere, and shockwaves sent debris flying.

"You're nothing but a monster, Kriel," Zenith gasped, fury boiling as he surged forward with **System Eclipse**, a crushing force aimed to take Kriel down.

"I'm not a monster. Monsters are made, not born," Kriel replied, towering amidst the chaos. "I'm the future. And you? You're just a fading memory."

With one last push, they unleashed every ounce of their energy. Zenith's marks exploded in a blinding light; Kriel's void energy became a vortex ready to consume all. Their clash was a cosmic explosion akin to the Big Bang. The continent shook, reality seemed to fracture, stability dropped to 53%, and the sky ruptured.
