Chapter 879 - Chapter 879 Night Scene

Shiro's healing involved Nen and was of the instant-recovery type.

So, even though Netero was still lying in bed, his body was already fully healed.

Law knew this. After answering Cheadle's questions, he didn't plan to go back into the room and instead went straight downstairs.

In the living room, aside from Shiro and Ging, everyone else was present.

Seeing Law come downstairs, Morel and the others all stood up.

"Aren't you all going up to see him?"

Law glanced over everyone in the living room but didn't see Shiro or Ging… clearly, they had left first.

Morel and Knov exchanged a look. The former looked at Law and said, "Cheadle has business with the Chairman. It's not convenient for us to go up."

Law didn't see any inconvenience, but since that's what Morel and Knov thought, he didn't say anything more.

He nodded slightly to them, stating his intention to leave. "It's quite late, we should be going."

"Alright, I'll see you out," Morel said.

"I'll see them out," Knov interjected, taking over.

Morel gave Knov a strange look. With his sunglasses on, no one could see the peculiar glint in his eyes.

Seeing Law and his group off wasn't a big deal, but seeing Knov so proactive, Morel didn't object.

"No need to be polite, we know the way," Law refused.

Machi and the others silently gathered beside Law, clearly intending to leave with him.

"How can we not!"

Knov paid no attention to that. After tossing out that sentence, he hurried to the entrance, waiting for Law and the others.

"..."

Everyone watched the overly enthusiastic Knov, sensing a touch of peculiarity.

Palm lowered her head, her teeth grinding against the white lapel of her clothes, her messy, long black hair hiding her face and actions.

She was well aware of Law's strength, so even if she was unhappy, she absolutely dared not cause trouble again.

Seeing Knov so proactive and enthusiastic, Law found it hard to refuse again.

And so, Knov saw Law's group out of the villa area, standing at the main gate, watching their figures recede into the distance until they disappeared into the night before turning back.

On the main road, Biscuit glanced back at the distant lights, then stared at Law, her eyes revealing that peculiar gaze unique to fujoshis.

Under the close-range assault of Biscuit's gaze, Law couldn't help but shiver. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Heh heh heh."

Biscuit didn't speak, just let out a perverted laugh that even her loli voice couldn't hide.

"..."

Law remembered the last time Biscuit laughed like this was while looking at a blonde big-boob magazine.

"That person... seems, seems..." Machi looked puzzled.

"???"

Law looked at Machi, a bunch of question marks in his mind, afraid Machi would turn into Biscuit 2.0 and say something terrifying.

"Seems to really admire you."

Machi found a suitable word with difficulty.

Seeing Machi's words were still normal, Law breathed a sigh of relief. It was just Biscuit's incessant perverted laughter that was a bit much.

Beside them, Uvogin and Nobunaga also stared at Law with strange looks. In contrast, Nique was more low-key, lagging behind the group, as inconspicuous as a shadow.

He was still an outsider now, finding it hard to integrate into Law's circle. Especially with his heart still in Law's hands, it inevitably created a barrier.

"Not bad, Law," Nobunaga said, slapping Law's shoulder hard, as if venting some emotion. "Now you even have a little fanboy. Popular with both guys and girls, huh."

"Get lost."

Law irritably swatted Nobunaga's hand away.

He could tell now that Nobunaga definitely spent a lot of time online, as he was now quite fluent with internet slang.

As for the matter with Knov, he didn't want to explain too much, especially about the Dark Continent. He had always avoided bringing it up in front of Machi, Uvogin, and Nobunaga.

He was worried that if he casually mentioned it, Machi and the others might act like Buhara, not considering the risks at all and blindly following along.

That wasn't what he wanted to see.

Law wanted to change the subject, but Nobunaga wouldn't give up this rare opportunity, constantly stirring things up.

Finally, Law couldn't take it anymore and directly disarmed him, throwing Nobunaga's katana into Kuro's space.

With his sword taken, Nobunaga immediately became docile.

It was already late at night. There weren't many pedestrians on the street, but quite a few cars were coming and going.

As the group passed the city's largest nightclub, Uvogin's feet seemed to take root, firmly planted on the spot.

"I'm going in to have some fun. You guys go ahead."

Uvogin looked at the group that had already walked several meters away and licked his lips.

Hearing Uvogin, everyone stopped.

Nobunaga turned to look at Uvogin, then glanced at Law, wondering if he should ask Law for his sword back so he could go in and have fun with Uvogin.

Law looked up at the nightclub's neon sign overhead. The dazzling lights flashed wantonly, slowly imprinting deep into his eyes.

'Out of place.'

For some reason, that phrase popped into Law's mind.

Then, he lowered his gaze to Uvogin and, on a whim, said, "Let's go together."

Hearing this, Uvogin's eyes immediately lit up. Excitedly, he said, "I was waiting for you to say that!"

After saying that, regardless of what Machi might think, he strode over, threw an arm around Law's shoulders as if afraid Law would change his mind, and quickly pulled him towards the nightclub entrance.

Law looked back at Machi and Biscuit. "Maybe you two should head back first?"

Machi looked at Law, smiled slightly, and replied with remarkable calmness. "No way."

Law, Uvogin, and Nobunaga all felt an inexplicable chill in their hearts.

"Hurry up!"

Biscuit was already at the entrance urging them on. Who knows when she had snuck over there.

"Then I'll head back to the company."

Nique looked at the group, instinctively pulling up the clothing covering his entire chin.

"Come along," Law said.

"It's not convenient."

Nique pointed to the reddish fur on his face, then to the hood on his head, and the inexplicable bulge at his back hiding his tail.

His meaning was clear: If his ears and tail were accidentally exposed, it would likely cause panic. Even in a nightclub environment where they'd be less noticeable, there was still a hidden risk.

"That's a minor issue," Law said seriously.

For some reason, Nique felt a chill run down his back.

Several minutes later, Nique followed behind Law and the others with a look of utter despair, walking through the uniquely styled corridor.

"You'll give my ears and tail back when we get back, right?" Nique asked cautiously.

"Yes."

Law didn't even look back. He had long noticed Nique seemed somewhat disconnected from the group. To ensure better cooperation for the future Dark Continent trip, he needed to correct Nique's perspective a bit.

Nique had no idea of Law's thoughts, only full of reluctance.

Just now, Law had sliced off his ears and tail and sealed them into a book.

Although the whole process didn't cause pain, it wasn't pleasant mentally.

'Speaking of which, was it really necessary to drag me to a place like this?'

Nique let out a deep sigh in his heart.

"What's so good about a place like this..."

Upon entering the nightclub, a wave of "heat" hit them. Music and lights intertwined; people were dancing wildly in the pit.

Nique's mouth hung slightly open. The sentence he was thinking in his heart was cut short.

"Maybe, possibly..."

Nique plunged headlong into the dance floor.

Law and the others paid him no mind, directly securing a booth and ordering the most expensive drinks available.

Biscuit craned her neck, peering at the dance floor. Her eyes were like scanners, seemingly trying to pick out every high-quality hottie.

Law sank into the sofa, his ears filled with deafening sound waves, staring at the dance floor, lost in thought.

In this noisy environment, his heart had instead become completely calm.

He was thinking about the Dark Sonata, still unable to make the decision to bring his numerical value to one hundred percent.

'Hmm?'

The flame pattern on the back of his hand grew slightly warm, it was Kuro reminding him.

Someone was watching them.

Law snapped out of his contemplation, his gaze naturally falling on a certain spot.

In a room.

Cheadle had gathered the core members of the moderate faction: Mizaistom, Botobai, and Ginta.

They sat on the sofa. Being called over at this hour definitely meant something important.

Cheadle then shared the intelligence about the Chimera Ant eggs.

The expressions of the other three in the room all changed.
